She is knowledgeable, informative, and does her best to make you experience a pleasant one because,.....who likes going to the dentist?! Right?! The Worst! Dentists ever!! I went to them for a few years and every time I went they informed me I needed a root canal. Turns out, the root canals they gave me were awful as well at the crowns I received. I am at a new dentist now and getting all three crowns redone and removed as well as for one tooth the root canal was not complete. Because the crowns were so awful, I ended up getting decay and now that needs to be treated. I was informed the last time I was at Eldridge that I need to have another root canal on another tooth. My current dentist does not see the need for a root canal. He says my teeth are really healthy. What bothers me the worst is that I didn't have dental insurance and had to pay for all the treatment out of my pocket. Now I have to pay more money to repair the damaged Eldridge created. Besides the poor quality of dental care, the staff aren't very polite. The doctor doesn't explain what is happening and the equipment isn't very state of the art. Avoid Eldridge if you can! read more

Zero stars if I could.... this has to be the worst dentist I have ever been to. I came here after looking for a dentist close to where I live and I came across Eldridge Dental, big mistake. On top of the fact that the receptionist didn't find my appointment, she was very rude and I almost left (I should have). Then another one came and asked me if I had made my appointment online which I did and then they found my name on the computer. When I went in to see the "dentist" he pressed on my teeth with that metal tool and asked me if I had paid which I didnt and said no, he told me to make an appointment for a cleaning and was very fast to dismiss me. They didn't even bother to take any ex-rays. I have never been to any dentist who didn't take any ex-rays. I was disgusted, then I had to wait like 3 weeks to make an appointment for a cleaning, I did't even bother. I think this place should be shut down I wouldn't be surprised if these people weren't really dentists. read more

The staff was friendly when I spoke with them but the doctor was very rude. He wouldn't answer my questions unless I asked 3 times. I told him about the issues I was having and all he addressed was one of them. I will not be going back. read more

Only been there for three visits, no fillings yet, referrals. Have seen Dr. Shapiro, who seems very hospitable and that's who I always schedule with. Yes, it is primarily a Russian staffed office, yes, the front desk personnel and the dentist and Technician speak amongst themselves in Russian. Yes, I find it rude sometimes, but they are probably more comfortable speaking their native language OR they don't want me to know what their talking about (lol). read more

This is a horrible dentist. I was looking for something close to home when I found Eldridge and I tried it out. I felt something off about my tooth so I went in and told them I think I had a cavity. They told me everything was fine. Fast forward to a year later when my tooth felt worse, they told me I needed a root canal! How do you miss a deteriorating tooth?? On top of that the receptionists are SO rude. They forgot to send in my referral when I was in excruciating pain which prolonged the whole process and I had to call them and my insurance back and forth because they hadn't sent anything in. I even had to go in twice just to clear things up because they told me one thing at the office but then when I called they said I didn't know what I was talking about. It has now been 6 months since my appointment with them and I am still without a root canal because of their carelessness. STAY OUT OF THIS PLACE! read more

This is basically a copy of a letter that I wrote to the medical board that resulted in Dr. Blechman being fined and put on probation. I went to a scheduled appointment at Eldridge dental care which is located on 1432 Forest Avenue. This was the first time that I had visited a dentist in 6 years. When I was led to the examination room, the hygienist asked me if I had been experiencing any pain or discomfort. When I told her that I had not, she left the room and I waited for several minutes. Dr. Blechman came in and introduced himself. He turned on the examination light and instructed me to open my mouth. He used a long tool with a mirror to look at my teeth and gums for approximately 30 seconds. He then left the room after telling me that the hygienist would be coming in to clean my teeth. The hygienist came in and informed me that she was going to polish my teeth. For the next 3 minutes, she brushed my teeth with an instrument that felt very similar to an ordinary electric toothbrush. After she finished, she removed my smock and told me that we were finished. I asked her how we could be finished because X-rays were not taken. She told me that if I had any questions I should speak with the dentist. The dentist happened to be standing in the lobby and when I asked him why I was not given X-rays he said that X-rays were only given if there was some sort of problem. I would like to make it clear that at no time did either the dentist or the hygienist scrape my teeth or gums, nor did they attempt to probe my teeth for cavities. Approximately 2 weeks later, I visited a different dentist and paid out of pocket. After a very thorough cleaning and X-rays, I was informed that my gums were severely inflamed and that I had 2 cavities, one of which was very large. If I had not gone to a second dentist whom I knew to be competent, my two cavities would have gone untreated. This undoubtedly would have caused me severe problems in the future. Secondly, it is my belief that the treatment I received was only due to the fact that I was a Medicaid patient. I have no doubt that Dr. Blechman did this countless times a day and made a bundle of cash in the process. read more

Was in town visiting friends for a week and I had a problem and they told me to try here, they were reasonable. Mistake. Pay attention to all of the reviews and avoid. Staff all unbeleivably rude and unfriendly and they think they can talk to people however they want. Someone had the nerve to hang up on me. The worst cleaning I ever had. The hygenist, rude and unfriendly, had me in and out of chair in under ten minutes. It's a dental factory. read more
