Went to Michelinos for an early dinner on a Saturday. I was thinking it would be a beat up old school pizzeria, but it was actually a really nice restaurant. Our waiter took our drink orders, and brought us a complimentary basket of freshly made bread. It was really good. For appetizers, we got the hot antipasto for 2 as well as an order of calamari. My favorites from the hot antipasto were the eggplant rollatini and clams oreganata, but everything tasted great. For my entree, i got the Sicilian short rib, which was served with a wild mushroom risotto. The short rib was a huge portion for the price, an entire short rib. It was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. The mushroom risotto was very savory and rich. I would definitely order this again. I'd definitely return to this spot. read more

Oh my goodness, I don't know what took me so long to come back to this place. Everything about it is five stars. My boyfriend had never been here before and was like why haven't you haven't you taken me here before. LOL. We started with the sausage crostini which was practically a meal in itself and sooo good. I asked our server for his recommendation of the pork osso bucco or the scallops and he suggested the pork. My boyfriend had the stuffed sole and he loved it. My sangria was just as I remembered it, the best I ever had. Jerry, the owner who I haven't seen in years came around to make his rounds. It was so good to see him after all these years. The food was awesome. I had a pepperoni and a general tso pizza and a side salad. It was delicious and reasonably priced. I will return before I leave the area!! The service was great! Haven't ate here in a while. And I regret doing so. The buffalo chicken had shredded chicken on it...SHREDDED. It was gross. The chicken looked dried out. The bottom of the pizza was soggy. Stopped by for a plain cheese slice and a Sicilian slice. Good pizza but nothing that stands out. The Sicilian had a nice crust that was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside but there was too much parm cheese on top. That's really all I tasted. I do not like parm cheese and would have preferred they left it off and allow you to add it after. Stick with the plain slice if you don't like parm cheese :) read more

I'm a fair reviewer the pizza here is AMAZING ! The stuffed portabella mushrooms are really good, but this was probably one of the WORST appetizers I have gotten in while. It was half a mushroom, then a small mushroom that still had a little stump on it . The breading was 6x the size of "mushrooms". I am assuming they were probably at the bottom of barrel. Typically, it's a one plump mushroom on the bottom. Please stay consistent even on to go orders. I love that item. read more

I order from Michelinos every 3 weeks. When I moved to NJ 10 years ago I fell in love with their pizza. They remain the restaurant my family and I order the most food from. It's disappointing to write a bad review, but here we go. I ordered a half cheesesteak. Asked for only American cheese and ketchup. It was printed on the receipt. I get a full cheesesteak with ketchup, cheese and mayo. Nope. I detest mayo. Can't stomach it. Called the restaurant, young lady says they don't usually put mayo on cheesesteaks. Welp, they did with this one. (Why invalidate your customer?) She puts me on hold. Comes back and says "I talked to the guy who made the cheesesteak - he says he didn't put mayo on the sub." Ma'am. Who is this "guy"? She said she would replace the sub. I asked for a refund. She said she won't refund me unless she got the sub back. Dude...WTF. This is the hill you're willing to die on? Take the damn sub. Waste gas to have a driver come back to my home. You f'd up. Here are the pics. I hope people see how companies can make great food and suck at customer service. Keep that same energy when I call you back tomorrow because your driver never showed up. Update: I called the following day and a different employee (presumably a manager) acknowledged that she had received complaints about this employee before and offered a credit for my food. Both drinks and food were tendered in a timely manor. Both wings were delicious. The pene vodka pizza is my recommendation to you. The bacon cheese burger was also good, burger was served on a Kaiser roll- which was different. The raviolis were AMAZING !!!!! I got take home from here about a month ago. Presentation was nice but only 1 out of the 3 things I ordered had a good taste. The whipped mash is blah, the cheese ravioli had a thick pasta and not enough cheese. Lastly I had the spinach dip which was good. My favorite was the foundation soda. Last night i went for something more familiar and had Italian at Michelinos Pizza. There is a pizza joint in the front with a full restaurant in the back. There is a nice bar as you walk in, ample seating in that area as well as in a full dining room area. I ordered a drink and asked for bread and was told, yes, it is almost ready... Yep, it was fresh made and served with olive oil, parmesan cheese, butter, etc. I ordered the appetizer special which was asparagus wrapped in prosciutto covered in some balsamic oil dressing on top of arugula and roasted sweet peppers. It was absolutely delicious. For dinner, I was already relatively full but ordered the Penne Pasta in Vodka Sauce with a side of sausage. I was very pleased with everything. I do frequent the restaurant side, not only for the great food but also for the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. This past weekend I had my father's surprise 80th birthday party there and a the crew at Michelino's couldn't so anything more for me! Even Jerry (owner/executive chef) popped out from his busy kitchen at least four times to see how everything was going. Besides the bountiful appetizers ranging from cold antipasta, perfectly fried calamari, to eggplant rollatini,I made some Italian (family style) selections and my 45 guests were blown away! The main courses were Chicken Marsala and Veal Dishes were superb, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The service was on point led by a young vibrant staff!
