My starter of Mussels in Spicy Tomato sauce was lush with just the right ratio of onions to spice and a really good portion of Mussels. Main course size, in fact. My main of stuffed Rabbit saddle, Wood Pigeon breast & Italian sausage on Polenta & gravy was cooked to perfection, really nice with good, strong flavours. And once again a really decent helping. The espresso & Amaretto topped ice cream was a great finish too. Our waitress (the owner, I think) was a mature, welcoming lady who was nice to speak with and knowledgeable about the menu. Although the inside of the building is not the classiest or even most chic decorated I have ever seen there is still a nice feeling of a warming atmosphere. We wee seated almost immediately and out drinks arrive several minutes after, at times it does get quite busy so if you are in a party I would strongly recommend booking a table otherwise you might be stood waiting for a while. Many other restaurants that I have been to don't offer authentic Italian food, I ordered the lasagne and I absolutely loved it and if I go again I'm certain this is what I will order. Visited on a Monday, wasn't as deserted as one might have expected…read more Seated immediately - got to choose where to be seated. Given time to peruse menu, offered drinks, not hurried. My food was very tasty hers' tasty but a little dry (chef happily supplied us with a batch of MY dishes' sauce for her meal for pennies.). Overall ambience - friendly, well-lit - although it was still light outside, appropriate music played at low volume. Toilets were spotless and impressive. Staff were helpful, polite and really made an effort. Not too expensive given the quality, and portion size, of the food - the potato-skin starter was as big as a main meal. Having visited quite a few restaurants where we have had a terrible dining experience, we'll often visit again just to see if it's still the same - everybody/place can have an off-day, we will visit Al Forno (Of/to, the furnace/oven) again just to see if we were at a good place at a bad time or a bad place at a good time I feel sure it'll pass the second-visit test. Real range of age customers though. I'm always a bit miffed when I order restaurant lasagne instead of the stuff we make at home, but that's personal preference and it did still taste great.

The Europa Restaurant is known in the local area for their value for money and offering the best Parmos in town. The Europa is located on Borough Road; they offer a variety of home cooked meals which are always popular. On a weekend the atmosphere in this restaurant is extremely lively, most of the people here have been out drinking all day/night and now fancy something nice to eat. In saying that that atmosphere is not a bad one it may be rowdy but it is not offensive by any means. If you are ever in Middlesbrough then you have to try this restaurant
