If you are following, you know I have been hosting (and teaching my guests) how to ski. Well, one of the parents of the kids hurt themself so I was not able to make this event, sorry. I don't know what I was expecting but Crush crushed it! I decided on the Big Stick tea -I love anything tropical that makes me feel like I'm on vacation- and I would definitely order this drink again. What I liked most, besides the flavor, is it had a taste of vitamins which made me feel healthy just drinking it. When I say it had a taste of vitamin, not a bad overwhelming taste like how your daily vitamins taste but a subtle taste. I also loved the chocolate and peanut butter balls. When I go back to Crush, I will be ordering those as well. I'm excited to try a shake because of all the protein in it and they don't use milk! Excited to have this place near my house. What a tasty shake and I'm shocked it was dairy free! As a deeply lactose intolerant gal I frequently struggle to find protein shakes that taste good and won't cause me to be in doubled over pain. I had the banana bread and thought it tasted great if a touch sweet for me! The protein ball and donut were also nice! My only suggestion would be more information. Normally I wouldn't mind the lack of specifics if it wasn't a health focused endeavor. Rather than a calorie range or the estimated nutrients in a shake I'd like to know the specifics so that I can plan the rest of my meals. It's a meal replacement, but what meal?!? AJ greeted me and took the time to explain the differences and benefits of the Power Teas and protein drinks. I went for the Cucumber, Lime, Watermelon power tea which was really sweet but overall really good and refreshing. The mini protein doughnut had a good taste and consistency. I really liked the oat chocolate chip peanut butter ball. The location is tucked into the Walmart shopping center a bit but convenient while out and about. I'm so glad there was a yelp event at Crush because I didn't even know it existed and I am now a huge fan! I met AJ at the front and he was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Love this place! Great menu selection, exceptional owner/staff. I timed it to arrive after my Orangetheory workout. I chose the banana caramel protein shake and it was delicious ~ the banana flavor came through strong but not overpowering. We also chose the chocolate strawberry protein shake and it was excellent ~ great balance of the chocolate not overwhelming the strawberry. We ordered the protein waffles to go and the flavor/texture was definitely worth going back for. The protein balls (chocolate & peanut butter) were delicious without a chalky texture, just nice and flavorful. I work from home in Sparks and I've been trying to eat healthier so today, I was looking forward to the Crush Elite event and it did not disappoint. I only wish now we had one in Sparks! The location was easy to find in S. Reno. I walked through the door and was greeted by AJ. He told me about the Elite event choices, so I went with the Dutch Chocolate, I love chocolate and the sprinkle donut which has 25grams of protein. I was sold right there. I received my shake and it was very tasty and the little sprinkle donut was incredible and let me say "it's pure goodness." I said immediately "I'll take the donuts to go". AJ wife, Megan made them right there so they were nice and fresh and of course I dug right in when I got to my car. There were 7 donuts, I had two and saved the rest for my husband to enjoy. The family moved to Reno from Southern California. They opened Crush November 2023. They have 6 other stores in Cali, but they love Reno and the community so that made my heart happy! I'm not someone who usually consumes protein, which is why I decided to give this business a chance. Honestly, I loved it! They have an incredible variety of flavors, both in shakes and infusions. The drinks have a perfect balance, and best of all, they don't contain an extreme amount of sugar, and the protein blended in perfectly. A great find for sure! I'm in that parking lot all the time but had never seen this place. The owner was incredibly welcoming and full of information on all of his products. We enjoyed a smoothie, and took three of the teas with us. We also took two packs of their protein balls, which I think are just delicious. I do wish there was nutritional information for their products, especially as they are a "health food" destination. Many people that are very into nutrition. Definitely wanna know what their macros are. The best part though, is that it offers something much more healthy for my daughter who is a Dutch Bros addict! She can easily stop here and get a smoothie or one of the energy teas and it will stay with her far longer than anything else she can get on the road. My dh and I journeyed down to south Reno to check out this event. As usual Michael picked a great place to check out! I ordered the Iron Man which was delish!! It has Mango, Strawberry and Orange favors! Really almost unbelievable that there's only 25 calories and zero sugar. I would for sure order this again! I have to admit I had never been here until today, but have I been missing out! I had the White Chocolate Rasberry Cheesecake Protein Shake at the recommendation of one of the owners. It was absolutely delicious. It was creamy and with a perfect amount of sweetness. It's hard to believe it is under 200 calories and loaded with Protein, Vitamins and Minerals. An absolute treat. Speaking of treats, I also had a Protein Donut and a Peanut Butter Protein Ball. The Donut wasn't very sweet, so I think it complimented the shake really well. The Peanut Butter Ball was just a bit too sweet for me, but also really good. It was lovely to meet the owners, Maygen and AJ. They were very welcoming and AJ, who was at the counter, was really thorough explaining their product. So many choices for flavors!! There is definitely something for everyone. My son and I stopped by today and we were promptly greeted by Aj and his wife. I'm glad they weren't busy while we were here! I was able to ask more questions and take in this cute joint. We were given the run down on their menu. I had a few diet restrictions, but I loved I could order anything! I was taken back by the variety of shakes and sugar free refreshers. Super excited to try Crush Nutrition! Protein Shakes are part of my daily routine, so I was pumped to see so many different flavor options with them ALL being under 200 calories and up to 33g of protein! I tried the Fudgesicle Shake and it was tasty and I felt guilt free! I was able to indulge in a chocolate sweet treat without sacrificing on quality ingredients and it wasn't loaded with calories. Also, a big plus is that they use a water base vs dairy! So glad I know this exists! I can't wait to try other shake flavors! I also ordered their Cucumber Lime Tea with watermelon. This tea is infused with vitamins and energy elements to kick off your day for sure. I am a big fan of unsweetened tea or a slightly sweetened tea, so this unfortunately wasn't my jam. I guess I missed the energy element or the sugar free syrups that made up the flavors. Great yelp event! I like how Crush Reno decided to give their customers a good variety of their offerings by providing one drink as well as one of their snacks. I find the owners' enthusiasm and outgoing character to be the biggest selling point. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a warm conversation, which was refreshing. I ordered the cucumber lime tea, but I was unsure of which snacks to get. Because they ran out of a couple options, one of the owners decided to give me multiple samples to try, which I really appreciated. I loved the cucumber lime tea! It was refreshing, not too sweet, and had both a lemonade (limeade) and a hint of cucumber. I think it's great that they added vitamins and supplements into the drink. The tea felt clean and healthy. The snacks were also great. I really liked the peanut butter banana ball. It had a strong banana flavor to it which I wasn't expecting. What a fun elite event! I have never been to Crush nutrition and I made it in on the first day of the event after a midday run. I enjoyed browsing the extensive menu of protein shakes and energy teas and drinks. I was torn, but I chose the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, protein shake, and was not disappointed. The consistency was great, thick and creamy: Cheesecake is one of my favorite decadences and the fact that I can have it in a protein shake and one that is healthy, under 200 calories with 17+ grams of protein AND vitamins and minerals- what a win!! The staff were very personable and also are holding a raffle for the Elite folks. We also got a bite-size protein donut, and protein ball, which I can't wait to have later. The shake was very filling and I can definitely see how this easily could be a meal replacement or a mid day snack. Some of the customers next to me got the snickerdoodle and a chocolate shake that looked amazing as well. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. I asked about the breakdown of ingredients and I was pointed to their flyer that had the 200 cal & the protein amounts but I would have liked to have seen the full breakout of say, cholesterol, exact vitamins, any sugars, etc. I believe that this information may be on their website so I'm going to research a bit more. I had seen some of the advertising for this new place, but I didn't exactly know where it was at so I'm so glad that Yelp did this event to get more exposure for them and so that I could try it out. You know I'm a CRUSH fanatic! This is at least a weekly occurrence to me so I was excited to stop by and get to experience CRUSH with fellow Elites! I picked up my favorite (The CTC protein shake) and then was also handed a protein donut and protein bite. Both were delicious and were nicely filling! Sometimes you drink your protein and sometimes you gotta eat it. I will definitely be considering those donuts in the future. Thank you to Yelp and the Crush Nutrition team for collaborating and offering us yelpers a chance to not only learn about your business but also try it out. I'm often in this shopping center during my lunch hour to pick up a few things at the walmart. Often I wind up with a gross corn dog since it is quick and easy. But now I know I have another far better option in the same parking lot! I tied the peach tea. It was a bit sweet for me, but not overly so. I was able to sip on it back at my desk at work and could feel the energy it was giving me without any jitters. Also felt a bit more focused. Next time I will try one of the protein shakes.
