*** FOLLOW UP ON PREVIOUS REVIEW: After I posted this message on on the afternoon of Thursday, October 28, the owner of the company, Mr. Harry Gallagher, gave me a call to inquire about the issue. He not only heard my concern, but he assured me that that someone would be out as soon as possible to remedy the situation. On Monday, November 1st, Cory Bennett and a team from Elite were out to inspect the job and to re-do the job the right way. The team identified two large areas that had clay-like moisture, and they immediately dug up the asphalt and corrected the problem. Now - as Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Bennett promised - they are waiting on a day to re-seal the entire parking lot and re-stripe our parking spaces for us. So, as a gesture of good will (and for a job that was completed much more professionally the second time), I will rescind my previous review and I will offer a good review of Elite Asphalt, LLC (when working with the right people at the company). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *** PREVIOUS REVIEW: On Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 Elite Asphalt came out to complete a black asphalt paving job for my church parking lot (approx. 25,500 sq ft). Before the job began, the company rep (Hannah Blomgren) gave me a total cost of $28,600. However, after the pavers arrived, they found that the back part of the parking lot had a considerable amount of damage (something that Hannah and/or any other rep would have seen if they would have come out to the property to look at the project before bidding on it). Nevertheless, after arriving at an additional amount of $800 for extra gravel to fill the back part of the parking lot, the work was approved and ready to go. Before the crew left on the last day of the job, there were a few uneven craters that I inquired about, and a few streaks of oils mixed with dirt that I complained about. These inquiries were answered by telling me that within 6 months the asphalt would look dirty and streaked anyway. Well, as time went by (and rain came down), I noticed that there were puddles of rain accumulating on certain spots and the back part of the parking lot began to bevel as our trash truck and other vehicles passed over the area. Every several weeks, I sent pictures and text messages to Ms. Blomgren, and, at first, she stated that the whole back area had to be redone and that it was not part of the original scope of the project. But then, after several more attempts to get Elite to honor their 3 year warranty commitment, Ms. Blomgren began to tell me that she would pass by and/or schedule someone to do the work as soon as possible. Unfortunately, after almost six months, nothing has been resolved (and Ms. Blomgren has not held up her end of the bargain). As a Pastor, it is truly disheartening to work with an organization that is unwilling on resolving its issues in a timely manner (as the people of my congregation are currently bearing the risk of possibly falling at one of these uneven and/or cracked locations). I personally do not recommend Elite Asphalt, LLC. read more

We purchased some acreage adjacent to our property and contacted Elite Asphalt to repair and resurface our existing roads and add about another 200' of road through the new parcel. We chose a chipseal coat for cost and durability. Harry Gallagher accommodated us by coming out late one evening to walk the property and discuss the work. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He had a crew at the end of a job in town and offered me a discount if we could start the next day. After discussing with my wife, we bit, and the work was done quickly and meeting all our specifications. Elite installed several culverts and a French drain in front of the garage as part of the job. The new road base was absorbing a lot of ground water, so Harry recommended adding another layer of chipseal. We approved the additional expense, and ended up with three layers in some places. The overall cost was higher than planned but Harry's and our goal was to create a road that would last 20 years, not wash out or develop potholes that would require repair later. This surface will cure hard as concrete and require a saw to get through, but is easy to repair. We were given a two-year warranty, and they will be back to check how the road is curing in a few weeks. We will be adding a privacy fence along one border, and Harry offered to come back after we get it installed and he will fill out the parking area up to the edge. His experience, attention to detail, pride in his work and commitment to personal trust is obvious. I feel very confident that we got a top-quality product with top-quality customer service. I contacted Elite Asphalt to install some commercial paving for me. The owner of my company placed me in charge to handle the purchase of this project, my stress level was so outrageously HI. I had a problem getting paving contractors to call me back.. I managed to get 2 bids and choose to move forward with Elite; that has proven to be the best decision I have made in a long time. Harry ask me to write a review last year and I told him I will after I see how the work holds up. The work was completed 6/5/15 so I am am staying true to my word as Harry did with us. It was a large purchase and I gotta say my boss has expressed to me yesterday that he is very impressed with my decision and that makes me happy. Just wanted to let everyone know the owner Harry is a bipolar and uses bad language when he talks to my husband and other employees! Harry let employees attack other employees and did nothing about it. Harry let my husband go because people running their mouth and spreading lies. Harry will figure that out really soon. My husband gave 110% everyday to this company and Harry fried him right before Thanksgiving and the holidays. Harry and his crew at Elite Asphalt are the best. They did a driveway with some extras for my house and my daughters house out in Weatherford and did an amazing job. Very professional and courteous and certainly gave me my moneys worth. I couldnt imagine anyone being able to do a better job, it is beautiful. I sent them a request for an estimate on my parking lot they came out gave a estimate I sat down with Harry and went over everything he answered all my questions we came to easy terms the crew came the next day in uniforms and started the job. We hired Harry to redo the roads in our gated neighborhood. We had potholes that could swallow cars. Elite did Portland concrete stabilization over 25,000 sq ft of road and laid asphalt over that and it turned out great. They helped us fix our drainage issues and put in speed bumps for us. We will be using elite for all of our work in the future. read more
