    Beef taco, cheese enchilada combo
    Jacob M.

So happy that El Toro Bravo is back open again! It was heartbreaking, what happened to their establishment. I am glad to report the food is still amazing, as is the service! We got a chance to finally return to Capitola this weekend and this was one of our first stops. The house made guac with chips is so dang good and their salsa is really good too. My wife loves their chicken tacos and I had the beef taco and cheese enchilada combo. Can't wait to come back next time!

Decided to try this place out since I was craving Mexican food. The food was DISGUSTING! Ordered a cheese enchilada ala cart. The grease was sitting on top that you could see it. When I took a bite, it was unbearable to swallow due to the extreme amount of grease so I had to spit it out (which I never do at restaurants) and I had almost thrown up. I didn't even dare to try another bite. When the waitress asked if I liked it since she noticed I didn't eat it, I admitted it was too greasy and she was just like "oh...". Not apologetic and didn't remove it from the bill. Needless to say, I will not be back!

PROs: Great location Suuuuuper nice waitress!! A part of the menu is dedicated to vegan options! CONs: A tad pricey ...

I'm having a bit of a sweet tooth at the moment so I got a churro which was $2. Not bad in my opinion especially here at the beach. I pay more for churros whenever I'm back in Fresno. It was delicious and satisfied my sweet tooth. The staff were all friendly and the outdoor seating with the cool breeze was scrumptious! I need. Also for all the dog lovers... They're dog friendly like most of Capitola. They came out to me with a menu which was sweet. They greeting me with a water bowl for my dog which I didn't even ask for yet. I felt like they were reading my mind and was being served hand and foot. I've had a wholesome experience. Thank you El Toro Bravo for making my experience here so welcoming.

AI (so it sounds EpiC!!!!!!!!) says: "San Marco Taqueria in Capitola is a pretty popular spot, known for its solid Mexican food, and their breakfast burrito is definitely a crowd favorite! If I remember right, their breakfast burritos are loaded with a good mix of eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and cheese, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. They've got that perfect balance of hearty and comforting--plus, their salsa is pretty legit! Have you been there before or just heard good things about their breakfast burrito?" The breakfast burrito was hot. (temperature-wise) It was filled with plenty of fillings, but potatoes and eggs only go so far. The winning solution was the salsa in the ketchup squeeze bottle looking things at the window. Unfortunately, I ran low on that stuff not even half way consuming the burrito. Fortunately, the burrito was a decent size. Win some, lose some. Got a chorizo breakfast burrito and wasn't overwhelmed by the meat content. Sort of wanted that to happen. Nice outdoor seating with a window to the outside, probably for serving customers who didn't want a roof. Bowls of water (a couple, at least) for the dog were found outside. Don't forget the salsa. (That's your flavor...everything else...meh...)

You have to find parking maybe blocks away and walk here but it is a very good place. Also tons of offerings for food. Do not let your eyes order for you because their super taco is massive. Highly recommend the baja perico fish taco or baja perico shrimp taco (pictured). They contain battered shrimp/fish, avocado, red cabbage, cheese, and a special orange sauce. They are quite large and heavy but perfect after a long beach day. The lengua super burrito was also good (and huge) when I last tried it. Don't recommend getting regular tacos here, they are just average. Service was mixed; first time I went they misheard my order (it was loud and service was rushed), and when I asked them a minute later about it they were unwilling to fix it. Next time I made sure to double check it and got the right tacos. There is a chip and salsa bar (free for customers). Two bathrooms that were just clean enough. Line here sometimes goes out the door but you shouldn't have to wait too long for food after ordering. It gets quite loud inside and there is limited seating so be patient or get your food to go.

Whatever it was we all really enjoyed it. The guac was creamy and limey. Most of us got combination plates. I got the 2 items: a cheese enchilada with the carne asada taco (it's a bit of an up charge & it was definitely worth it!) the asada was so delicious! Chewy and flavorful. The enchilada sauce was perfect too. My husband's combo plate, was similar but he got 3 items, including a pork tamale. He said it was great. Other things of note: the beans were good & not runny, according to others as I don't eat beans. Rice - so good, my kid ate an entire side of it. Loved the rice. Chili verde - incredible accounting to my MIL Daily lunch specials were repriced very reasonably & there's several options.

We went on a Monday for lunch, and there was no wait; we were seated immediately. Our waiter, Josiah, took good care of us throughout, and a manager also checked on us while we were eating to make sure everything was good. I had a mai tai that was amazing with fresh pineapple taste. I also ordered the Baja fish tacos. The fish was cooked just right with great toppings, including large pieces of avocado and a Chipotle sauce. My friend ordered chips and salsa and the clam chowder. The chowder was good, and the chips were fresh, but the red salsa was very bland. Not just mild with no spice, but bland, like not even any flavor. The green salsa was slightly better. Even so, we both enjoyed our meals and drinks and thoroughly enjoyed the view. I would definitely come back here for drinks and food! We should have just had the kid share 1 item. The cost of the food all felt a little pricier than I hope, but the food wasn't bad. I got the bajo tacos and it was a good size. It had deep fried fish in them. I felt the dipping sauce that came with it was pretty good too. My husband got the quesabirria tacos which I thought was pretty good.
