We were on our way down…read moreto Highclere Castle in Newbury and this was one of the food establishments that came up on both Yelp and Google. The reviews appeared to be good on both but sometimes you just never know with reviews. However, this time I'm happy to report that both sites were correct. Bill's was absolutely busy when we stepped in for a late breakfast/early lunch timeframe. We were greeted promptly and sat at a table for two. To our delight, we were able to order from both the breakfast or lunch menus, so that is what we did. My husband got the full breakfast and I got chicken entree with vegetables. Service was attentive and prompt. It shows that they are a good chain restaurant because of the care and organization that is evident in how they run their establishment. Decor is comfortable and interesting and I was glad to see servers working hard - not just standing around. While we don't come down this way to Newbury often, if we ever do again (and we may to go to Winchester Cathedral) we'll probably make Bill's our stop and go to for good food. A paid car park is around the block and close by so no worries on parking either!
