Definitely seems like a local favorite. Called ahead to save a table around dinner time and it was for sure a good idea as all other tables filled very quickly. No music but lively, friendly chatter all around. Fresh chips and salsa were brought to the table, and I thought it a nice touch that everyone got their own salsa to dip in. I ordered a mix of tacos and was very happy the restaurant accommodated this. The pastor was okay but the birria was way better than I expected. The hot sauce paired nicely but could've been spicier in my opinion. The rice and beans were so delicious that I swear I blinked and they were gone. Taqueria La Palma is the spot! Absolutely delicious "Mom and Pop" shop that serves authentic Mexican food. I always order the "Full Carne Asada Quesadilla Plate" with a large horchata. This restaurant has the best carne asada meat in town, hands down. The service here is friendly, the food is reasonably priced, and the ambiance is mellow. I wish I had known about this place sooner, but l'm glad I get to experience its wonders for my last few months here. Give them a try, you won't regret it! read more

My tamales were dry had no flavor the pupusas didnt come with any pickled cabbage also kinda flavorless the rice isn't too bad but could be better the beans dont taste like they put any seasoning i was really excited about the tamales until I tasted them now I really have to make my own because the masa was so dry and the chips nd salsa was okay the salsa could be more spicy nd less watery im praying my husband likes the barbacoa tacos bc this should've been better than expected given the reviews but im very disappointed will never spend my money here again read more

I've eaten Mexican food literally all over the US and throughout many states in Mexico and this place is absolutely the real deal. It's possible I've had better Mexican food but I can't remember when or where. No kidding, everything we had was simply outstanding. You could tell they used fresh ingredients, had a lifetime of kitchen experience, and most of all they really cared about their food and the customer satisfaction. Service was great, just the friendliest, sweetest people you will meet. If you like Mexican food, you will fall in love with Palma. read more

La Palma is located inside of a tiny strip mall area, in a not so great, pretty boring white building. The name of the restaurant doesn't really stand out from the road. Extremely easy to miss. I heard about the place from one of my friends from work, who is originally from Mexico. She told me that it is hands down the best Mexican food in the area. I went in and tried a Burro Nortena, delicious. I had some tamales, delicious. I have been back since about 6 or 7 times. The food is always good. Most recently the salsa was served warm, which I really liked. The inside of the restaurant has about 6 or 7 small tables. The place never seems busy, which you think it would be packed. But that makes the service great. Because you're one of the only people there. read more

Food was loaded with flavor... everything made in house. Chips hot from fryer. Chicken enchiladas with green sauce... corn tortillas with chopped grilled chicken in it. Spicy green sauce. Rice had carrots and peas... refried beans were cooked with bacon grease. There is no air conditioning in the place and the ceiling fans were not working. Uncomfortable eating in there. read more

This is a dive-y hole in the wall, but the Mexican food is the best Leesville has to offer. We walked in to an empty restaurant, the table was sticky, the booth wasn't secure to the ground, but the complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. Their queso is the best I've ever tasted; not fake at all, and has green chilis. I ordered the shrimp fajitas at the server's suggestion, and was blown away when he brought out the biggest sizzling shrimps I have ever seen. We were not disappointed and will definitely be back - however, I was bummed that they don't offer margaritas. read more

This review is based on my experience yesterday as a Dasher. Went in and spoke with the worker at the counter who acknowledged me a few minutes after tending to another customers order. I shown him my phone and he looked and said the order is not ready and seeing they where busy I waited patiently. Then about 10 minutes passed and a woman working there asked the name of my order then said it's not ready. I waited longer then the guy came up to me and asked the name on the order then told me "Oh that order has been picked up by another Dasher already. This really upset me. WHY TELL ME THEY ORDER ISN'T READY AND AFTER I PATIENTLY WAITED FOR IT TO BE PREPPED AND READY AFTER ASKING ME ABOUT IT MULTIPLE TIMES YOU TELL ME IT HAS BEEN PICKED UP?? Makes no sense! I get that the restaurants are busy dealing with multiple customers among other things but us as dashers understand and we are both on the clock and on a time frame. To straight lie like that and waste our time is ridiculous!! What's crazy is I love Mexican Food and thought of trying this place out. Maybe my next review will be better. DO BETTER! read more

This place may be a hole in the wall type of restaurant, but do not let that steer you away. This place has the best salsa I have had. Even the chips were fried to perfection. I got the steak enchiladas verde, and I was not disappointed. This reminded me of food back home, which I have not had in years. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to in my life. Everything (and I mean everything) was fresh. The chips, the tortillas, and even the shrimp. The service was also amazing, we didn't feel rushed to order, and our food was brought out and was cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is a little cold with the fans blowing on high, but that's to be expected when it's almost 100 degrees out, but everything about this place felt authentic, and I will definitely be coming again. read more
