Very friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable too. We had a few meetings to discuss what songs to play, and when to play them. Very detailed. Communication was good as well. Everyone loved the music and the photo booth went over great. Overall, we had a great time. The only issue was when the wedding party was being introduced. Somehow they were skipped and jumped directly to us (bride groom). It threw us off a bit, but we made it work. I was about a month shy away from my wedding, and was in dire need of a strong DJ. The size of my wedding would have required someone who was organized, punctual, and adaptable to rapid changes. I landed on Mike's page while reading reviews on Yelp, and I can honestly say that I got really lucky. Our initial phone call was of a typical consultation where Mike described his services and pricing. After exchanging ideas and an in-person meeting, we decided that we would hire Mike as our DJ and wedding moderator. We were easily able to schedule another meeting the following week. Meeting #2: Originally we had planned to meet Mike at the same location, but being the flexible guy he is, he was able to change our meeting location 45 minutes prior to our agreed meeting time. Booking Mike was one of the best investments and decisions we've made while planning our wedding. My wedding took place last weekend at Casa Real and DJ MB totally delivered! First off let me just say that I booked Mike for DJ services but for also up lighting at our venue. The music was great; he had all my guests dancing on their toes all night long. The music selection was great, a little bit of everything for everyone. The LED up lighting was a wonderful touch. I will add photos for your reference--although If you ask Mike he has a great portfolio of his work. Mike went over and beyond for us when he didn't have to. For example, after reading my vendor policies carefully, I realized that Casa Real allows vendors to access their venue 2 hours prior to any event and give them only 1 hour after the event to pack up and leave. Any extra hours needed, such as accessing the venue a little bit earlier will have to be charged as overtime to the couple. When I told Mike of this dilemma, he told me that he can get extra help by bringing in an assistant. He didn't want me to get charged for the extra time, and he didn't charge me extra for the assistant. I thought that was extremely nice of him. Another example of how Mike went over and beyond for us, was when I asked if he was familiar with Casa Real outside courtyard where my ceremony will take place. He said that he's not familiar but suggested that since the venue isn't too far from his home, he will make an appointment with them and take a tour of the facility to have a better understanding of its layout and where the electrical socket were. I was very impressed by this gesture. On the wedding day everything ran so smoothly. Not once did we have any audio or technical difficulties. Mike also called me a week before my wedding and talk to me on the phone. We ran through everything, and made sure he has he correct music downloaded for my ceremony, first dance, father daughter dance, etc.. He even went through the extent of playing the music back to me -so that we're both sure that he has the correct version downloaded. I remembering hanging up the phone feeling assured and having a peace of mind that he's on top of his game... and trust me that feeling is a great feeling to have one week before your wedding. BOOK THIS MAN NOW! I always say, "Thank-you Yelp!" when I discover a good find. But really, yelped helped me find Mike as a DJ and that was one of the best decisions my husband and I made by booking him. Looking at reviews on Yelp, Mike is highly rated. He was the first DJ we met. After meeting with him, we were super impressed by his portfolio and organization and felt extremely confident we had one of the best DJ services in the bay area. Mike was very accommodating to my wife and I's work schedule's meeting us wherever and whenever we needed, even if it was last minute or if we had to reschedule. He always asked the write questions to make sure we were on the rite track in terms of wedding timeline and was very instrumental in our decisions. His experience shows. Wedding Day: Our ceremony and reception were all at the Rengstorff house. We got the full package with Mike + the photo booth. From what we remember of the ceremony, Mike had these discreet, tall, wireless speakers setup on each side for the music/speaking. They looked really nice with the ceremony setup. As far as wedding ceremony sound went, everything was perfect with our wireless mic's he gave us and the officiant's mic. For the cocktail hour and reception, Mike was flawless. Starting with the cocktail hour, Mike smoothly transitioned everyone from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. Music was great and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves while we were taking pics. One thing we won't forget was when my wife was dehydrated and stressed during the photo shoot, Mike shows up out of no where and offer's her a drink with some appetizers. The best part of the night was the reception and dancing. To this day my family/friends still tell us how much fun they had and that it was one of the best weddings they've been to.
