I left almost 2 years ago due to the corruption, hypocrisy and lies promoted weekly by their leadership. The apostles of this group are concerned primarily with power and money. If you begin attending, be ready to be received with southern hospitality. Don't be deceived. This is only a front to attempt to set a hook and keep you long enough to begin their indoctrination. They don't care about people at their core. If you aren't a part of the inner clique with a last name that proves your worth, you will find that your value diminishes over time. Unless, of course, you buy into their preaching and donate your houses, lands, retirement funds and stimulus checks upon demand. Please beware of this dangerous place.

I've attended 3-4 times now and decided that maybe I'll attend the Lewisburg location in my search…read morefor a new home church. I don't find this location to be very friendly AT ALL. I would not say they're a welcoming congregation. To that point, they never have enough chairs set up. While I do understand that they have to set up and take down all the chairs every Sunday until their new location is finished, it seems ridiculous to not just set up a row or two more to assure that everyone has a seat when they arrive. My last issue is-and this is a matter of personal preference-that the music goes on way too long. My prior church capped the music part of the service 15-18 minutes. Twenty to twenty five minutes is too long for my taste. I'd prefer that the message be a little longer. But again, that's me and others may feel differently. I will check out COFL next weekend with an open heart and an open mind. Hopefully I have a better experience.

I personally struggled to find deep, authentic community here and felt that the social environment could be quite cliquey. Additionally, I personally felt the Sunday teachings leaned toward half-truths rather than the deep, fully transparent biblical messages my soul was looking for. The minute we walked in we were greeted by Pastor Adam and he started telling us all about their youth ministry before I even shared anything with him. I immediately knew this was Devine intervention! Soon after this my kids attended a youth night service and LOVED IT. We all met at Taco Bell afterwards where I was introduced to Pastor Adayja. I won't go into too much detail, but yet again Devine intervention Over the summer the kids attended Wake Summer Camp. I also served as a leader. This camp was OUTSTANDING! The spirit of God was so noticeably present. I also came to get to know Pastors Jeff and Jess. They have such a heart for God. Being someone who comes from a rocky past and who spent the beginning of my relationship with God attending churches online, I was so fearful when looking for a church that I would have to hide my past and my struggles. Everyone here has allowed me and my kids to be our true authentic selves without fear of judgement. So many of the staff and people we have met here are such a huge part of our lives and support system. These people really show up for you in day to day life. Not just on Sundays. My relationship with God has grown so much here! Every service from the worship to the message is simply amazing. Pastor Jeff preaches wisely, in a fun way that gives life. He makes it so easy to relate the message to every day life. Forever grateful we found Elevate. We love our church!
