Neil's Barbershop is my go to place when I need to trim my mohawk pretty much every other month…read more Now, I've never had a cit from Neil himself, but I've been going for the past year and always go on Saturdays when they have some other barbers in there. I've kept going with one woman who only works on Saturdays as she works for another organization during the week. She's been very fun to talk to and is great with the trimmers, giving me some great lines on my sides and neck with a straight razor neck cleanup and trims the beard up to keep it all even. She never questions what I request as "odd" just because it's out of the norm when it comes to hairstyles, but let's be honest, when you have a mohawk, there's never gonna be a "normal" cut. They have parking in the back of their building, but it can get busy quickly, so no guarantee. Metered street parking is available but would be free if you were parking on Sundays. It's also not a far walk from the library if you're looking for free parking every time you go and Main Street Moorestown is a nice little walk through so I would certainly recommend taking the walk. Cash or credit cards accepted.

That should've been my cue to leave. My hair was cut all uneven and I was charged $20 for a $8 cut. Looked like Stevie Wonder on meth cut my hair. Place is probably good for kids and older clientele. But don't expect much.

Never ever again. So I didn't know anyone who can start my dreads and came upon this place on Yelp…read moreas well as several others. I was contacted fast by this location and we set up a meeting and etc. I informed him that I am hard of hearing. He ensured me that all his clients are treated the same and I was in good hands with him, I believe he's the owner. I wanted the girl who was getting a lot of clients but I'll have to wait 2 months for her so I went with him. When I got there it looked beautiful. All these people getting gorgeous dreads and it was black owned, which I love. He was nice at first and asked what I want. But that did not last. Let make this short. He burned me with hot water twice, was jerking my hair and I told him like 2 times it hurted. The dryer was so hot I told him like twice it burning me. People kept looking at me while he was doing my hair as if they was talking about me ( he know I'm hard of hearing) which wasn't cool. I was in there for 4 hours and my head hurted so bad. My babysitter was like what took so long. I basically wasted like 200 dollars . I hate going to the salons cause something always go wrong. But this was the worst experience I ever had and it really traumatized me that I will NEVER EVER GO TO A SALON AGAIN. I am writing this because I don't want anyone to go through what I went through. If you are different than others don't go here. I started my dreads on my own . The one he did looked like shit . He clearly didn't know what to do with my natural hair type . He even kept asking me if I had a perm. My hair worked better with gel. I wax. I have soft curls. My dreads look really nice due to ME. I did like 3 attempts before I got the look that I wanted which is free. If you want to start dreads. Please take my advise. Do it yourself.
