Overall positive experience but I think food is hit or miss. Depends on what you get. Service is good. Staff are very friendly. There's not a lot of seating but worked for us. I think this place is sort of a local favorite. The setting is very casual and fits the local favorite theme. The starter bread and marinara sauce was delicious. For meals, I had the aglio y olio but found it lacked flavor. But I did enjoy the chunks of cooked garlic. My wife had the pepperoni pizza, which had plenty of pepperoni but not a stand-out pizza. My daughter had the chicken parmigiana which was pretty good. My son the rigatoni which was decent. And oldest son the chicken Murphy, which was very good. So overall not bad. Was at the Newark airport and needed a quick bite to eat. Eli's was recommended. Driving there was quick and easy. I was lucky and found parking right away. I wanted some good NY Pizza and this place has some. Their menu is large, and they have plenty of dishes. I almost ordered something different than pizza because everything looked and sounded really good. I did order a pie with sausage and pepperoni. This is my favorite local pizza place near my apartment. They have very good pies. However, the pricing isn't consistent. I once paid $42, yes, $42 for a large Hawaiian pie. Then two weeks later, $27. Also, the pizza size varies. I consistently order largest and sometimes they are massive and other times regular large, other times they have 9 slices instead of 8. Either way, be careful what you're charged, since depending on if you order online or over the phone or on the slice app the prices change for the same thing. read more

It was INCREDIBLE!! We had the garlic knots which was super yummy as well as the meatball pizza - and the best part...the penne alla vodka with chicken. We were pleasantly surprised to find Jimmy's clean and large storefront windows that opened up the small yet inviting restaurant. There are limited tables and despite the constant flow of customers there is rarely a wait for a table. We ordered a calzone, chicken alfredo and hotwings. We also ordered a beef patty while we waited. All were excellent, literally 5 stars. The chicken also came with a crisp succulent FRESH salad with what appeared to be in house made caesar dressing. Here's what my husband had to say, "I have missed real italian food since i left the tri-state 5 years ago and the quality of flavor here is mind blowing. The sauce is homemade - thick, tangy, and flavorful just like grandma used to make. I grew up in Italian Canarsie in Brooklyn and Eli's food is better! Don't stop at the pizza.
