    Torta de Carne de fajita

Decided to come back to eat at this taco truck. I had tried it before and I remember It was really good, but not only did the price go up ( which is understandable due to inflation) The tacos are small and the amount of meat inside the torta, gordita, and the quesadilla are very minimum, especially for the price. The tacos and gordita were really greasy. They did pack a good amount of salsa. The service was great I called in the order and it was ready in 10 minutes. They only accept cash and Zelle just a heads up. The best thing I enjoyed was the horchata. Overall...ok not as good as it was the first time.

The tacos was pretty good. I don't think they are made to order. I think the meat had been sitting awhile as some of the pieces of meet were kind of hard. Don't be a cheap ass. Cook your meat fresh lol. I couldn't tell the difference between bistec and fajita lol. My god I wonder what quality or what actual meat we are getting rom tacos trucks. Don't even wanna really think about it lol. The salsas were really good. Man they had this orange one that i assume was habanero based. My god. That sauce lot me on fire! My lips were burning in a good way. I would like some more of that sauce. Don't get lost in the sauce. They definitely perfected the sauce. They got the sauce. The lady was really nice who took my order. This is also a first. The actually have carne guisada plates at a taco truck! This is a very rare find! I will have to try that next time.

Lunch combo special with 3 tacos (choice of chicken or beef), 2 sides (chips and guac) and a soda.

Reading the previous comments below, yes it's not the best tacos in the world or in DC. I don't really expect a food truck to serve me legit and authentic tacos. They are food trucks for a reason, they have limited space and ingredients and have to make the most out of what they have. I ordered the lunch combo which is 3 tacos, 2 sides and a soda. I paid $11 overall which was pretty good for what I ordered. The tacos were doable but they're not bad. They're not greasy which is a plus and had lots of toppings in it. The guac is delicious and fresh however salsa was ok. It's a good combo when you need something cheap and craving some Mexican food. Not authentic but it does the job for what it's worth.

I eat here multiple times a week. Consistently delicious and great value. Highly recommended for whenever that taco craving hits. I usually get the beef tacos topped with cilantro and onions. All for $1 per taco. And after the tacos I hit up Spring Snow for dessert ;) El senor taco por vida

I've tried their tacos and torta, both are good but definitely prefer the tacos. Tacos are not greasy and have a lot of filling. Try the tacos de chicharron, tripa, and pastor. You can call ahead to order (and I would) because if there are big orders before yours, you'll be waiting for a while. I need to verify hours next time I go. The owner told me last time they are open 9-11 but not sure if that's daily. As of right now, this is the only place I know that serves good tacos in the area so I'm happy to have found them!

Although the tacos are tiny, they're absolutely delish and worth the $1. I got 6 for $6 and it was the best $6 spent on food lol Also I got my food pretty quick, check them out!!!

$1 tacos!!!! I love this taco truck! They have a large menu and reasonable prices. I ordered the pastor and chicken tacos and they taste great. The tacos are small, but delicious and really fill you up! There is a patio area next to the truck if you want to dine outside. Service is fast and food is usually ready in a few minutes. I highly recommend this place!!

I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.

I usually rock with Chycho's. Their burritos? Fire. Like, "I'd fight my own cousin for the last…read morebite" level. But today... today Chycho's betrayed me on a spiritual level. I ordered a chicken quesadilla thinking I was about to enjoy a nice, chill meal. Instead, what I got looked like someone folded a tortilla over a crying, unprepared chicken and sent it out to die again. First red flag: It wasn't even cut. Just one sad, floppy tortilla blanket with vibes of "I gave up halfway through." Second red flag -- and the one that sent me into survival mode: I opened it up and saw chicken that was straight-up pink and red like it was auditioning for a role as "Still Alive #3" on Animal Planet. That meat wasn't undercooked -- it was practically begging to go back in the coop. I stopped eating immediately because I'm 99% sure I avoided a speedrun of food poisoning. My stomach already sent me a text message saying, "We not doing this today." The worst part? Chycho's knows they can do better. Their burritos slap every time. But this quesadilla? This was a cry for help from the kitchen. Somebody in the back said, "Cook it? Nah, let's just warm it up enough to trick him." Absolutely disgusting. I've never left a review before, but this quesadilla unlocked a new level of disappointment in my soul. Fix it, Chycho's. I still want to love you -- but I'm not trying to meet God over a $10 quesadilla.

I forgot about the dessert too!.. And, the staff are very friendly and helpful offering free taste samples of all the weekend specials... (Which filled me up!) Wow! Bottom line , this is my new favorite for menudo... awesome flavor, contents are spot on great (with onion.. a first!), and the barbacoa was awesome!! We ordered to go and for the first time, we couldn't eat it all.. we have leftovers!! Las Tarascas will be a prime resource for great food and all my immediate grocery needs... Worth a visit for sure!! Just my opinion.

I initially googled birria tacos near me and seen a review say something along the lines of 'their birria tacos are to die for' so I had to try them out. Thank you to whoever posted that review! It was actually like 5 minutes up the street, which was so convenient. It's next to the store/gas station. Plenty of options for parking, but there's not any traditional parking lines or spaces. I just parked near the side. Also, I believe they ONLY take cash! Of course I ordered the birria tacos and ate them there. They were pretty good and I could definitely see myself coming back (especially for the convenience). I will say that I've had better (I'm a huuuuge authentic taco lover & I've had plenty of birria tacos from different places/cities). I would give them a 8/10. I was looking for it to be more on the "messier" side (packed with meat, real cheesy, loaded with onions and cilantro), but theirs was more on the conservative side lol which I'm glad they took their time making it, but I like my birria real messy! I did find another birria spot but it's 20 min away so I would still come back due to convenience. Overall great tacos!
