Not planning on going back. It's always been good but this last time the chips were not edible. They'd been cooked in old oil apparently and tasted terrible. We hated to ask for another basket of chips but we had to since we couldn't eat them. The second batch was almost as bad. The server wasn't that pleasant either. We never got refills on drinks and the rest of the food was decent but not worth going back. After seeing the other reviews mentioning they've seen roaches in the chips, I went to see their Health Inspection Score. Looks as though it was a C in Nov and a B in December. Things have to been very nasty to get those health scores, so I definitely won't be back. read more

I've gone here a lot over the years and practically grew up with this restaurant being our 'after church' lunch spot. When it was a newer restaurant, we came in so often, the manager knew us by name and we could always expect a free side of Queso dip. It got to the point where he and two other servers knew our order almost by heart (we never changed our order- shout out to the chicken and steak fajitas and the chicken taco salads). So in regard to service (and food), we always had a good time. Eventually the manger and the 2 servers we knew moved on but it was still our most frequented spot. There was a period before covid where the service + food was so mediocre that we stopped going. Recently though, we've started going again for birthdays and the service + food has been on point. Nothing tops our early days here but the servers are friendly, the food comes out quickly and has been great. read more

I ordered a fajita taco salad. They left out all veggies but the lettuce, guacamole and tomatoes. The guacamole and tomatoes were rotten. The two combined gave a rancid taste to the salad. I couldn't eat it which was upsetting considering it was 12$. The chips and salsa were good enough for 2 stars though! The service here can be very inconsistent, and it's usually very crowded on Friday and weekend nights. I've been several times, and although the servers aren't rude....let's just say that they aren't the most helpful. I also waited for drinks and salsa longer than at most restaurants. We got to the restaurant and asked to be seated at a table. The host sat us in the back of the restaurant behind a brick wall. There were several empty tables in the restaurant. My wife and daughter ordered beef tacos, and I ordered carne asada with a beef taco on the side. It took a long time for our food to come out, and the food was luke warm when it arrived at our table. When we were ready to pay for our ticket, the waiter never brought us our ticket. Instead, the manager came to our table and told me that the waiter charged another table for what we ordered. He showed me a picture of our ticket on his cellphone and told me he would have to manually input our charges. Their takeout service is much better than dining in. IF, and I mean IF, I ever go back, it will only be for take-out. read more

Came here with some friends and we all ordered margaritas. I was the last person to order and the waiter asked to see my ID - not a problem I sincerely understand since I am a younger customer. However, none of my other friends (who are also under the age of 25) were asked to provide identification. When I asked the waiter if he would ID anyone else he said "no just you". Chips are great when they're fresh (usually they are, just ask them for a new batch if they're not). I've had fajitas which are ok (sometimes not as sizzling or hot as I would like). Ate here again recently. The fajitas have no seasoning in the meat, very bland like just meat from the package to the grill, lifeless and boring. The same for the quesadillas and chimichanga. We asked before ordering if the entree's we selected had bell peppers and onions it it. The waiter nodded yes, but we were charged extra and there were hardly any bell peppers and onions. The onions we received in the chimichanga and quesadillas were burnt and unrecognizable. The avocado salsa was the strangest thing I've ever tasted. Honestly it tasted like someone put soap in it. After a triple taste, I could not continue eating it definitely weird. The salsa is at least flavorful, but the food just is not alive at all with any flavors. This is one of my favorite Americanized Mexican restaurants. The prices are great for the portion sizes and the cheese (on their salads, in their quesadillas, etc) is so good. We came here for lunch with about 7 people. The service was HORRIBLE. I am in shock at the bad service we were given. The waiter that we had at the beginning, I'm guessing , forgot he had a table to serve. We had to ask for more plates because we were not given enough. When asking for more plates, the guy gave us the finger to wait and walking away. I had to personally walk to the front of the kitchen and ask for 2 clean plates. Disappointing. Then finally, when we were done with our food. We had to get another waiter to give us our ticket, because our waiter was no where to be found. Funny thing is we saw our waiting sitting in the front. Despite being packed on a weekend after Cinco de Mayo this place was great. The food was fresh and hot and delicious. It came out fast and I waiter was attentive. They definitely aren't slacking in the kitchen here. I was impressed at just how soon our food came given the place was packed. The chips and salsa were good. Nice cheese dip.
