Unprofessional, Rude, and Dishonest - Avoid This Shop! If I could give this shop zero stars, I would. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Weeks before our scheduled appointment, my husband and son personally visited the shop to inquire about their services. My husband, who did most of the talking, other than giving details on the work to be done, which came from my son. Who looks and sounds every bit of 16. Was never informed of any age restrictions--despite the fact that he walked in with our 16-year-old son[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We later scheduled an appointment, paid a deposit, and made all the necessary arrangements. The shop gladly took our money, only to wait until the morning of the appointment to suddenly inform us that they could not tattoo a minor--something that should have been made clear from the start. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To make matters worse, the shop owner was incredibly rude and dismissive when we questioned why this wasn't mentioned earlier. He arrogantly stated that the law had changed in the 1950s and that we "should have just Googled it."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Excuse me? As the owner of a tattoo shop, it should be your responsibility to inform potential clients of legal restrictions before taking their money--not after. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not only was he unapologetic, but he also showed zero accountability for the situation. Got my back dimples pierced here over the weekend by Doni and honestly I would recommend him to anyone looking to get pierced! My husband found this place on a fluke and after checking out the artwork and talking to Isaiah, he made the decision to have his new tattoo done here. Everyone was very friendly and had a real laid-back and casual type of vibe. He already had the tattoo of Papa Legba in mind. Initially, he wanted to cover an old tattoo but after talking to Isaiah, he changed his mind and had it on his forearm. He did a phenomenal job tattooing my husband all in one sitting for a good 7 hours and the details are just SICK!!! Looks exactly like the picture he had. While my husband was in the chair, my older daughter also decided she wanted a tattoo and they had the availability to get her in that day. I believe that her tattoo artist's name was Marvin. In any event, she wanted a lotus flower which also turned out beautifully. I was super impressed with their work and will be coming back to get my old tattoo updated as well. The place was so clean and super welcoming. Chase was so nice and knowledgeable. I wanted a small piece in tribute to my aunt that has passed. I was worried about it being so small and still being able to see the detail. When we were trying to figure out the placement he was patient and helpful to make sure it came out the best way possible. During the tattooing he was friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I recently got my helix and nipples pierced by Doni and he is the best piercer I have ever gone to. I had both of those piercings done in the past but both never healed correctly and they got infected. When I had my nipples pierced a few years ago, I got small keloids and had to take the piercings out. I was in so much pain for weeks, any movement would make me cry. I came in to see Doni yesterday and he was able to re pierce them again and let me just say... BEST EXPERIENCE HANDS DOWN. Did it hurt? I used Yelp to get some quotes on simple scripts. Jason the owner responded immediately and advised me to go in to the shop to get started on design. Once I came in I was greeted immediately and asked what kind of tattoo I had in mind. My grandmother passed day after Mother's Day and I wanted to get her name on my forearm. I was introduced to West who quickly drafted the lettering design on his iPad. He asked for my input and made adjustments when needed. West printed out different sizes to see what would look proper on the space I chose. We quickly agreed on the spacing and size. West prepared the station and got started right away. I'm blessed to have met West today and seeing his work on IG inspired me to do portraits to add on to my arm. I HIGHLY recommend supporting Eleven Mag Tattoo shop in Brentwood.
