The piercer easily became argumentative and uncomfortable to be around if you suggested different placement or preferences. I have received and successfully healed around 30 piercings and this was my first time having one reject. The process was unsanitary and the piercer was uncomfortable to work with, I really want to emphasize he doesn't use clamps. This made the experience more painful and traumatic to the skin. I totally get wanting to portray yourself as different, hard, or bad*ss in utilizing free handed piercings, however, it makes the piercing about impossible to heal and the process more painful. I've been going to All About Ink for a few years now and I've had everything down to surface piercings heal successfully with their methods. Honestly though even if the piercer had used a clamp, different gloves in between different people, cleaned, or higher quality jewelry, his personality alone would be a reason not to go back. I have never in my life asked for different placement and been met with an actual argument. If you're this insecure about your, as YOU said, "25 years of doing this sh*t," maybe this isn't the career field for you. I didn't even know you could mess up earlobe piercings until I met David. Told him what my husband wanted and made an appointment (for a Sunday a normal closed day) made our deposit and left. My husband sent him a cute little mermaid tattoo I wanted but with a few changes.
