Elevate helped save my son's life! One year ago, I was on a desperate search for a place that would help my son quit drinking. I went online and was so overwhelmed with all the choices! I called a couple places and was not impressed with what they offered. I prayed to God He would lead me to the right place, and He did! The 3rd place I called, this nice guy named Josh answered, and right away, we connected. I asked questions, he asked questions. What I loved about what he said, was that they did not rely on prescribing a bunch of meds to "fix" my son, but offered an in depth program that included exercise as part of the journey to recovery, and to ultimately learn to not rely on anything to self medicate ever again. Ding! I knew he would love something like this, and the more Josh talked, the more I wanted to get my son on a plane! Of course, the final decision was up to him, and at that point, he was ready for a major change, and trusted my judgement. Thank God! Within days, my son was up north and that was the beginning of his new life because today marks his ONE YEAR from not having a drop of alcohol! In fact, he liked Elevate so much, he stayed up there, trained heavily for 3 months, and is now an employee who helps counsel new clients. He earned Employee of the Month last month and I couldn't be more proud of the hard work he did and does for himself. I can't thank Elevate enough for the part they played in his recovery. I have a loved one who recently completed their treatment program here. The entire process (from detox at another location to graduation at this location) was filled with a ton of professionalism and yet, the staff I met were very down to earth and super approachable. The staff and counselors at this facility were incredibly kind and compassionate to my loved one who was struggling with a ton of issues while in treatment. This program is a non-12-step model. They are centered around the practice of mindfulness and when I came to visit, I was able to check out the program materials... and it was refreshing. As someone with over 2 decades of successful recovery in AA/NA, I found this program's model very modern and extremely applicable in real life. I personally will be using some of the teachings to better my own life. Based on what I was told, the consensus is that there should be more focus on nutrition both academically (such as a class or course?) and with regard to what was being cooked. It's difficult to decide how many stars to click, as I was not the one in treatment. But, all things considered, I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for a treatment program. read more

My family member attended Elevate SLT & I can't say enough good things about this program. After several other unsuccessful rehabs, we finally found Elevate and it was the best thing that ever happened to our family. The staff here are incredible, they actually care about the clients, address any concerns or questions, individualize treatment based on the underlying issues of their addiction, and have a solid program that is so far above and beyond anything he's ever experienced before. They also emphasize a therapy based approach, mindfulness, yoga, exercise, healthy eating, etc. Elevate even provides families with daily updates (Laura Garrison is amazing!) and they are available to answer any questions and offer support. Elevate also offers an extended 90 day program for those that need more than a typical 30 day stay. The food here is outstanding and has been compared to a 5 star restaurant. I wish more people knew about Elevate, because it is absolutely life changing. read more

My Son started this program, after detox in another facility, in May. I am in awe with his progress. This facility has them dig deep down inside to the root of the cause for addiction. He even made the decision to be taken off of suboxone with the staff assistance. His whole thought process has taken a 180 turn. They asses all aspects of life, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. The engaging curriculum is top notch. The beautiful surroundings of the facility are just breathtaking. The Staff there TRULY care about their clients. Not only are you learning life skills you get to have some fun too! Hiking, swimming and their love of sports. My Son graduated on July 4th. The perfect day to start a new life of sobriety. My Son has even decided to train as a staff member. He has met his extended family! I have never been so proud. I am a recent graduate of the Elevate program. I was at the Tahoe facility for almost 70 days, and I wouldn't change anything from my experience. I learned so much about myself, and why I reached for substances for a solution. The staff here is incredible, and go above and beyond to not only help you, but make you feel safe and welcomed. Being here I never felt alone or ashamed. The type of care was welcoming, loving and very hands on. The facilitators, Katie and Justin really care, and want to help you discover what your addiction really is about. The whole staff wants to help, and thats very comforting. The food was incredible. I can't thank the Elevate staff enough for all they've done for my son. His detox was closely monitored and took longer than expected. Adjustments to the detox process and recovery process were made at my son's request and based on ongoing discussions with my son. They listened to his concerns and accommodated his individual needs throughout the process. The program provides a strong support system with focus on mental health, physical activity, nutrition, and stress management. The staff was truly genuine, compassionate, and extremely professional.
