My food was very tasty hers' tasty but a little dry (chef happily supplied us with a batch of MY dishes' sauce for her meal for pennies.). Overall ambience - friendly, well-lit - although it was still light outside, appropriate music played at low volume. Toilets were spotless and impressive. Staff were helpful, polite and really made an effort. Not too expensive given the quality, and portion size, of the food - the potato-skin starter was as big as a main meal. Having visited quite a few restaurants where we have had a terrible dining experience, we'll often visit again just to see if it's still the same - everybody/place can have an off-day, we will visit Al Forno (Of/to, the furnace/oven) again just to see if we were at a good place at a bad time or a bad place at a good time I feel sure it'll pass the second-visit test. Happily recommend it.

Real range of age customers though. I'm always a bit miffed when I order restaurant lasagne instead of the stuff we make at home, but that's personal preference and it did still taste great.

It may also be advisable to make an advance booking as it can get quite full. It's very small inside and the tables are close together. The wait for food literally depends on your party size. We went with quite a large party and found ourselves waiting quite a while. The food is really good quality though a little pricy. There's a big array of pizzas and pastas and other italian foods. The desserts are nice though the choice of ice cream for children is very limited. The staff are really nice here and polite. Generally a nice spot for birthdays and celebrations. The Europa Restaurant is known in the local area for their value for money and offering the best Parmos in town. The Europa is located on Borough Road; they offer a variety of home cooked meals which are always popular. On a weekend the atmosphere in this restaurant is extremely lively, most of the people here have been out drinking all day/night and now fancy something nice to eat. In saying that that atmosphere is not a bad one it may be rowdy but it is not offensive by any means. If you are ever in Middlesbrough then you have to try this restaurant
