Their meatball sub is a glorious mess of gooey cheese and generous marinara sauce! It's our perfect go-to snack whenever we catch a movie at Commerce Center. Unfolding it in my seat gives me joy from the trapped heat inside which makes the bread softer, sopping up all the tomato sauce and keeping the well-seasoned meatballs juicy inside. Onion rings are a nice add on to your meal, nice and crunchy fried at the right temperature. They're on the thicker side so it doesn't get to soggy in the inside.
Just so happens we had time to kill one afternoon and sat down at Elbert's to try other items on their menu, the house burger and chili dog which were forgettable. Both had huge buns encasing the meat. The chili on top probably came from a can and topped with about 5 1x1 cm squares of cheese... Lesson learned and sticking with the hits next time! read more
