I enjoy mostly visiting such beautiful buildings at night and the idea of walking around this area at night wasn't really inspiring. I finally visited La Usina on a Sunday afternoon with a friend, and it looks really beautiful... But it's a bit underwhelming. We lined up for a photography exposition for a while, and the place was so crowded it really was difficult to appreciate the captions. Of course this was on a Sunday afternoon, so it was to be expected. I got the impression that the Usina, even when it's huge, doesn't really have a lot of stuff going on at all times (as it happens with the CCK). There was live music, which was nice, but just standing room to enjoy it. Luckily the band stopped playing right before it started drizzling. It's a really beautiful building, but the surrounding areas didn't make me feel safe enough to want to visit by myself. La Usina also didn't have any other fixed installations apart from wall art. I expected more. Still, it's really nice and, best of all, free.

I would recommend going here if you want to do more of the Americanized/European club scene. They played all American Top 40 and only threw in Spanish music a few times throughout the night. There is large dance floor in the middle and then bars on the edges. One quick tip about the process of getting a drink: you have to tell one of the people at the bar your order and then you will get a receipt after you pay. Then hand that to the bartender to get your drink. Naranja is more of a Tang than orange juice. Don't let it fool you. It's something you have to check out if you're in BA.Thursday nights have "after hours" which is basically an after work dance party... I'm into it. They really should start implementing it in America.

TL;DR: Don't jump, only dance…read more So this place is meant to be a "classy" club. Girls pay $150 at the door and guys pay $200. We went at 1 am and it was nearly empty. The party started at 3am. They played good music except for the fact that the guard approached us and specifically told us to stop jumping. So, just keep in mind that this club is only for dancing and not jumping.
