Absolutely poor value for the price. $129 for an hour. Not exactly a relaxing and tranquil environment either in this strip mall. I booked a session here on a whim and I would not return. My massage therapist was nice enough. The massage itself was okay. But oh! The 1 hour massage you booked? Yeah, it's actually 50 mins apparently? No explanation there. No idea why they advertise 1 hour but then only massage you for 50. Unfortunately there are very few places around here in which you can find last minute availability. Re front desk help Eden went WAY above and beyond what anyone else has ever done for me, in the massage community....with a smile. I have rods and a disease in my back. in addition to that, I threw my back out five days ago, for the first time. After three days, I am finally somewhat able to walk. Over the years, I have gotten a lot and I mean a lot of massages. I am no longer have a membership at Elements, due to moving and not having a location nearby. I currently go to a private therapist but also still go to random elements when I have flare ups...like today. Envy....no way! Regardless of my pain, I won't step foot in a massage Envy. Well, other than for 1 therapist named Josh. Back when I was a member of Elements in Burlington, they were running a promotion for gift cards. I purchased a few and never used them. Today I went to Cash one in at the Nashua location and was told by Eden that she would have to call Burlington. I hate being that type of customer... you know, the pain in the ass customer. But, knowing I was going to need a couple massages over the next two weeks, I did not stop her. Eden (from Nashua), was able to work it out with Burlington by teaching her step by step how to process the payment. Some may think that's not a big deal but let me tell you, it is. By her taking the time to do that, she saved me $80 which is the price of another massage, that I would not have been able to get. I have been to six elements locations and I would say four Massage Envy's Plus many other massage studios, over the years. Never once has anyone taken the time to do something that nice. This was my first time ever meeting Eden. She had no idea who I was or that I have rods in my back and needed another massage this week. I commented to the other person at the front desk (maybe Chris? He had yellow glasses on. Nice guy) about Eden being so nice and he said pretty much that, that's how they are trained. The owners of that particular franchise are great to them and the customers. He said he has only been there a few months but that is very common. They always go above and beyond for the customers. I should also add, I had Zach as a therapist. Says level four for him, I would say more of a level three. Very professional, very nice and most importantly, he gave me a great massage. I was able to stand all the way up as I walked out of there. In the past, I have had Dan, who is also fabulous. I keep a list of all my favorite therapists at each location. And let me tell you... Okay, so let me start: I love a good massage. I will also tell you if the massage was garbage. Joe: amazing for stretching the hip flexors and QL muscles. Great pressure for deep tissue Winona: this woman is a miracle worker for tension in the glutes and pain in the lower back. She has great pressure but don't let that confuse you: you will feel it for days after she finishes with you. Haley was amazing and recommended Winona to me The ugly: the front desk staff is learning but that learning causes a lot of confusion and delays. I am patient with them because I know the massage therapists are at their mercy to get us in and out of that building in a timely manner. Update: Aug 2020 Ive reached out to the studio daily for 3 weeks attempting to get scheduled for one of the nearly 10 massage credits I have because they charged me during quarantine. It always goes to voicemail. Great massage therapist. Terrible policies. Do not sign up for a membership. They wanted to charge me an extra 20 for being late (got stuck at work). Would not allow me to cancel without coming in person (nothing in the contract states that you need to cancel in person). They are charging me for two more months because the contract says 30 days. I had an exposure. They took advantage. Also, it wouldn't hurt if the place was neater/cleaner and the front desk staff dressed somewhat professionally. read more

I would first like to say that the rating on this review is for my experience with the front desk people NOT my therapist because I feel like she has nothing to do with the unpleasant situation I had to go through after my glorious massage. Darlene deserves a 5 star rating, she did a fantastic job during my prenatal massage. She was very friendly and sweet from the start. I was 37 weeks, very tired and achy so I was really looking forward to being pampered. My body and mind felt amazing after the 60 minute massage she gave me. I felt so rested and relaxed... I super recommend her. I believe she also does regular massages as well. Her touch was gentle, yet firm. Pressure was just right, but she still asked and cared to know if it was the right amount for me. I'd deff want her massage again! She's a true professional. Now about my unpleasant situation. After receiving the best massage I've ever got, I went to the front desk to check out. My massage was pre-paid by my husband who was told didn't need to buy a gift card in order to give me a pre natal massage as a gift. The young lady seemed to be confused that he had paid for it in advance and wanted to make me pay for it again. After finding out that he had really payed for it she then told me I had to pay an additional $10, which made no sense whatsoever. I refused to do so since my husband had already payed for the prenatal massage. But she insisted and I had to pay anyways. That absolutely ruined my whole amazing experience I had just a few minutes before that. It was an awful situation to be in when you're accused of trying to get a massage for cheaper than advertised prices. After hearing her many times that my husband had made a mistake a bought just regular massage I went home to look for proof of payment. After finding the proof on our bank statement I called them to ask for my refund. The lady said they had changed prices after my husband bought the massage and that I had no right for a refund. I honestly think they should honor the price he originally bought it for so she said she'd let the manager know and they would give me a call the next day. Well it's been over a month and I heard nothing from them. Very sad, it's the second spa that I have a bad experience with. I'm gonna keep looking... this was my first and last time there. Beware of bowing to the pressure to sign a contract at this business! I emailed them to cancel my contract, but neglected to return a form they included at the bottom of a lengthy e-mailed response to me. They continued to bill me for 8 months, and, for reasons I won't go into here, I didn't realize it. When they finally contacted me (my credit card had expired) they refused to give me a full refund. Also, the contract seems to promise a good price for the monthly massage. However, the front desk never fails to inquire about whether you've tipped the massage therapist! I find that rude. There's a "suggested" amount, based on the length of the massage, and it's way more than the customary 20 percent of the cost. They obviously don't pay their therapists well, and are depending on customers to make up the difference. Another issue I had with this place is that, unlike Massage Envy, you can only use your membership at the location where you signed up. Quite limiting if you travel at all. read more

I have been in the customer service industry for over 25 years and this is one of the worst companies, especially a small local company, I have been dealing with. My fiance signed up for one of their package deals and two Saturdays ago she had an appointment at 12:30PM, unfortunately she went to the doctors early that morning and had bronchitis. So needless to say she was not making this massage appointment. I called at 915AM to cancel for her and the girl I spoke to said she was going to be charged $29 for canceling within 6 hours. Really? Who was I supposed to cancel within 6 hours if your business does not open until 9AM, 3.5 hours before her appointment I asked the girl for a manager and one was not available, I gave her my cell phone number and she said she would be on Tuesday. Sure enough no call. I called on Wednesday, again the manager was not available and left a message with my cell phone again...to this day..no call back. Very poor service and practice. read more

I went here for the first time today, because of an awesome special on their website ($49 for a 55 minute massage!) and I'm so glad I did. I've always held my stress in my upper back and neck, and lately it had been getting a lot worse. I called last minute and they were able to get me in last minute with Leah (who was awesome!). Usually pressure is an issue for me, but Leah had the perfect amount, and made sure to ask how the pressure was enough so that if I had felt uncomfortable I'd have been able to say something, but not so much to disrupt the massage. She worked on my knots, and showed me some stretches to try after. They even give you a bottle of water and little York Peppermint Patty after! Very, very disappointed. Was on the monthly program, then work for me became very busy and I was having a hard time finding tme for a massage. Since I am a business owner, time can be very unpredictable. After 9 months, of not getting into use my credit building up, (9 x 59 per month), I decided to stop the monthly program. I was told all credits would expire in 9 months. That was a few months ago. Now I am told it all expires in June. I called to book a 90 minute massage and add on himalayan salt to use up some of my credit. NOW I am told that my credit can only be used for hour massages, it can not go towards a half hour more or to add on himalayan salt. Very poor excuse. I was told I could use my credit for the one hour massage but would need to PAY $30 EXTRA for the himalayan salt, ecen though I have something like $531 in credit!!! Money is money, just deduct from the total credit. Asked if I could speak to a manager, this was Sunday, so I understand that maybe no manager there today, but I was told sorry, manager not in until Tuesday. Personally, my credit should not expire and my total credit should be used for anything, especially if it is going to expire. I am VERY disappointed. read more

I did not feel better after my appointment and I feel worse today. I had been to a different elements before and had very positive experiences. I'm in pain where every moment sitting or standing or lying down I have pain. I now have pain in places that did not hurt before the massage. I feel like the massage person was more proud of how deep they could go than they were focused on helping me get through the long weekend with a little relief. It was not a good fit for me. I had been to their competitor and was not convinced that it was at a location where I would return as it was on the other end of town. The massage therapist I had was underwhelming as well. Elements is near stores I frequent on a regular basis - Target, Petsmart, CVS, etc. I was able to make a same-day appointment, as they have about a dozen massage therapists on staff, allowing for several slots each hour. I had a bad migraine and needed some non-pharmaceutical relief. In addition, I have two other chronic illnesses which cause muscle pain and cramping. They set me up with Daniel. He was very good, and concentrated on all the trouble areas as well as doing some all-over work. He was easy to communicate with and listened to my needs, adapting as we went. I did, however, make one mistake, allowing him to apply Biofreeze, that, I discovered, has a fragrance, which is a migraine trigger for me. So I know better next time to skip it. Their rooms and massage lotion is unscented though, so safe for me. Massage is a way I have found to decrease the frequency and intensity of migraines, without more meds, so I did sign up for the wellness program. As with any contract, make sure you ask questions and read the contract before you sign. read more

Don't mean to be hasty, but I just left this facility, 5 minutes ago. I walked in and stopped at the front counter, a young lady sitting at a computer said I will let (name unknown) your here. I thought this meant the receptionist. 15 minutes later and watching the young lady assist people, get up and down, and answer the phone, I asked if it was always like this. She asked if I had an appointment, I said no it is the first time I come in. She wanted to look up my name on the computer and kept asking my name to which I responded this is my first time here. After 5 or 6 times of her asking, I gave her first name and she concluded I didn't have an mappointment. So I have been waiting for someone that has no reason to come out and greet me, and now I find I don't have an appointment, having never made one. I would have thought she would ask what info she could give me, but she asked if I ever have been here. To which you all know what I said... I just told you 5 or 6 times I have never been here before. Finally she answers with we don't have any openings right now. To which I said never mind I am all set. The only reason I give a 2 star, is because it seemed the customers that this young lady talked to were decent people and smiling. read more

This place is GREAT! I have tried different massage therapists for years and the therapists here are by far the best I have found anywhere at a fraction of the cost of other spas . Don't let the price fool you. At elements, you get much more than you pay for. I joined because $59 dollars a month is a great deal, but I am amazed at the quality of my massage each time I go. I have tried several different therapists because I often book appointments last minute so I take whoever is available. Its amazing, but I have never been disappointed by anyone. Each massage seems to be better than the last. Recently I booked with Donald and he did an incredible job. He was not only extremely knowledgable, but also very professional and personable. I hate giving bad reviews but sometimes it's just necessary. I used to go to a different location when I worked closer to the other one and I had an amazing experience. The other day was my first time at the Nashua location and had Don as my massage therapist. He told me he is also a manager there as well. Well, I was pretty unimpressed with his massage unfortunately. Again, I hate giving bad reviews, especially for specific people, but I've had MANY massages in my life and this one may have been the worst. Nothing about the massage was symmetrical. Everything he did was all over the place and he jumped randomly from one area to another. He completely forgot to massage one of my hands and never massaged my feet at all. And I have cute pedicured feet! haha So it's not like there was an issue with that lol. Every single full body massage I've ever gotten included a food massage. Maybe I'll return some day but I certainly would make sure I went to a different therapist. Just a little disappointed to have my first experience with them be so bad. read more
