Thank you Katey G and Yelp for this experience with Luckin Coffee. I got 2 drinks and a magnet for free. It was a seamless effort placing the order on the app with the code Yelp provided to me. I got a regular pumpkin cinnamon latte since it is the holiday season! The pumpkin cinnamon latte came with real pumpkin puree. It did not taste that sweet when I tried it. Apart from that, I also got a sunny citrus with chia seeds. The sunny citrus drink was incredibly good! I finished every sip. Chia seeds were a nice touch. The holiday magnet is super cute. It is a red cup along with a blue cup from Luckin Coffee. The ambience was very casual with nice wooden and leather furniture. The whole coffee shop had marble flooring black walls with long wooden planks as its ceiling. It looked very elegant and nice to sit in and chill with the coffee. The one thing I did not like was that it was very crowded when I went. All the tables were occupied and I had to wait for a table to be opened. Luckily it opened up in a few minutes. Otherwise, the place was very nice and clean.
Introducing... Luckin Coffee, a Chinese retail coffee company~ In China, Luckin overtook Starbucks by revenue and store count! They expanded in the US this past summer with their first locations in Manhattan. So it's safe to assume they're successful for good reasons... They set themselves apart from other coffee chains through... *Creative drink options - Other than your classic espresso beverages, they also offer fruit-infused cold brew, dessert-inspired lattes, Kyoto matcha, wellness juices, etc. *App/tech-driven ordering systems - All orders/payments are done through the mobile app, which offers the convenience of a rapid pick-up experience. *Affordability - They're just as affordable as their competitors and constantly offer weekly/daily discounts, new client deals, and referral bonuses. You can get a drink for nearly $1-$3! For this Elite Experience, we were able to get any 2 regular drinks. Ordering through the app was quick and easy. There's many customization options (method of extraction, type of roast, # of shots, milk base, temperature of milk, toppings, syrups). My order was ready within a few minutes at the pick-up counter. They gave me a holiday magnet - how cute! This location is small with limited seating - only a few tables and a communal bed sofa. I ordered the... *Hot Coconut Milk Latte - This is the #1 best seller, so I had to try it out. It was a little too milky for me. The ratio of milk to espresso might've been too high... The coconut milk added a creamy and silky texture with a subtle nutty aftertaste. I just wish the espresso was stronger. *Pineapple Cold Brew - A perfect drink for the summer! I wasn't sure if pineapple and coffee would go together, but hey... it's not bad at all! They use fresh pineapple juice and pulp - no artificial syrups. It was sweet, tangy, and well balanced with the bold flavor of the cold brew. I recommend trying this if you want a refreshing, citrus-y twist on coffee. I didn't love both of the drinks, but I didn't hate them either. They were both solid choices. I would come back to try more on the menu! My only complaint is ordering through the app... I understand that they prioritize speed, high volume, accuracy, and profit over ambiance and personalized service. Luckin Coffee, originally out of Bejiing, has made it way the US - with several locations opening in NYC! Luckin Coffee has over 26,000 locations in China, making it the country's largest coffee chain - as they enter the US market, they're expected to take on Starbucks...and it's easy to see why given their extensive menu of sweet, more dessert-like coffee drinks, from Coconut Lattes, Velvet Latte, the Iced Kyoto Matcha Latte, various fruity cold brews like the Coconut or Pineapple Cold Brew. And, of course, what would it be without seasonal offerings, like a Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte or Grape Fizzy Americano. For this special event, we were provided a promo code to try Luckin coffee, with a promo code valid for 100% off two drinks. The app downloaded just fine (there's no cashiers in store, you simply download the app, place your order, and show them your number to pick up in store). The location at 1375 Broadway was super busy when I visited around 1pm on Wednesday in early December, and the waittime after ordering my drink was a solid 12-15 minutes. That said, their system is super organized... They have several people working, and drinks coming out quickly. Once your drink is ready, they scan a ticket into a barcode scanner on their side, which tells you your drink is ready for pick up (if you aren't there waiting). Then, when you pick up your drink, you scan again a pickup barcode from your app to confirm you've picked up your order. I got a simple Iced Latte with Oat Milk, which is a fairly standard coffeehouse drink - and per the app, it runs just $5.75. I'm not usually one for sweeter drinks - unfortunately, their oat milk was on the sweeter side, making is closer to Starbucks and less like other more simpler coffeehouses. I did, however, appreciate the offerings they provide and their efficient systems. Thanks so much to Katey G and the Luckin Coffee team for this experience. They're continuing to open rapidly in NYC and I'm sure one will be open near you, soon, if you're in the NYC metro area.

I got their wellness series (originally $7.95 each): - Vital Kale (kale, grapes, apples, and chia seeds) - Sunny Citrus (orange, carrot, and apple). My Vital Kale was missing chia seeds but overall still tasted good - not amazing bc drinks were a bit watered down for my liking. Still nice to try! Clean store with plenty of seating. Thank you!
I would like to thank Katey G., the Yelp team, and the Luckin Coffee team for this experience. This was my first time visiting Luckin Coffee. I'd known about the brand for a while, but have not had a chance to try it until now. This location is near Times Square. It was quiet when I arrived, though there were plenty of mobile orders that were laid out on the counter for pickup. There was a QR code system for retrieving your drink which was quite interesting and very organized. I ordered the Kyoto Matcha Coconut Latte, the Zen Berry, and the Raspberry Cold Brew. The wait for my drinks was about 5-6 minutes. The app was easy to navigate, and I liked how organized everything felt. I also received a holiday magnet--super cute! The Kyoto Matcha Coconut Latte was okay. It didn't stand out to me, and it was a bit sweet for my taste, but I was still able to finish. I think I might have liked it better hot. My partner tried the Raspberry Cold Brew and didn't enjoy it, as it was too sweet for him. I did really enjoy the Zen Berry. It wasn't too sweet, and the chia seeds were a nice addition. I would love to try more drinks on the menu in the future.
Luckin Coffee has been hyped up due to their popularity and success as an affordable coffee chain in China. I finally got to try it. Their full price isn't much different from other drink shops but there are always deals. Ordering is only done through the app. The cafe was small and cute. Service was quick. I got a wellness drink, which comes in a cute bottle, and a refresher drink (solar breeze). I also got a free magnet for ordering two drinks (holiday promo). The solar breeze is a blood orange juice with some pulp. Pretty good, tastes a bit like grapefruit. The citrus wellness drink tasted a bit too diluted. The sugar and ice levels can be adjusted. Thanks to Luckin and staff for the drinks! I'm eyeing the creme brulee latte next!
This shop makes it so seamless to order drinks! The app is great and has all the customization options you could want. They have several tempting drink flavors and offer a bunch of coupons and discounts, including a first drink for $1.99. I tried the iced Kyoto matcha coconut latte. I love that you can order it without ice so it doesn't get watery from the melting. The drink was very milky and the matcha taste was subtle. I didn't taste any coconut at all. I ordered my drink with whipped cream, but it didn't have any on top. When you order with the app, you can pick up straight from the counter by looking for your order number, which is very efficient. The shop itself is fairly small with just 3 or 4 tables. They have a handful of locations throughout the city so it could be a nice alternative to Starbucks for coffee lovers.
Was able to get my 2 drinks. I got a matcha coconut latte and a matcha frappe. Both were kyoto matcha powders which have more of a bitter matcha flavor. The drinks were great and i even got a holiday magnet! Ordering was easy and it took less than 5 minutes. Since I work in the area this will be a placefor me to stop by and get drinks.
Very spacious and empty when I went around 7pm on Friday! I felt like it was a bit slower than other locations getting my drink but was still fast. My friend and I got the kyoto matcha coconut latte and matcha frappe. I thought my matcha was fairly light but we unfortunately did not taste any matcha in hers.. It was just all coconut flavor ): A bit disappointing and seeing other reviews it seems like it's not a consistent experience for people. Would love to taste both matcha and coconut! Ordering on the app was extremely easy. I ordered 10 minutes before I arrived and my order was ready and waiting for me. Pick up was easy I just had to scan my bar code and the staff handed me my drinks. I ordered the coconut latte with coconut milk and it was really delicious. The coconut wasn't overpowering and delicious. I also got the strawberry cloud frappe for my little one and she really enjoyed it. The plus is they do not charge extra for milk substitutes. We also got a free magnet for ordering 2 drinks on the app. Location is in close proximity to Times Square.
Happy to be introduced to this Asian coffee chain! I got the kale juice and the coconut matcha latte -- and I lowered the matcha flavor to one pump, as it's a syrup. I thought this balanced the flavors better, as it was a bit more coconut forward! If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back. I like the convenience of app ordering, and I imagine they will have other coupons and discounts. The tops of the drinks are thoughtfully made! The flap is the nicest flap in a coffee drink I've seen. It may be very minor, but it made the drinking experience much more enjoyable.

I just had to order via the app and was able to use the code to get 2 drinks for free! Pick up simply scanning the QR code once the app told me the order was ready. They also had a promotion for a free holiday magnet right now with purchase of 2 drinks. With the chilly weather, I ordered the kyoto matcha latte with oatmilk and had requested it to be warm. All I can say is wow, they got the temperature of the drink perfect so that I could drink it right away. I didn't change any of the sweetness levels or matcha amount and it tasted just right to me. It had the perfect ratio of sweetness to matcha flavors. I also tried the mango cloud frappe. The sourness of the grapefruit pulp contrasted well with the sweetness of the mango slush. This drink was blended so well that it was almost the consistency of a thick smoothie. It looks like they always have drink deals so I'll be back soon!
Had been hearing about this chain and appreciated the chance to try it for free via Yelp (though as others have pointed out, Luckin's new user promo allows you to get a drink for $1.99 anyway). Still, free is free! I got the signature coconut latte and thought it was tasty, if nothing too special. I brought my friend along, and she liked her coconut matcha. The app ordering system is super fast, and this location had my drink ready within minutes!

I know I am late with the review, but still, better late than never! I heard that the Luckin Coffee is like the Starbucks of China, and that there are everywhere there just as we have Starbucks everywhere here. I downloaded the app, which was pretty easy to use. I decided to get 1 hot and 1 cold drinks. The first one was their seasonal special, Toffee Hazelnut Latte. It was a bit different from the marketing image, only because they had to put the lid on top, making it to look more flat-shape on top. It had caramel drizzle, and quite sweet. A bit too sweet for me, but I did order toffee flavored drink... The second choice was Kyoto Matcha Frappe. It was smooth with real matcha flavor which has that slight bitter flavor. I really enjoyed this one. The inside was roomy and spacious, clean and modern. The staffs were polite and they ensured to check everyone's order before a customer picked up the drinks, which was good. I am glad I could try their drinks, thank you so much Yelp, Katey, and Luckin Coffee for this tasty event! read more

First time trying their Wellness Series! I got the Zen Berry without chia seeds and a regular Decaf Latte with Oat Milk, since it was already evening time. The Latte was personally not something I enjoyed as much. Perhaps the roast wasn't for me. The Zen Berry, however, was surprisingly pretty good! I'd probably order this again or try their other Wellness Series bev. Interesting how they brew the bevs from a machine that does everything for the barista, so not sure how much "coffee making skills" is needed, but always intrigued by new tech! Thanks Katey for the event! I've been to Luckin Coffee before at their 28th & 6th location and loved their coffee so couldn't wait to try more at 37th & Broadway. This time I ordered Velvet Latte and Spanish Latte. Both had added milk base so silky smooth milky to the taste. Personally, I liked the Iced Spanish Latte more as it had more flavor. My favs are still Caramel Popcorn Latte, Toffee Hazelnut Latte, and Pineapple Cold Brew. I also added a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissant where the bread pleasantly surprised me being more of a buttermilk biscuit texture - warm and delish! This location was a bit more spacious inside with seating and some small tables available. I appreciate their unique flavors, seasonal menu, app only approach, neat high tech coffee machines, and affordability! They often have specials and coupons on their app. For the holidays they are giving free magnets with orders - nice touch to continue growing their brand in the US. Great event! the app was super easy to use once it was up and working, and the app is transparent and accurate about order readiness. I tried the hot coconut latte; didn't get a strong coconut taste, nor did i get a strong (good) coffee taste, but prices are definitely cheap here! Hello, all! I went in earlier today, to pick up my Spanish latte. While - overall - it was a pleasant experience and a delicious drink, I guess it left me feeling a little lonely. I'm not someone who lives alone - and in fact, I'm usually with another person or people - but I suppose that I do value personal interaction when I'm out and about. While perfectly professional, the young man at the counter perhaps said four words to me (while I was there)...if I'm not mistaken, "Hello (and then once I physically held my order after he pointed to it and I scanned my QR code), you're all set!" I get that, in many cases, "brevity is the art of wit," but what concerns me about these totally app based business models is that they squeeze the humanity out of what could be a friendlier human experience. The original coffee shops, even before they got to the States, were places of art, conversation, new friends and personal and public debate. This was good for political discourse, among other things. Now, to be honest, it feels like picking up a cup of coffee is purely transactional. Don't get me wrong: I'm so grateful for my hot beverage, and it tasted good. But real, in person human interactions are what truly make us feel "warm and fuzzy." : ) The place felt new and clean, the coffee was, indeed, made and delivered in an efficient way and - to be fair - the employees didn't look stressed out, which is good for them. Yet, I wonder if Luckin' Coffee can train their people to compensate a bit more for the solely tech-based way, in which they run their enterprise and systematically save time. I don't like the idea that you have to download an app to order. This seems like a commitment to me and they might not be a place I order from regularly. They may be expanding rapidly but until they come further uptown they won't be a go-to coffee place. The store was very busy when I went in to pick up my order! I was a little unsure how to priced at first since the scanner was blocked by people. Once I scanned I was handed my drinks and asked if I wanted a holder. Added bonus was a holiday magnet they were giving away with an order o I ordered two of the holiday drinks - toffee hazelnut latte and caramel popcorn latte. I enjoyed both. They both had a sweetness which I like. The popcorn had a bit of a nutty flavor. Smelled delicious too! read more

Pretty cool spot. There's not a lot of seats in here, so expect to just grab and go. The CCP probably figured out they don't want too many artists bumming around on laptops for the free wifi writing competition to deepseek. All jokes aside, their drinks are pretty impressive. I got a matcha latte which was very good. There were some big ice chunks, so maybe the blender needs to be on longer. The app is pretty cool and there's lots of sales. I'll have the magnet on my fridge for sure read more
I was super excited to try Luckin coffee! I had visited later in the day so I didn't get to try the coffee and we opted for the iced Kyoto matcha! The app is super easy to use and there are pictures with sugar and levels of sweetness which I really appreciate. It was so cold and they were still so good. A really decent amount of matcha and we picked almond milk and oat milk. Look at the cute holidays sleeves! The only thing I would change next time as a personal preference would be less scoops of agave syrup - it was just slightly too sweet as a default. read more
Though downloading the app, ordering and customizing my drinks, and picking them up was pretty easy, I can't recommend the business. I am not a fan of a business that requires you to download their app in order to be their customer as it just seems like a way to gather more customer info. I may have been able to get past this for great coffee, but unfortunately I wasn't impressed. It's disappointing that there was no mocha on the menu, but there were options to add chocolate to a cappuccino, but it didn't really work and also was cold by the time I got it to work so I don't think that it started out very hot. My oat latte was better, but nothing to write home about. read more
Awesome opportunity to try this new coffee chain. I went to the location near herald square. The interior is nice and sleek. There is not much seating - 3 small tables that seat 2 and 2 larger tables. You can order in person or via their app. We tried the iced matcha latte and the iced caramel latte. I was impressed by the matcha - most matcha places don't put enough matcha in but they really delivered on the matcha flavor with their matcha latte. It also had a touch of sweetness. The iced caramel latte was also good but very sweet with lots of whipped cream - more of a dessert/treat situation to me. Overall, enjoyed the experience! read more
We got the iced Kyoto matcha coconut latte, which is probably one of their most popular drinks. The coconut milk wasn't too overpowering when mixed with the matcha and I was pleasantly surprised by how good these tasted together. You order through the app, which makes it easy and efficient. This is definitely one of the more affordable coffee/drink options in the city. They always have coupons or deals in their app. read more

I had a seamless experience at Luckin - it was very easy to order my drinks and pick up. I had the sunny citrus and zen berry. Both of the drinks were very refreshing. The entire process was so quick and easy and the staff was super nice! read more

I didn't expect much to be different than a typical phone order and pick up but I love the little difference with this luckin coffee pick up vs Starbucks. I like how my status updated reasonably better stages and adjusted for delay in the final time. Often I feel other apps go from ordered to completed and you guess the time wrong because of the jump. It was also nice scanning a QR code at pick up so there's a customer interaction confirmation. I often wonder and worry if my drink will get take. When doing pick up. The biggest highlight, I walked 6 or so blocks before work to get these, had both hands full where I had to at one point stack them on each other and the stopper was very good, no spill at all! The app is easy to use. It's simple and fast. I ordered one hot drink and one cold drink. HOT: Spanish Latte - I ordered their standard recipe with a change of oat milk. I was a bit disappointed with this drink because it was not as smooth velvety as advertised. It was watery (diluted with too much water) COLD: iced Kyoto Matcha Latte - This one was delicious, I strongly recommend this drink. For someone who isn't crazy about matcha. I really enjoyed this drink. One important thing is... I love the lid of the cup. It keeps your drink hot/warm. Thank you Yelp and Luckin for hosting this Elite Experience! read more
This was a very pleasant experience! Ordering from the app was quick and easy and there are surprisingly so many options to choose from. For this visit, I got two hot drinks, the velvet latte and the pumpkin cinnamon latte. I absolutely loved the taste and texture of the velvet latte and will definitely come back to try the iced version. Ordering through the app was super easy and they made the drinks quick! Friendly staff as well. I got the iced coconut latte and the iced toffee hazelnut latte. The toffee hazelnut was on the sweeter side, but I appreciate how the drinks are customizable. Would come back if I'm in a rush and just need a quick, inexpensive pick me up. read more
Thank you Luckin Coffee, Yelp and Katey G. for arranging this event. It was a great opportunity to try Luckin Coffee's coffee. It's a nice modern setup for the seating. It was easy to order with their app, which is the only way to order at Luckin Coffee since the barista informed people you can't order at the counter. Chose their Kyoto Matcha Latte and Regular Latte, both with Oatmilk. While the Regular Latte was good, enjoyed the Matcha one the best of the two. Unclear that the Matcha Syrup was sweetened, so next time I'd prefer my Matcha and all my beverages unsweetened. Was laughing because it was a little windy outside and every time the door opened my napkins flew all over the place. Had to anchor them down with my cups! Luckin Coffee is a popular coffee brand in China and there was quite a bit of hype when it first came to the US. I've always been wanting to try this spot, but I'm glad I got to try for free through Yelp! The whole ordering process was thru the app. I was quite surprised to find that they didn't even allow in-store ordering options. But I guess it's the new way of doing things. For me, it was fairly quick process. I got my drink quick. There was another QR code scanning process when you pick up the drink which adds time. But I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind. I liked that this location has seating. So, my friend and I got to hang around after to sip our drinks. I personally got the new holiday drink toffee hazelnut drink. I enjoyed it. I did taste the hazelnut flavor. It was a solid drink, but nothing that I haven't tried. My friend got the kyoto matcha, but she didn't love the matcha taste that this drink offers (which she usually loves matcha in general). In general, it was nice to try. read more

I've been hearing about Luckin Coffee so much since they arrived and they're expanding like crazy! I'm glad I can try the hype. I only tried the kyoto matcha latte but thought it was overall okay. It was also on the sweeter side for those who like that. I wish I also tried their coffee but that's a topic for another day! Overall the ordering process was super easy and the staff was so kind. I've tried Luckin Coffee a couple times before-- the main draw of Luckin Coffee is definitely the price over the quality. When you order on the app, there is almost certainly going to be a discount on your drink which will make your latte, matcha, etc less than $5-- an almost unheard of price in NYC today. I've tried a couple of their drinks before, and I unfortunately already knew that I do not like their coffee drinks or their matchas. There's something about the coffee that tastes very bitter to me, and their matcha is somewhat artificial. That being said, I knew I wanted to try something else for this event, and I went with the pineapple cold brew and the zen berry wellness drink. I was very skeptical about the pineapple cold brew, that that proved to be correct-- it is somewhat refreshing, but after a few sips I really didn't find the combination to be appetizing. It comes together to form somewhat of a dumpster fire in your mouth. I had to toss it. However, that zen berry drink? ABSOLUTELY delicious. It was so so refreshing, tasting like a fresh juice. With the chia seeds, there was a bit of texture as well. I love love loved this drink and would absolutely go back to Luckin just to get it. Thanks to Katey and Luckin Coffee for the event! read more
It's a Japanese- and Arabic-inspired coffee and tea spot that serves rich, full-flavored drinks without the excessive sweetness you get at places like Kung Fu Tea. I mention Kung Fu Tea because it's probably the closest competitor in the Chinesse-style brewing space. The shop itself is very small and has a mature, understated vibe. You'll most likely need to take your drink to go. I ordered the hot matcha coffee and the iced caramel latte. They were on sale for $1.99 each through the app, but since I'm a Yelp Elite member, I got both for free. Even at full price, though, the value is excellent--you definitely won't regret your order. read more

I was so excited to try Luckin Coffee because I've been seeing them everywhere and when I saw that there was a Yelp Elite event, it was the perfect time to try. I ordered on a Saturday morning and my drink was ready right away. The app is a little overwhelming to navigate, the UI made things feel really busy, but I was able to check out seamlessly. I ordered an iced crème brûlée latte and I noticed on the app there was no option to adjust the syrup (if that's what they use, idk) amount. I figured it would be a sweeter coffee but it was SO sweet. I also don't know what "velvet milk" is and I wish they put a description, something about my coffee tasted very off... almost sour? Unsure exactly but I only drank half of it because it was too artificially sweet and something did not taste right. The staff was fine but not super friendly and didn't acknowledge when I thanked them for my drink. Don't know if I would come running back but it's fairly decently priced. read more

I've been seeing Luckin Coffee pop up everywhere in New York, so was super excited to have the chance to try! Thank you to Yelp, Katey G., and the Luckin team for this opportunity. So the biggest difference between this cafe and any other coffee shop is they are mobile only, which means you have to download their app to order. The ordering process is pretty easy, but noticed it was a deterrent for some people who wandered in looking for coffee. The workers were super sweet and friendly, and I learned Luckin is planning on opening up to 20(!) locations in New York next year. The space itself is cozy with both couch and table seating, and I ended up taking a little break there while I enjoyed my coffee. I ordered the Creme Brûlée latte, which was creamy, sweet, and delicious. I also got a coconut matcha to-go, which had a good coconut flavor. They're famous for their coconut latte, so that's next on my list to try! Since I got two drinks it also came with a cute holiday magnet. :) read more
Easy to order via the app and love that you can adjust ice and add chia seeds or remove chia seeds from your drink. Very customizable. I got the sunny citrus with chia seeds and a hot Kyoto Matcha coconut latte. Love that they have a wellness series. Great to get some vitamin c in for the day. Sunny citrus wasn't too sweet however it does taste slightly watered down. Overall decent drink. I have had the vita kale drink before. I think I like the flavor of that one a little more than sunny citrus. Since today was kind of chilly, I got a hot Kyoto Matcha coconut latte. Drink was creamy/frothy. I had tried the iced version in the summer before. I do recommend get the iced version over the hot one. It just tastes better in my opinion but hot version is still a great drink especially in this weather. read more
First time a Luckin and I really see the tech enablement difference between China and the US. I found the app based ordering easy but had multiple people stop in after shopping at the herald square Macy's holiday market turn away because they didn't want to order via an app. Overall great event, the coffee was good, and even though it was free this time, the prices were so low I'd be willing to come back. Nice little seating area too. read more
