In May 2 4:15 am, 2006 we had a House Fire from a lightning strike. From the time I called the 800 number to State Farm, Elisa was at my house within 45 min, with a box of donuts 2 lawn chairs and a check for emergency spending money. Within 15 min, she had hotel rooms for my family and pets. Within 30 min, she had pulled contractors off another jobsite and had them reroute to my house to patch the massive hole in my roof, because of another round of severe was approaching. By 3 pm my house was emptied of its contents, was on its way to the cleaning and restoration center, and gave me a complete inventory of items on a CD and hard copy. By 4 pm, a State Farm certified contractor was evaluating the house for damage and restoration. After my conversation with the contractor, I had the get-well game plan for my house, which was by far the most comforting aspect. By 4:30 pm, the State Farm estimator provided me a copy of the assessment of the house and documentation and contact information for renting a house and furniture. Within 3 days, I was in a rental house and settled. The process that followed for all the incidentals was painless and quickly handled. I paid for a policy to support an emergency and they came through well beyond my expectations and was there when I really needed them.
