This is an amazing store that you need to experience. Are you ready for a quick and easy…read moredescription? A Mexican meat market with great hot foods owned by a Persian! I mean you can't make this stuff up! This is really the beginning of an American success story that you want to be a part off. Everybody welcomes you as you go through the store. On the right is a small seating area where you enjoy a hot meal. You can order some of the best Mexican food and tacos right in this store. On the right side you will package deals for meat packages. The prices are great for the cuts and amount of food. You continue through a packed grocery store section but not before you pass by the freshly cut meat section. A very large selection of meats here! Then what I found the most interesting part of my visit was to meet the young owner- Mahdi! It was refreshing to hear his story. Here is a former NYC banker with a Master degree in statistics. WHAT!!??!! Having a conversation over cultures, business, politics and the future is worth coming and supporting Mahdi not to mention the good food.

Personally I love the ground Chuck, no grease and it won't ruin sitting in your refrigerator after a day or two. The flavor and taste of the ground chuck is so fresh and the taste is great.! My granddaughtergrand and I can definitely tell the difference if it's Stone Cold Meat or any other protein. The service is always friendly & the ambience is set up so well it's so easy to find everything you are looking for. Also the way everything is laid out you might find something you didn't know you would want to try. They make a phenomenal green onion sausage! Once you start getting your proteins from Stone Cold, you will never buy from the grocery store. I can honestly say I have not and will not buy from the grocery stores, I will do without until I can get to Stone Cold. It's that big of a difference.!

They have the MEATS! I received a gift card from family and finally got my rear in gear to check…read moreit out this last weekend. They have quite a selection of everything here. They have freezer sections, fresh cuts, vacuum sealed items, I'd even go as far as saying that if you needed something off-menu, they might be able to hook you up. The folks behind the counter were very patient, and super efficient. We ended up leaving with two maple blueberry breakfast sausages, two decent sized New York Strip steaks, 2 girthy Who Dat Balls, 2 giant stuffed chicken breasts (one Italian, one 4 cheese), a dozen boudin stuffed tamales, and two thiccc vac-sealed brisket burgers. Even so, there so much more to go back for. Luckily this joint sits right along the route to family, and we will be back for more. They have an array of your usual meats, plus a plethora of exotic and wild meats, and accompaniments. Some of their items can come pre-seasoned or pre-rubbed. Parking is easy on a weekend, but could be tight during rush. They also have a customer service reward program, so get your stamp on. I'll update after I have cooked some of the foods, and sampled more of the inventory.

Herbert's Specialty Meats on Richmond near the Galleria instantly took me back home. The moment you walk in, the number of items from Louisiana is delightful Their boudin, seasonings, and prepared items reminded me so much of my grandmother's gumbo, boudin, and rich, slow-cooked stews--comfort food that warms your soul. You can taste the authenticity and love in everything they make. This is the kind of place that understands balance, spice, and tradition. Customer service was excellent--friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help you find exactly what you're craving. There are tons of choices, whether you're stocking up for a cookout or just grabbing something to satisfy that Cajun craving. For anyone missing Louisiana flavors or wanting the real deal in Houston, Herbert's is a must-stop. It feels like a little piece of "The Boot"
