There's not much nearby on this stretch of service road that is dominated by a gas station and a few mid-tier hotels. But it's clean and the service is good and they have beer. My eye was drawn to the Carne Asada and so after I'd starting drinking a bottle of Pacifico Clara, that's what I ordered. About ten minutes of chips and salsa later, dinner arrived. Two large steaks on a sizzling "fajita" pan with the usual side items. The steaks were perfect. Easy to cut, easy to eat. Delicious. Service was great. We ordered take out while staying at the hotel across the way (bad hotel, don't stay there). I found a menu online for them and it wasn't the right one so I didn't get what I thought I was ordering first go round. Since they were so close, I just went back and corrected it. It was more my fault than theirs. They were super nice about it and got my 2nd order to me fast. Salsa is good. Tacos were yummy. While picking up the food I noted it was a pretty cool environment. I am from California and I am always on the hunt for authentic Mexican food. This is not it. It is not bad considering that we are in Mississippi and most Mexican places here are mediocre. The tamale actually had real shredded beef unlike other Mexican restaurants that have ground beef in the Sip which is a Real blasphemy! I am with my old man and he does not like to try new things. Mostly everywhere we go he orders the chicken wings and he said they were good. My food was good as well. We are in Canton Mississippi so there's not much here. This was the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Ugh! I should have checked Yelp first. They had cheese enchiladas on the menu, but when I ordered it, he asked if I wanted cheese on the enchilada. Wow, I've never heard of a cheese enchilada with cheese sauce on top, that's kind of overkill! I said, no, I want red sauce. He asked if I want cheese IN the enchilada. Um, yeah? Isn't that kind of the definition of cheese enchiladas? The beans and rice were fine, but sauce was terrible and the enchiladas had unmelted cheese inside. It was gross, but I ate it because I was starving. I think they literally didn't know what a cheese enchilada was, even though it was on the menu. I am writing this while sitting a booth where i have been for a good 45 minutes waiting for any waiter to come near us. We got our drinks and food promptly but after he gave us our food we didn't see our waiter again. After waiting a long while I finally just got up and went over and asked someone for our ticket. So the service is poor let's talk about the food. It was terrible. The greasiest food I've ever seen. Not only was it greasy it was bland and obviously just slopped on a plate. I usually take home my leftovers to my dog but there is no way I'll be feeding him that filth. My last visit here wasn't quite this bad so I thought I would give it another chance. If you like mediocre bland food this is the place for you. The restaurant is clean and the service is good but the food is below average. The salsa had no spice whatsoever and the vegetables that came with my shrimp were broccoli cauliflower and carrots like you get at the freezer at the grocery store. Will not be back. read more

So I stopped here and the food was okay to be generous, ( I had a tamale it tasted like the ones out of the can) the cheese dip I got was cold, and the chip were pretty stale. Worst Mexican dining experience ever. Some dude who was supposed to show us to our table instead stayed on his phone call and pointed to our table. The chips sucked. The vegetarian fajitas came with luke-warm and over-cooked broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.. I cannot fathom why they would use those unless they enjoy grabbing frozen bags of vegetables from Walmart and adding them to their sad assortment of kitchen ingredients. Finally, the taco salad had no sour cream, no beans, no dressing, nothing at all except for a tiny amount of lettuce I was probably taken from my precut bag and a slice of tomato on top.
