However 2 days later a different nail came off from me barely bumping it on something, and I noticed because they were lifting, moisture got under my acrylic, and now I have ugly brown spots on 3 of my nails. I went home and soaked off all of my nails to make sure there were no other brown spots, and when soaking off the acrylic I noticed it was coming off super "gummy" which could mean they are using a type of acrylic that is damaging to nails, so I will not be going back.

The business is inside a larger office building without clear signage, and I had to pay for street parking -- which wasn't mentioned anywhere in advance. I called the office several times (at least five) trying to find the suite, but no one answered. When I finally found it and walked in, the provider (Sadie) had just returned my call, only to tell me her phone had been on silent. The massage itself had some positives: she asked about focus areas, gave me the full 90 minutes, and I did feel that she paid good attention to my concerns. I appreciated her patience with adjusting the table heat, as the room was pretty chilly. That said, a strong fan was blowing throughout the session, and even though I mentioned it was making me cold (especially with the massage oil), I was told it had to stay on because she was using hot stones. That part made the massage pretty uncomfortable for me. Other issues made the experience feel awkward and unprofessional: there was no music for the first half of the massage (just silence and the fan noise), and the overall interaction lacked warmth or customer service. I wasn't greeted with a "hello" or sent off with a "goodbye," and there was no offer of water or to use the restroom -- the little things that make a guest feel cared for. Overall, I wouldn't return -- partly because I'm not local (I'm from Des Moines and this was in Ames), but mostly because the whole experience felt disorganized and impersonal. Sadie did give a decent massage technically, but the professionalism, communication, and ambiance left a lot to be desired.

It's all choppy and completely uneven. She said I could go back in for them to fix it and that I would be with the same person. Absolutely not!
