The food was delicious, it was exactly what we needed. The cashier was so friendly and kind and there was live music while we were there and he was great! My sister and I rode the Silver Comet / Chief Ladiga Trail to Elevated Grounds and used the shuttle service that Brandon, the owner at Elevated Grounds, offers. I cannot recommend this enough. Brandon is fantastic, he gave us great tips for the next time we do the trail and told us about the history of it and the attractions that are along the trail! It was a perfect end to a great biking weekend. I got Brandon's number by calling Elevated Grounds and asking about the shuttle service. Again!! Perfect bike weekend! Everybody should do it! :) thanks again Brandon! (also check out the garden by the side of the coffee shop, so pretty)

One of the beat coffee places I have come across. I had to come to Piedmont, Al for work and ran into this place. They have really great customer service. It's a nice spot if you need to study or work with their cozy environment. The food and coffee is so amazing. I had the "spice spice baby" ice coffee which I loved soo much. You won't be disappointed.

If you're ever in Piedmont Al, you're in for a real treat! Downtown has some great little stores to do some visiting at and some great history throughout! I highly recommend it for a morning/afternoon visit! Now for Elevated Grounds! The moment you walk in the entrance is decorated with decor for the season, it's very inviting. The sound of music fills the entire establishment, you look around and it's very inviting, it almost resembles the living room of one of your closest friends! With games on every table to play while you're passing the time with family or friends. You're welcomed with a warm greeting from the young lady as she cheerfully explains their food and drink selections. We chose two lattes to drink one was the "Emily" mine was a latte with Sugar free Cinnabon flavoring. My wife ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel, and two chocolate muffins, for each of our children. I ordered one of their signature breakfast wraps that had egg, bacon, sausage, cheese and sauce on it. The coffees were incredible! Easily one of the best coffees I've had. Major chains have absolutely no comparison to this coffee. You can taste the coffee is fresh pressed, and the flavoring does not overpower the coffee, just enough to provide a flavor kick and at the same time still enjoy the fresh coffee flavor, It's such an enjoyable drink. Next the muffins, I had a bite of the chocolate muffin, it was very moist and had a very fresh chocolate taste. My son loved it. My wife's bagel was very fresh, and delicious, she really enjoyed it, plenty of bacon and egg, it wasn't missing a thing. My wrap was extraordinary and I'll explain why. So many times you'll go to an establishment, and they have a "wrap" part ways through, the wrap is gooey and then the filling falls into the plate, and you're then resorted to scooping the fillings up with a fork. Not here, the spinach herb wrap was perfectly folded and "cooked" with the contents inside, not a single morsel fell out of the wrap. Period! It all retained its form. Now for the contents.... Oh the contents... The egg was a chopped egg white, along with fresh ham, cheese, and sausage in their sauce and cheese, cheese perfectly melted with its components making for a delightful beginning to this Monday morning. I highly recommend them for a morning meal and coffee, we WILL be back soon for lunch very soon!

I absolutely love this beautiful place! The owners are so kind and attentive. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. The garden is so peaceful and lovely. The owners always ask and really listen to the customer's feedback to make this the best experience! I love coming here as a rest and lunch spot for my long bike rides. Will continue to return! Everything I've ever had here is so delicious!

Awesome stopover for Pinhoti Trail hikers. Great coffee, made to order sandwiches, and shuttle services to and from the trail! A class act!

Super unique experience! We wanted to come for my birthday back in January but got iced out and…read morejust now had a chance to get everyone back together. It was a fun time. The teas were excellent and the food had a good variety. The BLT Biscuits were the star for us. Favorite teas were the French Lavender (it's actually from France!) and the Pomegranate Oolong. The decor is really what stands out the most. There's so much to see in every direction, it's almost overstimulating but in a very relaxed way. If you like tea & Alice in Wonderland, definitely stop by! Be sure to visit The Rabbit Hole, their gift shop & bakery. It's beautiful and there's so many items to choose from!

The drive through the Mentone area is always beautiful and there's lots of cool studios and artsy things to do in the surrounding area. I will say they absolutely delivered on the Alice in Wonderland theme. It's wall-to-wall memorabilia, decorations, and cute ideas that allude to the classic story. If you're an Alice fan...definitely check it out. I wouldn't mind a few more Cheshire cats, though. :) Service was okay, honestly a bit disheveled and didn't seem in the best mood. We arrived early for lunch around 11:15. They initially sat our party of 3 at a table with chairs for 8-10. My mom even asked if they were sure they wanted to put us there and they affirmed the decision. They seemed confused that we were there and unsure what to do with us, even though I don't think anyone else who came in after us had a reservation or anything. Anyway, about 5 minutes later a giant party rolled up and they wound up moving us anyway. Fortunately we hadn't gotten drinks or anything yet. Due to the large size of some of the furniture pieces, navigation around the restaurant can be a little challenging. Also, the chair I sat in at table 2.0 had a sort of musty smell that I didn't love, lol. Minor nitpicks but it does sort of add up. Anyway, we placed our orders for food. They have a nice menu for teas and I'm sure it would be fun to have a tea party here, but it was too hot for me to partake. My mom got the biscuit BLT, my dad had a turkey wrap, and I got the chicken and biscuits, which is a bit like a chicken pot pie without bottom crust. For sides, my parents got the baked potato salad and crunchy pea salad, and I got the southern hot corn casserole. The sides were definitely the high point. The pea salad was crisp and refreshing and the baked potato salad was creamy and flavorful. My corn casserole wasn't terribly spicy but had a nice blend of flavors and textures, though it was perhaps slightly overcooked (the cheese on top was approaching crispy). They also didn't initially bring it out with my meal, but got it quickly after I asked for it. The entrees, however, fell flat. Mine was probably the most successful but it was ultimately pretty bland and there wasn't a whole lot of chicken in the meal -- mostly biscuits and gravy/filling. My mom's bacon in her BLT was very badly overcooked (even for someone who likes crispier bacon) and the biscuits were pretty crumbly. And my dad's turkey wrap was super underwhelming, about like what you'd buy pre-prepared from the deli section at Target or something. I sound like I'm coming across harsh and I wouldn't say we had a bad time, just the food didn't really meet our hopes/expectations. Definitely delivered on theme and decor. I think it's worth a try if you're a huge Alice in Wonderland fan or just enjoy whimsy in your life. The menu is creative and breakfast offerings sound good; perhaps it just wasn't quite our day that day. I'm glad I got the chance to try it out though.
