They do a thorough structural check of the full roof, explain to you your needs, and give you a FIRM estimate when they are ready to proceed. The OWNER of the company, Marvin Kosowski, is on every job his crew does! They do the latest environmentally-friendly and cost-effective techniques, too. Since I have a pitched roof, they suggested a newer technique with a "breathable vent" along the top of the roof. The result? The upstairs tenant's gas heating bill dropped dramatically (by half!), and the overall building's heat loss/cooling factor improved a lot! When Mom and Dad owned this building, they turned to Marvin back then, too. Established 1964. Work is fully guaranteed for years, depending on your installation technique. I had already made a claim with my insurance company (name intentionally withheld). With the estimate in hand, we hired Benjamin Brothers to complete the work and be our representative with our insurance company. I didn't want the headache and they knew what to do. As typical with insurance claims adjusters, they tried to nickel and dime the claim and Lee and Cody fought back to get the repair covered and each piece of damage compensated. Due to the back-and-forth, the job was delayed (weather/seasons) and the insurance tried to not pay the depreciation funds. We fought back again and the funds were finally released. The work was done professionally and when there was a slight issue with the repair, they corrected it immediately. They were responsive to our e-mails and phone calls and helped us through the dealing with our insurance company.

Dennis's crew came knocking at my door during the "pandemic," and before my town had reissued permits. Dummy me for opening the door, and shame on me for not even considering to ask if they had a solicitor's permit. The only thing that had gone through my mind was the fact that I was going to need a new roof, and got tied up with regular life things. So while it had been on my radar, I had not taken any initiative. FYI #1: they charge 3.5% for use of a credit card. This was not disclosed in any of the paperwork, nor mentioned in conversation. FYI #2: Before you do ANYTHING, check your insurance to see if there is a clause about codes. Apparently you can add coverage, pertaining to your residence meeting or not meeting codes. obviously imperative to look into if you foresee needing repairs such as replacing a roof. My roof decking was @3/8" (code is 5/8"), which wasn't covered under my insurance. I had to foot the bill for all new decking so it would meet code. I feel like these are pretty common situations that Elite Home Restoration should have brought up prior to initiating a claim, or signing any paperwork / agreements. but obviously this is how they make their money. By the end, the roof looked great. However, there was a ton of debris around my property that was never picked up (a safety hazard to my two small children and dog), including large wood splinters and nails. I ended up having to collect it all myself, and I addressed it with Dennis. Be an informed consumer and learn from my naivety. Borderline 3 star for the good-looking roof.
