Extremely disappointed with our experience. We ordered the beef fajitas, and what was served looked nothing like fajita meat. Instead of sliced steak, the plate was filled with fat, cartilage, and very little actual meat. The texture and flavor were unlike any beef fajitas I've ever had, and we genuinely questioned whether we had been served the wrong cut of meat. We politely brought it to the staff's attention because we couldn't eat it. Instead of replacing the meal or removing it from the bill, we were still charged $41 for the meat. Being expected to pay full price for a dish that was mostly inedible was incredibly frustrating. We weren't asking for a free meal, we simply expected the restaurant to stand behind what they served and make it right. Unfortunately, they didn't. If this is what your restaurant considers beef fajitas, customers deserve to know before spending their money. read more

Service was good but the food is average at best. I ordered the skewers of shrimp and chicken which used to be very good and flavorful. However what I received was small cold uncleaned shrimp and bland chicken. For $27.99 i expect the food to at least be warm. We were going to split this meal and my wife would not even touch it. She knew it was bad just by looking at it. I am not a customer who complains. I simply eat and pay for what I ordered. But I will not be back or recommend this establishment. read more

We've tried to like Tony's but sadly, the food just isn't happening. It's the biggest Mexican restaurant in town, so you'd think they'd be doing better. The drinks are apparently where it's at though: lots of exciting cocktails and beers. We ordered nachos and margaritas on our first visit. They must broil the nachos after plating them because the chips were singed. The server was a sweetheart but served them with a proud smile. The ground meat was a pale brown with pink and swimming in not-quite-a-gravy, There was a white queso cheese over all and not the melted stuff you normally expect. Another time we tried the enchiladas. Again, the meat was unusual. I don't think it was undercooked, I just think it is a low quality product. The margs were fine, but be careful, they'll let you order a ginormous one if you're not careful! LOL! BLOT- if you find yourself in DeRidder, Louisiana, Eat Here! Clean! Great service, and very good food. There is a fun atmosphere upon entering with loads of picture opportunities. Big chairs, fun artwork, etc. The bar area is in the center of the restaurant with loads of places to sit. There are at least 12 tv's with all sports imaginable playing along with ice road truckers :) Something for everyone! Perfect start- warm spicy salsa and creamy beans. And the chips are perfect! We ordered the ribeye tampiqueño, which comes with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, one cheese enchilada and fresh tortillas. This steak is FLAVORFUL!! The cheese enchilada was perfectly balanced with loads of creamy cheese in a pillowy soft tortilla. I highly recommend. To finish there is an ice cream machine by the door. This place is definitely the highlight of Louisiana in my opinion. The service is a 10/10. We had about 5 different people help and fill our drinks. We had the actual owner and restaurant manager come and check up on us constantly. The food was amazing, and price was reasonable. I definitely recommend, and I was as actually very surprised this place doesn't have 5 stars already. Service was amazing. Our friends baby accidentally dropped the chips that were brought and as soon as anyone saw, we had 3 different people come and clean for us. Happy hour is also very worth it. We had 3 drinks each, and they were no more than $13. Very please with the service, thank you so so much for such a great time and will definitely come again. read more

The chefs special is $20 more. We were very disappointed with this and they would not change it. Be careful when ordering. I love this wonderful Mexican gem of a restaurant. They have super clean dining, menus and restrooms, great service, and delicious food!! Did I say delicious? I mean so full of flavor. I bought the fajitas poblanos and they are probably hands down the best fajitas I have ever eaten. So yummy! Anyways my family also loved their food . I really have nothing to complain about here. The decor is awesome and entertaining. If I do have a complaint it would be that I don't really like so many TVs. There was about ten TV's no exaggeration. Most of them on different channels. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and I am so glad that our little area boasts of such a great establishment!! I can't recommend this too much. One more note: our server was great but we don't like being called honey or love so please let the servers know not to be so familiar with strangers it was a little awkward. The salsa and chips and bean soup was spectacular I love their salsa and they were generously supplied when asked. I even like the large napkin that comes with the silverware. 9/3/2023 Arrived at 11:45 am, seated promptly, Server took our drink order, then was gone for a bit. When she brought drinks she totally forgot one. Took our order, then we waited for over 40 minutes to get our food. She kept apologizing that kitchen was backed up, turns out she held our order. Beans were watery, chicken taquitos were burnt, over all a bad experience. Talk to the Manager Armando and he came off with an attitude. Server delivered the checks to the wrong people, sorted that out, didn't leave much of a tip. On the bright side, there were plenty of Chips and Salsa! This establishment is beautiful! Great decor and wonderful photo ops. So sad that they missed the mark when it came to food, flavor and service. I give it out 1 of 20 on this all around. I spent $80 for lunch and EVERYTHING was wrong! Messed up our drink orders repeatedly, messed up our add ons three times, waitress went home sick ( I totally understand) but another server was not assigned to us and the worst part? I tracked down some one to help us with our our order... he was happy, cordial and helpful. Yet he still fudged it up and.... He was the owner!!! Asked for hot sauce - never got any. Asked for UNSweetened Tea for my mother and I - got SWEET teas. Asked to have jalapeños added to my order - was none on my plate and when I asked the manager for some he asked, "pickled or fresh?" I answered fresh and after waiting he sent out pickled. Worst money I have ever spent and did I mention that the next day I arrived to work for 1.5 hours and then had to leave because I was throwing up???? My mother called and said she too had been sick this morning - Coincidence? I think not. Would not send my dying dog to this place. And I am a cat owner to the forth power. One man in particular made a demand of the manager to "find him a girlfriend, now. young, skinny, and who speaks English." while I understand boys club/code, rather than act as a manager and dismiss this request, I watched as one by one the manager proceeded to direct his young female employees to the table and entice them to "get to know Andy who has a lot of money." as former wait staff myself, you do what your manager tells you, but it is not okay to being soliciting young female employees to tables of men three times their age and put your females in unsafe positions. I watched this man grope these poor women standing uncomfortably at a table, doing as their manager Instructed with looks of terror on their faces. last I checked, being a waitress/server should not mean you get trafficked and your workplace should be one of safety. your manager should protect you not solicit you. I have no interest in giving my money to a place being run by men who think its acceptable to put his staff in danger instead of protect them and tell dirty old men to cut it out or get out. being a server is hard enough with inappropriate men, without your manager enabling it further.
