I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole experience from start to finish. Kenji and his small but mighty team were beyond caring, attentive, and professional in every way. Every email was copied to the whole team so nothing ever got missed. I was guided through all the document gathering, and they took the necessary time through emails and phone calls to grasp and understand the nature of my business and financial losses so they could do the best job to recover everything. They did not miss a thing!! They handled every aspect of my case with full transparency and gained my complete trust. They were there every step of the way through my hours-long deposition and even longer mediation. Kenji made sure we had plenty of time to talk and prepare beforehand so there were no surprises and I felt completely comfortable in the space. The end result was a settlement that was well over what I anticipated when I first reached out to Kenji. I 100% recommend!!

I filed a bankruptcy in 2017 with Adam Weiner. The level of experience, kindness, and…read moreresponsiveness of his office is unmatched. There are several options in the Portland metro, but the difference with Adam's law firms and others is that he is not here to sell you on something, but to help you navigate a difficult time and to give you knowledge about better options for the future. His rates were reasonable, and although I borrowed money to pay the whole fee at the time, he does take payments, as I recall. His office was very quick at responding to any questions or concerns. The reason for this late review is that, unfortunately, my family made a series of mistakes that landed us back in bankruptcy. Even worse, I let my embarrassment over our situation prevent us from choosing this office again and going with a much less capable firm. Don't make my mistake. Adam Weiner's office is the one you want, hands down. Having been through two bankruptcies, I have to say that this is the one I recommend to friends and family. They are very organized in setting you up for filing, treat you with respect, and help you navigate what can be a pretty overwhelming process. A bad law firm makes bankruptcy feel more stressful. With Adam Weiner every week it gets easier and easier and you'll end up feeling like you have a fresh start and were treated well by him.

After months of living off our meager savings and credit cards, we finally found enough work to get by, but by then our debt had become overwhelming, endangering any future we might have been able to build. So, scary as it was, bankruptcy seemed to be the best choice for our future financial well-being. I reached out to Adam because of a trusted referral, and he and his team were absolutely stellar. Very open, very kind, very friendly, very knowledgeable (and very affordable), I could not have asked for better support throughout the whole process. The system has these things built in to help people in precarious situations, and we should take advantage of them when we need to. I cannot recommend a better law office to do that with than Adam's. He is one of the good ones.

Michael Harris is the dumbest, conniving and dishonest pr*ck youre ever going to meet in your life…read more My ex WAS IN THE PROCESS of disposing of my property in a surprise domestic dispute while I was 3000 miles away, and I asked him if it was a crime, and he said no, he did not call the police for me nor suggest that I do the same, to stop her from doing this (it IS a crime, its A FELONY), nor would he even file for an injunction to stop her - get this: BECAUSE IT WOULD REQUIRE A LAWSUIT; no thats not a typo: a LAWYER did NOTHING to stop my ex from disposing of my property, BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE TO DO THE JOB I WAS HIRING HIM FOR: to file a lawsuit! Now how stupid am I for not hanging up the phone and calling a different lawyer? I'm dealing with my 90 yr old parents in wheelchairs in NY, my ex ends our relationship, I havent seen her in 3 months, she gets a restraining order against me, this idiot Harris is charging me for advice on the RO, WITHOUT EXPLAINING TO ME THAT IF I CONTINUE TO ASK HIM QUESTIONS ABOUT IT HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY WRONG INFORMATION HE GIVES ME, I would soon find out he gave me LOTS AND LOTS of wrong information on it... HE'S CHARGING ME FOR IT WITHOUT ADDING IT TO OUR CONTRACT... OK so back to the property dispute, I told him the value was about 20,000 dollars, but I'm all distraught from everything that was going on, I was somehow EVEN DUMBER than he is, and let him convince me to sue her for only 10,000 because, I'll quote him: "you get your money quick, if we do it for more than 10k we dont get to include attorney fees, so we'll ask her to include attorney fees, and then you can write me a good review." then as embarrassing as it is for me to admit, I didnt do the math, and realize that if we sued for the 20,000, and I ended up paying him 5000, I'D STILL BE AHEAD WITH 15,000 INSTEAD THE 10,000 THAT HE CONVINCED ME TO GO WITH. meanwhile THIS WHOLE TIME HE'S DRAINING MY RETAINER so he ends up keeping the whole 5000 that i gave him, I ended up taking my ex to small claims and got the full 10,000 WITHOUT HARRIS, WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE ADVISED THAT I DO IN THE VERY BEGINNING, IF HE WAS GOING TO DO WHATS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF HIS CLIENT, but instead he was STEALING from his client FOR THE BENEFIT OF HIS FIRM, putting HIMSELF ahead of his client. DONT MAKE FUN OF HOW STUPID I AM AND HOW I BROUGHT THIS ON TO MYSELF, if youre going to hire him, because then that makes YOU EVEN DUMBER than me.

I was referred to Gary Kahn at Reeves Kahn & Hennessy by a friend whom I trust, who is in the real estate management profession and I presume works with them much more regularly. My needs were modest -- I just needed someone to help advise me and review a purchase contract. I'm sure this was pretty small potatoes for an established firm like this -- but I didn't feel like I got shortchanged on their attention at all. Gary helped review the sales contract, and made sure I understood everything. He was willing to give me as much time as would be required to answer my questions. But he also didn't draw the process out -- it was quick and easy, and his fee was very reasonable. If you are looking for a real estate attorney, I would definitely recommend Gary Kahn and his firm.

Based on my experience, Blake Dore came to court without having adequately prepared or developed arguments for the case. I was informed for the first time shortly before the hearing that he believed the County's case was essentially "bulletproof" and that there were no viable arguments to make. This assessment was not communicated in advance, and there was no prior discussion of strategy or whether proceeding to trial was advisable. After the hearing, I asked specific questions about why certain arguments were not raised, particularly arguments based on the correct revision of the manufacturer's manual that corresponded to the radar unit actually used in my case. Blake Dore acknowledged that those arguments were not made and explained that decisions were driven largely by how he believed the judge would react, rather than by the substance of the arguments themselves. When I pressed for explanations, my questions were not meaningfully engaged with. Preparation was described primarily in terms of obtaining discovery, negotiating, and the officer "checking the boxes" the judge typically requires, rather than coming to court with fully developed arguments. Additionally, I was not contacted after the trial to be informed of the outcome. I did not receive notice that the case had been lost until 17 days later, when I was finally sent a message through the firm's online portal. I understand that not every case can be won. However, I expect advance communication, clear strategy discussions, and timely follow-up. Based on my experience, those standards were not met, and I would not recommend hiring Blake Dore. I believe it would be a more sound decision to retain a different attorney.
