Where do i begin? From the lack of general contractor oversight, the hiring of amateur 'handymen' which equated to continued quality issues that were not resolved and theft summarizes the 1 star rating for our small remodeling job. Original scope of work included repaint entire house, and update 2 bathrooms (replacing tile, cabinets, toilets and light fixtures). What went wrong? The below is just a snippet, there are really too many to document: 1. Lack of general oversight: from the beginning, there were gaps in communication, not following through with requested information (e.g. itemized scope of work for materials and labor), project start dates came and went with no contact and no show. Brian had no oversight of the crew hired, never came by to check progress or review quality. The lack of coordination of the 2 crews led to rework 2. Job site cleanliness and safety: crew would leave tools and debris scattered around our house at the end of the day. We would come home to gas station cups in our bedroom, bathroom, nails on the floor, an open ladder in the middle of our bedroom and an open box cutter in the middle of the doorway...just to name a few. 3. Workmanship quality: handymen who were not concerned with ensuring things were done properly. A lot of rework and when brought to Brian's attention - the item would get resolved, but then something else the next day would be done incorrectly. Examples: towel bars hung loose, cabinets installed but doors were crooked; shower heads installed but leaked, doorknobs installed but lock was on the wrong side. Tile cut too short and 1" gap from tile to carpet. After demo, painters didn't patch, sand or repair walls - just primed and painted over damage, glue from mirror, texture inconsistencies, etc. Light fixtures installed but hummed. Vanity installed, but didn't patch the hole around plumbing 4. Stolen unopened boxes of tile: Crew took our unopened boxes of tile. When brought to Brian's attention, he said it was a mistake and they thought that Brian had purchased them and he would return them. Regardless of what they thought - any material purchased would be included in my project cost. We have yet to see the tiles returned Due to the challenges listed above and other issues discussed with Brian - we decided not to allow Go Green Remodeling to finish the remaining items. While Brian offered to resolve the issues, we no longer had confidence in the ability of this company to provide quality work and are now forced to pay someone else to correct the work done by his crew. *UPDATE* I will only respond to the owner's reply once. 1. A cheap budget: $25k for the light refresh being done to the home was not cheap. However, whatever the budget (as a reputable company should work with all budgets) should not distract from quality work. 2. For us not being home: lack of communication. No consistency in when crew would come, 8am, 10am, 2pm, not show up on days. 3. Cheap materials: Regardless of what you deem as "cheap" your crew did not do quality work. A towel bar should be installed properly and secure. Door knobs should be installed where the lock is on the right side of the door; tile should be measured and cut appropriately; holes in the wall around plumbing should be patched; doors that are painted should be painted on both sides of the door, not just one. This has nothing to do with materials, and everything to do with incompetence by your crew and lack of oversight by you. 4. For your discounted project: the invoice included items not completed (e.g. charged for installing new baseboards when you reused existing. Or charged for installing exhaust fans when this wasnt done at all); material cost for items that we had purchased - so yes, adjustments were required and you didn't do it willingly or as a courtesy. The video posted is just one of many recorded over the course of this ordeal but represents what they considered as "done". This is one week later, after Brian had claimed crew had completed all work and remediated our concerns. We used Brian Creem at Go Green Remodeling & Roofing for a Master Bath remodel, a full upstairs bath refresh, and flooring. The Master Bath remodel was fantastic and done within our budget. This included relocation of bath tub and shower plumbing. We ended up with a huge glass walk in shower and a rain fall feature. A very nice tub/faucet combination and a beautiful tile/plank floor. The upstairs bath refresh Brian did on a smaller budget, but the result was fantastic as well. Brian stays involved throughout the process and would show up at our house often the check on the progress and to make sure we were happy. I couldn't recommend him more highly. I worked with Brian and team on a few different projects. Kitchen remodel, stair case remodel, upstairs flooring replacement. All done extremely well, we absolutely love the way everything was done and the end results. He made recommendations for us on some small changes that we could make, like moving switches and outlets, in the kitchen, to make the new countertops and backsplash seamless! Don't risk it. Hired Brian to do a very small amount of lighting and wiring install. The entire job should have taken about half a day. The "electrician" he sent ended up being unlicensed, did the work wrong, completely out of code and actually dangerous. It wasn't until I reached out to the TDLR that I found out how bad it was. Worst part: I had an actual master electrician take a look. Found out if he had done the work, it would have required only one small patch job, and would have been cheaper than I paid Brian and his guy to do it. Brian's guy cut six holes and Brian never came to patch them up. The last time we spoke on the phone with Brian, he was literally yelling at me that it was my wife's fault all this happened because she didn't ask his electrician enough questions about the work. We asked Brian to put together a plan in a contract to repair the damage done by his man. He refused. It has been four months, there are giant holes in my ceiling and unsafe wire hanging, and Go Green refuses to accept responsibility. Awful, Fraud, harassing .. DO NOT USE! Please believe the bad reviews. Brian has a history of doing this through DFW. Look up the public court records and do your research if you're considering Brian Creem / GO Green Remodeling for any work!! This was by far the worst decision we made when we chose to work with Brian and Go Green! He falsely represented himself and his company, didnt pull permits, didnt provide a contract, didn't give estimates or costs prior to starting the work, didn't keep deadlines and lied throughout the entire process on top of verbal assaulting us and continued harassment! He never shows up when during the times he accredited, never sent us info we requested he said he would send us. Never followed through on anything. I believe Brian knowingly lied to us to gain our business because of the large cost associated with the damage. He advertised he was licensed and that he pulled necessary permits prior to beginning work. Fraudulent charges. No PERMITS WERE PULLED for the work done on our home which included serious plumbing, electricical, and structural change work. The state licensing board stated the company was not properly licensed at the time the work was done in our home. Our home flooded in Dec of 2022 and destroyed our entire first floor and stairs resulting in over $50,000 worth of damage. We chose Brian because he was in the neighborhood , had good recommendations in our neighborhood and stayed to be licensed in all areas needed. Brian constantly no showed at times he said he would be there, he was barely around to oversee the work as we checked in frequently. Several times we came in and our home had been converted into a workshop to complete work for his other projects ( barn doors staining, cabinet painting , etc) he was doing work from other homes out of our house which would severely delay our home. We paid for supplies and materials (front door etc) in February/ march and in May Brian was stating the materials were on "back order" but the suppliers stated that they never received an order from Brian or Go Green and that the specific item hadn't been ordered by any company. We walked into two of their "electricians" watching YouTube videos while trying to fix the wiring which we got a picture of. We ended up having to move back in before the work was finished. Brian kept demanding more money before hardly any of the work was done. We told him we needed to hire other contractors and have our attorney review before we continued any work with him. He became irate and started texting us late at night demanding money he wasn't owed for projects that weren't completed, that were damaged, not done to what we asked.. etc. We told him we would not continue until we spoke with a lawyer and looked into everything. The next week, he told us he was going to drop off the front door we had ordered months before. My husband wasn't home, so I asked him to drop it off. Brian came over with nothing and knocked on my door which my kids answered. I told Brian he needed to leave and we already told him we wouldn't be working with him until our attorney looked into everything. Our RING DOORBELL recorded Brian calling me a C**t and was threatening to take our home from us. He didn't seem stable and scared me and my kids since he knew my husband wasn't home when he came by. I filed a police report for harassment between the text messages and the verbal assault at my front door. We started getting in touch with the sub contractors and supposed suppliers Brian's stated he used who were informing us of costs and information that didn't match what Brian told us at all. Soon after that, we received a legal notice from Brian's attorney demanding that we refrain from contacting any suppliers and subcontractors or anyone related to Go Green. We found out a couple months later that Brian/ Go Green were being sued in both Fort Worth and Dallas County (public record) for fraud/ default etc. So, at the time Brian was overcharging us and demanding payment .. he owed companies in both counties ignorant amount of money which we have been asked to be witnesses for in Dallas County. (All public record in Dallas county and Tarrant county) February of this year, 6-7 months after the last time we heard from Brian, we received a pro se lawsuit in small claims from Brian trying to get almost $20,000 stating that he finished the work (yet the pictures provided to Brian show all the damage and unified work) so Brian knowingly filed a false small claims lawsuit against us we believe is to pay towards the legal fees and debt he owes other people since his attorney just withdrew from his Dallas County lawsuit. This company should be called Go find another contractor. It was the most horrible experience with any contractor I've ever had to deal with. They are unprofessional, late on their promise, does a horrible job, keeps on asking for the draw for the payments. Doesn't want to honor the warranty. Worst of all, their workmanship was amateur at the very best. They couldn't remodel my restroom correctly and caused water to leak to the other side of the wall and ruined my hardwood flood. At first Go Green didn't want to repair it until I had to get some attorneys involved. Then that whole ordeal lasted a year for them to repair the restroom. Now he owes me money because I had to buy the wood for them to repair my hardwood floors. It took them so long for him to purchase the wood, it seemed like he didn't have the money. I needed my house to be repaired because there was mold and moisture underneath the floors and I didn't want to wait another year for him to purchase the hardwood floors. So, I put out the money to purchase it for them to fix it. My game room was uninhabitable and the hallway I couldn't walk through it, it was so bad. My house has been a mess for 2 years, he's my neighbor only 3 houses down from my house and I made a big mistake in trusting him with the remodel. I cannot recommend this contractor, the owner spends very little time overseeing & supervising the progress of those he subcontracts out to. We had numerous problems and a complete lack of attention to detail in our remodeling effort. It was as if amateurs that were just starting out in the business were in charge and doing the actual work.
