And he sure did. Don came right after a major snowstorm and I had not yet plowed a path to the side of the house where the wood was to be stacked. Don just pulled out his shovel and cleared the way for himself. He stacks the wood carefully, making it easy to pull off the pile. And the wood is the best-burning wood I've ever had. Thanks, Don! Chris was the only person who looked at it who was able to figure out how the water damage was actually happening. Even the insurance adjuster missed it! I also appreciate that Chris and his team worked to save me money, e.g. keeping the original bathroom vanity when we determined it was still usable. This was an unplanned expense, so the ability to work with GreenSky was a big plus, too. The vinyl plank floor looks and feels great; now I wish I could have it in my kitchen and entry, too. Next time, when I hope I have a planned remodel, I will be calling Van Vleet Construction.

Chris spent almost 2 hours going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. Chris made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects.

Brian was all booked because, well, if you saw the pictures of his work, you'd know why. But Brian took pity on me because of my situation and came out the SAME DAY! Unfortunately, and I feel horrible about this, I found someone who could do the project the next day but couldn't get back to him before he actually came out to the house. I profusely apologized and offered to pay him for coming out and he wouldn't hear of it because "That's not how he does business." Instead of being upset for the wasted trip (which I would totally understand!), he was just happy I was able to get the job done so quickly. Wow! This kind of neighborly service in a business is SO APPRECIATED! I love Brian and am just so sorry we are moving so I can't give him my business!
