I can't say enough about the excellent care i am receiving. They are communicating with my physician in Port Charlotte as to my specific health concerns. They go to great lengths to make sure that my visits are as pleasant as possible and I am comfortable. Exceptional service all the way around. It's like I am flying first class on an airline. I am totally blown away by the waiting room. Those are real orchids. The wall of imported marble. I stated clearly -multiple times- that I only wanted basic X-rays and cleanings covered by my insurance for my family members, as we have good dental health. (We had full mouth X-rays at another office. Insurance only pays for these every 5 years. Harbor Dental had the results from all 3 of our family members, and before making the 1st appointment, I was assured this would not be a problem, this was just the 1st incident that I disputed). Despite that, additional services were added to the bill without prior discussion of cost or informed consent. Patients deserve transparency and respect for their preferences and coverage limits. If you go here, insist on a written treatment plan and itemized estimate before any work is performed, and verify coverage in advance.

When you have an urgent need, they go out of their way to help figure out a solution. Originally went to this office for 3 years until they stopped taking our insurance. Went to 2 other in-network dentists since leaving SWFL Dental and r experiences have been awful at these other places - temps used as hygienists, hidden costs, trying to upsell, wanting to drill/fill cavities that aren't actually cavities (thanks to Dr. Baxmann for taking a look & letting us know no work was really needed!). We truly feel that we can trust Dr. Baxmann so r returning and will just pay the out of network cost. It's worth the money to be able to rely on the opinion/expertise and work of someone like Dr. Baxmann who is honest, takes a cautious approach and takes his time ensuring he's providing you with his best work. We r a little more along the holistic/biologic category in r dental approach & although that isn't Dr B's practice, he is respectful of r opinions and gives us the option on what we feel comfortable doing. As far as quality of dental work, he fixed 2 of my child's teeth with enamel hypocalcification/hypoplasia and they look so great now! He did an amazing job matching the color so that it looks natural. Really thankful he walked us through the details so we could feel comfortable moving forward. The office is clean, modern, and actually cute which is a refreshing change from my last dentist that looked like a hole in the wall. The TVs have crystal clear resolution for viewing x-rays, and they went over everything in detail so I understood exactly what was going on. My wait time was literally zero minutes, and here is the funny part; I was in and out with a filling faster than my last office ever managed to do a cleaning. The hygienist/assistant was so sweet and personable, and the dentist was relatable, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. I even found myself laughing and enjoying the visit which has never happened at a dental appointment in my life. For the first time ever, I am actually looking forward to going back for my cleaning.
