I love pizza and I'm a big enthusiast of vegetarian/vegan food, so why not have both?! This place is the perfect answer to that. I came in the evening after work and easily found a parking space in the garage. And shout out to that parking validation, because that garage gets expensive VERY quickly, whew! I was immediately greeted when I walked inside and was able to pick my own table to sit at. There were some community tables, but I opted for a solo table. I was quite intrigued with the pizza options. There were quite a few options that didn't have tomato sauce, and I have had pizza in the past without it and found myself missing it a lot. Despite that, I decided to be adventurous and went with the Truffle pizza -- cashew cream, mushrooms, kale & lemon vinaigrette. First of all, I love their crust. It is light and had a delightful texture. The cashew cream was so delicious, I didn't miss the tomato sauce at all! And I loved the spritz that the lemon vinaigrette added to the pizza overall. They said it was one of their most popular ones, and I see why! That was very very good. I got the Camp Alden -- Campari, carrot-infused mezcal, carrot simple syrup and sweet vermouth -- as my drink. It was bitter, it was smoky, but that hint of carrot was so interesting!! That was indeed a unique drink and I was happy to have it. All in all, I'm ready to bring my vegan sister and fam to Double Zero ASAP. I really enjoyed everything I had and I'm looking forward to having more. I gotta get that Tiramisu! read more

Came here as a Yelp Elite perk. We were informed by our CM that due to the parking issue in downtown Baltimore, we were offered parking validation from Double Zero for $5 when parking in the adjacent garage located at 414 Light St. We parked and took the elevator down to the ground level and walked out and directly to the right was Double Zero. We were greeted by Dominique, who was pleasant and told us, because we were the only party at that time, to sit where we wanted. The atmosphere was good, with top 40 music playing over the sound system. We were given food and beverage menus. With the Elite perk, we could get any entree and cocktail from the menu. I chose the Tall Sails, which was made with tequila, pineapple, coconut cream, lime juice and agave syrup. It was SO tasty, like a clean Pina Colada. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, made with tomatoe, Calabria chili, cashew mozzarella, and agave and the baked meatballs with macadamia ricotta and marinara. Both arrived pipping hot.The meatballs were covered in a marinara sauce that tasted as if it was slow cooked for a minute. On the first bite of the meatball, you knew it was plant-based because of the texture, but those flavors were everything! Nice, smoky onion and other spices along with beans and grains (I believe) made up the meatball and it was quite tasty. The pizza was good, topped with the chili flakes to give it a spicy punch. The sauce and cashew cheese were really good, too. Who knew plant-based foods could be so good. This was a welcomed surprise. All in, Double Zero has definitely secured a place in my restaurant rotation and also serves as a suggestion to my friends who are vegan and looking for a place that does plant-based cuisine right. read more

I was overjoyed to see offered a YES pizza event for people with crazy allergies like me!! You mean to tell me there is somewhere I can go to get gluten free crust and dairy free cheese? Sign me up! I was very thankful that we were offered discount parking for this event. My parking bill went from $18 to $5 in 2 seconds! When I entered the establishment I was greeted immediately by Carrie. This establishment is gorge and comfy. Beautiful restaurant and bar view. High top seating as well as regular dining seating. Great view of kitchen and sister restaurant. I was able to sit down at the seat of my choice and I was greeted by Angela who assisted me with a paper menu and took my order shortly after. I ordered... - Pepperoni w Gluten Free Crust - Harbor Lights (Cachaca, Cointreau, Gold Rum, Yerba Mate Simple, Grapefruit, Lime) - Baked Meatballs My food came out within 10 minutes. The pizza was picture perfect! I loved the crust and the flavor was pretty intense. My beverage was amazing! It was still smoking when it arrived to table and continued to smoke in flavor throughout the rest of visit. I really really enjoyed my beverage! The meatballs... I was a little confused on the texture and flavor. Definitely not my favorite there. I think it's the texture that really threw me off. It was really really mushy like oatmeal mushy that's that ... yeah that's all I have on that 1. I would definitely return back in the future for a beverage and appetizer. This was by far the best yelp elite experience I have had. After seeing that Double Zero was a bit more upscale then our usual neighborhood place I decided to use the opportunity as a date night. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the staff was very friendly and we picked a table in the corner where we could have a little privacy. The space looks very nice and you can see through to the connected (even fancier) restaurant next door. I started off with a 'Camp Alden' cocktail. I wanted something not too sweet and something that I could savor and enjoy. Drinks there are a bit pricy so I really wanted to get something that felt 'worth it'. After speaking with a server, they recommended the Camp Alden and it was the PERFECT call. Very smokey, a hit of sweetness, huge pile of flavor. On top of the drink itself being great, it was served with a toasted citrus slice on the rim that added to the smoky flavor. Next up we had an order of the Pizzaiola. Didn't really know what to expect and were a bit taken aback when a gigantic half-head of cauliflower showed up. I was a bit trepidatious as I usually find roasted cauliflower to be a bit underwhelming, but it was served with a very tasty tomato sauce that packed in a ton a flavor. Just as we were finishing our Pizzaiola, our Artichoke pizza showed up. I should have said earlier, but I'm not a huge veggie guy. I eat a lot of garbage, and while I try to eat healthy sometimes, a veggie pizza is rarely my go-to order. Look at the picture of this pizza. It was insane. So tasty, crust was amazing. I know I'm not doing a great job describing it, but you will NOT be disappointed. After the pizza we paid the bill and headed out. After having the pizza it was so good that we both wished we had ordered two pizzas instead of the cauliflower. Nothing against it, it was great for what it was, but the pizza was killer. After the whole experience, the only negative thing I have to say is a minor quibble about the tables. Matte black tables look awesome, but as soon as anything drips on them they look gross. We shared all of our dishes and the pizza slices were so large that they hung over our plates and dropped bits on the table. This was a very cool experience with unique food - a great way to try something different! My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night. We did not need a reservation but I used Opentable - and for those of you who collect points, you get 1,000 for dining here!? Usually you get 100... so highly recommend doing that. They validate parking for $5 (a discount of about $11+) so if you park in the garage, don't forget to ask the hostess to validate. Our waitress was great and took the time to answer all questions and explain more about the dining experience. They had an extensive cocktail menu, and I wanted to try something different so I went with the Camp Alden which has house made carrot infused mezcal! It was smoky, fresh/veggie, with a little bite. I thought it was cool and different! For appetizers we got the Cesar salad and meatballs. The Cesar was great - I would not have been able to tell it was not real dairy! Truly tasted like a regular Cesar salad. The wood fired croutons were delicious. I wish there had been something else in it like slivered almonds or something to replicate fresh shaved parmesan, but overall very good. The meatballs had a good flavor but they were not very structural. After cutting through once they fell apart into a ground "beef" blob. I wonder if there is a way to get them to be more fibrous like a Beyond Meat texture. The marinara sauce was good too! These were overall ok, I didn't think they were a must have. For dinner we had the artichoke pizza and the eggplant calzone. The pizza was my least favorite. I would not really call it a pizza, but a veggie flatbread is a better way to think about it. The dough was great, but the garlic cream, used as the base instead of cheese, was bland. The balsamic gave it some more flavor and all the veggies were fresh. It was just ok. The calzone on the other hand was delicious! I also would not have really known this was vegan without someone saying. The dough was great, it was HUGE and fully stuffed. Definitely recommend this. The menu itself I found to be pricey for having no meat and cheese. The prices were comparable to regular gourmet pizza, which I feel is too high for just veggies. That said, the location is right in the inner harbor in a high rise building so I assume you pay a premium for that. The whole experience was great experience and definitely something different. The restaurant is attached to another vegan place called Liora, our waitress brought us the menu to look and I would definitely try that another time! Wow! This is truly a 100% vegan based facility! I am extremely impressed! From the ambience, to the customer service, to the actual food itself. I am very thankful to have new businesses open during this pandemic. Everyone was wearing a mask and the facility looks so clean! There are so many pizza places in the federal hill area and they all serve the same type of pizza. This is the only place that sells truly organic and vegan pizza and I'm not even vegan and it was truly delicious! Even the cocktails are vegan friendly. Double Zero is located right by the Inner Harbor and Baltimore Visitors Center. Upon entering, I felt a very modern, upscale-vibe. I ordered the Truffle and Pepperoni pizza with the Rooftop Garden and Tall Sails cocktails. The truffle pizza was amazing. The wild mushrooms gave an earthy, savory flavor to compliment the richness of the cashew cream. The server did warn me that the pepperoni pizza was spicy, but as a person who grew up eating spicy all my life, it sounded perfect for me. There was a kick from the chili in the pizza, which I really enjoyed. I did not really like the hint of sweetness from the agave. The crust on both pizzas was the perfect balance between crispy and fluffy. I enjoyed the tropical flavors of the Tall Sails. It reminded me of a lighter, less rich version of a piña colada-flavored margarita. The Rooftop Garden cocktail had the freshness and earthiness from the cilantro and mint, with a nice hint of spice from the ginger. This was definitely a unique blend of ingredients that worked well together in a cocktail. Overall, Double Zero has great vegan food and cocktails. If you're not interested or don't like pizza, they also offer pastas, salads, and calzones. In my opinion, the prices were on the higher end, so I don't see myself coming here often. However, they are very environmentally conscious here. The straws and takeout containers were made of recycled material. I was pleasantly surprised with this perk! Pizza is one of my favorite foods so I was very interested to try the plant based approach. Our waitress gave us lots of recommendations to choose from. We ordered the baked meatballs as an appetizer that were flavorful. For the entree we ordered the Truffle and Pesto pizzas. I am a mushroom lover, it's a topping I always get on pizza and this did not disappoint. I wasn't sure how to feel about cashew cream but it really tasted similar to a ricotta cheese. I really enjoyed it. The pizza has crispy crust and I loved that it's made in a brick oven. The pesto pizza was a tad lemony but if you love arugula that's the one for you. I had read reviews going in so I was already prepared to order the Truffle pizza and the War of the Roses cocktail. The pizza was delicious and I loved the cashew cream on it. It was a big sized pizza and I could only eat half so I'll be able to have leftovers for later. I haven't had too many gin cocktails I've enjoyed but wow, this looked and tasted amazing! What a great experience! I decided to take advantage of this Elite Experience on Monday as I have dubbed Mondays as "Meatless Mondays." I arrived sometime around 1:30 pm and was able to choose a seat anywhere I wanted. The server came over with menus and gave me some time to review the menu. This Elite Experience included a free entree and a free cocktail so I decided to get the Cicada Season and the Potato Pizza. Since I was curious about some other menu items, especially their drinks, I also got the Baked Meatballs and Seasonal Sagamore Mule. Both of my cocktails were amazing! I really enjoyed my food as well. When it comes to vegan food, you have to appreciate the creativity in how things are made. I really appreciated that the baked meatballs were soy free. The pizza was very thin but the crust was perfect! I really enjoyed my experience at Double Zero. To be honest, even if you're not into plant-based foods, you should definitely check them out for their cocktails. Apparently I'd passed by Double Zero a million times and never knew it was there! I was impressed by the ambiance on arrival. I was quickly seated and let the server know I was there for the Yelp perk. I scanned the QC code on the table for the menu and decided to go with a cocktail with a name I can't recall and the pepperoni pizza. Shortly thereafter, one of the most beautiful drinks was delivered to my table. It tasted just about as good as it looked. Before I'd finished the drink, my pizza came out. I doused it red pepper flakes and dug in. Overall, I liked the pizza, heck, I ate the entire thing, but I wasn't a fan of the "pepperoni". Next time I'd get the Margherita. The place is pricey, but the pizza was BOMB!! Even better than some non-vegan pizzas that I've had. I loved the truffle pizza - they did not skimp on truffle flavor, which I adored. The cashew cream had a creamier texture than cheese on a normal pizza, so that was noticeable, but flavor-wise, it wasn't too obvious and it was delicious. I liked the crusts as well on the pizza and the size was pretty good. Partner got the potato rosemary garlic pizza. This flavor was more subtle and less aromatic, but also very delicious. We enjoyed both pizzas thoroughly. Server was great too. For cocktail, we got the lifeguard (burnt orange, saffron liquor) - I hate alcohol so partner had it, and he liked it. It was such a small amount - hard to believe that it's only $3 cheaper than the entire $18 potato pizza for like 3-4 oz of a cocktail...but then again, I don't like to drink so alcohol never seems worth it to me. 5 stars for the event with the discount, but 1 star off because normal prices are a bit too steep for me personally for the quantity you get, but probably appropriate for a fancier date night. The waitress got us with the water - she asked if we wanted tap, filtered flat, or filtered sparkling. I've never been asked what type of water to order at a restaurant so taken aback and being naive, I asked for filtered flat. Turns out the 1L bottle cost $5! Wish that was disclosed somehow. I was so excited to try this place out as I've never had vegan pizza. Well it was amazing! I got the truffle pizza and the cashew sauce was delicious though I missed cheese a little bit. I got marinara on the side to dip in. I had the war of the roses cocktail which was one of the best cocktails I've had in months! The yuzu juice and lavender syrup added a special nuance. I had no problem with this pizza at all. The crust was one the best crust I've had with pizza. Im such a bread person! The truffle pizza was so good and it kinda tasted like it had meat on it. This has to be one of my favorite Elite events yet! Double Zero is in a prime location right on the Inner Harbor. The restaurant is upscale and has the perfect late night ambiance, and service is top notch. For my first time trying vegan pizza, the meatball calzone did not disappoint. The filling was savory, and the crust was smoky and the *perfect* texture. My mom and I split the calzone half and half, which was plenty for both of us. We topped it off with chocolate budino for dessert. This is definitely not your typical mousse, as they put a special twist on the flavors. I had such a great experience at Double Zero! My friend and I came here for dinner and were immediately impressed by the decor, ambiance, and service. To drink, I ordered the Lifeguard on Duty (charred orange infused saffron liquer, prosecco, and soda water). It was so tasty - I could taste the saffron and the char of the orange super clearly! We split the Truffle Pizza (cashew cream, wild mushrooms, tuscan kale, lemon vinaigrette) and the Sunflower Caesar (romaine, wood-fired croutons, almond parmesan). Both were insanely delicious - I could have easily eaten 3 bowls of the caesar salad. I'm going to admit, I was really skeptical about this months Yelp Elite Experience, never really incorporated plant based meals in my diet. But I'm always open to trying new things. I pass this place all the time when heading over to Fed Hill but never had the courage to stop in. Definitely was blown away by the really cute decor as well as the extensive wine wall full of organic wines. This months perk included a gluten free pizza along with a cocktail. I was completely blown away by their cocktail list, not to mention, there is not a lot of bars that offer Empress Gin 1908, and when I saw the War of the roses consisted of this gin. I was immediately sold. If you are not familiar with this gin, Empress 1908 is combination of exquisite taste, delicate aroma, soft texture, and remarkable presentation provide the perfect base for a new aesthetic of cocktail creation and enjoyment. For my pizza I kept it simple with the pepperoni. Which is served with tomato, Calabrian chili, agave and cashew mozzarella. I love spice and I love Calabrian chill's. I also added the arugula for that extra spicy, peppery kick, which was a nice touch. I also snagged baked meatballs to go. I will say this for everything to be a nut based meal, the food did not taste nuts, did not even realize it was plant based. The pizza crust was phenomenal, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Overall Plant Zero has changed my perspective on a plant based diet, and I wouldn't mind incorporating a few dishes into my diet for sure. My wife and I aren't comfortable dining in currently, and since Double Zero has no outdoor dining, we did takeout. We were super excited to try two of their cocktails, but sadly, they don't do cocktails to go (bummer). On the plus side, when I checked my receipt, Double Zero compted our side of meatballs for the cocktail we didn't get, so thanks, Double Zero! The pizza had a delicious crust - nice balance of char and chew. I should have listened to all of the reviews about how spicy the pepperoni was. My son was excited to try it, but it was too spicy and because it was crumbly, removing the spicy pepperoni meant basically wiping everything else off. The artichoke pizza was nice - good balance of briny artichoke hearts to cheese and sauce. I do want to come back and try some of those cocktails though! read more

Absolutely awesome new Vegan restaurant just across from the harbor! The dining room is open and airy with a combination of small, intimate tables as well as larger 8 seat tables for groups. They also have a second dining room with booths. Very well decorated and classy. I was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess. She seated me and took my drink order. They were transitioning from Manor Hill brewing to Suspended Brewing, which is a local Vegan brewery a few miles away in West Baltimore. I spoke to the owner and he had me try the Suspended Farmhouse Saison. Excellent! I then tried the basic Margarita pizza. Excellent flavor! You'd never know it was Vegan. To round it out, I had the Chocolate Budino. It's essentially a thick chocolate pudding with caramel and pistachio shavings. Out of this world! Check out the photos. I stopped in during the work day since i work just up the block so i didnt get a chance to imbibe but was offered a great non alcoholic option to go with my pizza. Do not let your prejudice against the word "vegan" stop you from visiting Double Zero!!! They are serving some bomb pizza that you will forget that you are even eating a plant-based pizza. I went with a couple of my friends so I could try different pizzas. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and the truffle pizza and the blanca pizza. First of all, the sizes of the pizzas are definitely shareable. Its about 12 inches in diameter and 2-pizzas were enough to feed the three of us. The meat balls definitely tasted like a vegan "meat" ball. The texture was too mushy and I felt like they could have used a better meat-substitute (soy protein or vegan beef grounds) instead of beans an quinoa. It was way too mushy for my liking. However, the flavor and the tomato sauce it came with was delicious. My favorite dish ordered had to be the blanca pizza. I also really like the truffle pizza, but the creaminess of the cheeses mixed with the little spice from peperoncino did it for me. I don't know what they do with the crust, but man, I ate EVERY little bit. I was not worried about consuming too much carbs, because it was one of the best pizza crusts I've had. In terms of my complementary cocktail, I ordered one of their new, seasonal drinks. I forget the exact name of the cocktail, but it was their version of a moscow mule. Not being a vegan i was somewhat skeptical of this place but it's a welcome change for Baltimore and brings veganism upscale. The restaurant itself is located at the bottom of a new high-rise luxury condo building and light Street in Baltimore. The concept is very open, fresh and inviting. We kept complementing the Decour and saying how much it didn't feel like a Baltimore restaurant. It's right next to another vegan restaurant and they share a window that you can see the bar next-door. As for the food itself we ordered the artichoke pizza and the eggplant Parmesan, upon recommendation from our waitress, who was very helpful and cheerful. She recommended that we order the eggplant Parm extra crispy, which I loved, but unfortunately ours was not very crispy. It definitely needed some more seasoning and in my opinion maybe a trip to the fryer ha ha! That being sad, it was a huge portion and we could have slit that one dish for dinner! The pizza toppings were great but i like my crust a little more substantial. This ate more like a flatbread than a traditional pizza crust. Again, a welcome change for Baltimore, but maybe not my favorite. The drinks were fantastic but $15 each so not an everyday cocktail. But they make most of the drinks non alcoholic which i LOVED since i don't drink. And then it was only $6 which was amazing! We got the war of the roses - lavender and sweet. So lovely and with pretty floral garnish. I was so excited to try this place. I have been eyeing the location for a while now. I came here on a Monday evening around 5-ish, I wanted to beat the rush. I was greeted by a server who told me I can sit anywhere, it was nice to choose your own seat. The waiter came over with both menus (pizza and cocktails). She told me I can choose any entree and a cocktail for the Yelp pass. I decided to just try the Margherita pizza and the cicada cocktail. I love Margherita pizza..... so of course, I had to choose that one. I decided on the Cicada cocktail due to the sweetness, however, it was not sweet at all. I also ordered the meatballs. The meatballs were the entire highlight of my entree. The pizza was okay but something was missing and I'm not sure what. The pizza is cut into four huge slices, I was only able to eat one slice lol. The cocktail was not good, it seemed to be watered down and it was not sweet. After an hour or so the place became busy, I think due to the Ravens game. Every time I go to a Yelp event, I always think it's one of the best I've been to (I mean, they're all amazing!), and this time was no different! I'm vegetarian so I was thrilled that a vegan restaurant was selected this time, and I think Double Zero is one of the best vegan spots in Baltimore. Double Zero generously offered attendees any pizza from the menu along with any drink/cocktail. I don't drink alcohol but I was excited that they were still able to make me a mocktail! I had just tried Liora next door recently (another vegan restaurant owned by the same chef) and that was excellent, so Double Zero was already next on my list and now I am equally impressed. The service was attentive and friendly, and the $5 parking validation for the neighboring garage made coming here a breeze! The number of plant based/vegan restaurants in Baltimore is growing, but this place is one of my favorites thus far! The service was impeccable and for being freshly made, the pizza came out so fast! The truffle pizza is made with cashew cream, wild mushrooms, and baby kale, topped with a lemon vinaigrette. The cashew sauce was incredibly creamy, the kale was roasted perfectly, mushrooms plentiful, and the vinaigrette was the perfect touch! The crust was super thin and crispy too. To be honest, I should've read the details of the restaurant because I had no idea everything was vegan. I got the war of the roses cocktail and it was so pretty I didn't want to drink it! It was so refreshing and very intriguing to watch the color change. The drink itself wasn't too sweet, wasn't too strong and it was perfect. I got the truffle pizza because I love truffle, and it was sooooooo good and I still find it so hard to believe that it is vegan! It was very mushroomy so for those who aren't big mushroom lovers beware but it was delicious. It had a crispy crust, loved the char from the oven, and was so flavorful. We ordered a pasta dish to balance the meal out since there were two of us. We got the cacio e pepe and it was amazing. It was lemony and peppery! Supposedly made out of a cashew sauce I still amazed it didn't taste like nuts. I came here with my boyfriend for my first yelp event ever and it did not disappoint! We both ordered two war of roses(5/5). They were delicious, beautiful, and definitely a very unique tasting cocktail. We ordered the potato pizza(4/5) and the bianca pizza(3/5). The potato pizza was by far my favorite, I loved the romsemary on it such a nice touch. I just wish there was a little more potato. We also ordered the chocolate budino(4/5) for dessert. I am dreaming about this dessert to this day. Definitely for chocolate lovers! I thought the chocolate budino itself tasted delicious. It didn't taste vegan and I don't mean that in a mean way its just with desserts you can taste when theres no dairy in them and I couldn't taste that with this one. I loved the orange zest on top it gave it a fresh flavor which was a nice compliment to the rich chocolate. My only complaint is that I think there should be more caramel and whipped cream with it. Our server was also so friendly and nice. It was hard to find the garage that they validate so my bf and I just settled on another garage where we spent $30 so just a warning try to find their garage because it makes a difference!!!! Overall we had a great time. I loved trying all the vegan options! I think this place is a little expensive though- our total with the free pizza and cocktail was like 60 which isnt that bad but without the discount it would have been almost 100. I don't mind paying for good food but I also think the portion sizes were pretty small. I was able to eat the whole dessert myself and my boyfriend and I finished two pizzas. I was so excited for this event! I love seeing vegan places coming to the Baltimore area. Vegan cuisine has always been of interest to me and I love seeing the growing interest! First off, the restaurant is absolutely stunning. It's modern & chic and really had a good vibe to it! Could definitely see future lunches with my friends here! The staff was very helpful & attentive as well. I ordered the truffle pizza and ginger beer and it was amazing!! I literally scarfed it down so fast. To start the drinks were excellent. war of roses is my all-time favorite drink it has the perfect balance of a sweetness and floral notes and it is just such a good tasting drink that I could drink it all day long. The Madame was not that great on its own because of the dill and peppercorn that would get into the straw, but it paired well with the pizzas because it has a more of a bitter flavor profile compared to war of roses. The pizzas were all quite good especially considering the fact that they're all vegan. My favorite was the truffle pizza followed by the pepperoni pizza. The truffle pizza had a really strong truffle flavor and tasted like a very good spinach and mushroom pizza. I couldn't tell that it was vegan. The pepperoni pizza gives a nice savory profile with a bit of added heat that was appreciated to provide some variety to our pizza selections. The Bianca was interesting but not my favorite because the many toppings made the pizza a bit soggier than I would have liked it. Overall I think this is a fantastic vegan pizza restaurants and I would recommend my friends both vegan and non-vegan to try it out. read more

I've never had plant-based pizza before but this experience definitely made me a fan! We ordered the truffle, eggplant calzone and the artichoke pizza. My favorite was the truffle pizza. It has arugula and mushrooms and was full of flavor. The crust was super light and fluffy and tasted exactly like flour dough. The eggplant calzone was also tasty! I'm not normally a fan of eggplant, but this entree was rich and I enjoyed every bite! I got the cocktail with bourbon, but it was just so-so. I am so ecstatic that we discovered this vegan pizza spot in Baltimore!! We tried their pepperoni and truffle pizzas and they were phenomenal! My favorite was the truffle pizza, it was so flavorful and savory. My husband preferred the pepperoni. I was so very excited to have this experience at Double Zero (having previously once gotten take out from Liora). I think ambiance is certainly part of the charm here, so was especially pleased with my experience at Double Zero (vs. Liora) since we got to enjoy the beautiful decor. I thought the pizza was yummy! It is more on the neopolitan type of pizza which I like (my SO does not care for it as much), so was happy to have some. I thought the Cacio e Pepe was the highlight of our meal -- I could not tell it was Vegan; it was extremely creamy and the pasta itself tasted fresh and delicious. My SO got a coffee (which according to him, 'it was fine!') and I got a mocktail which was very nice. There are a few kinks to work out with the service here - the drinks came out ~halfway through our meal and we had to wait a bit to get our bill settled up, but overall our waitress was a true sweetheart. It was so pleasant to interact with her and she gave us some great recommendations for what to get. Had a great 1st experience at Double Zero... grateful for the garage discount, as we had no luck finding street parking. Staff immediately greeted us at the door and allowed us to pick our own seating. Love the ambiance and decor - booth seats were comfortable and everything looked clean. Really appreciate the menu by QR code. Ordered the eggplant calzone - I found the topping to be a bit salty, crust was great, but the filling wasn't filling - I couldn't make out the eggplant. The pepperoni pizza was good - had a bit of spice - again, the dough was the star. I enjoyed my drinks - though they took a while to come out. Truly amazing vegan pizza --I got a pepperoni pizza for my friend and I and it was amazing! We've both typically gotten make-it-yourself vegan pizza from &pizza, but both said the flavor of the pre-determined vegan pepperoni pizza at Double Zero is so well-balanced with the vegan cheese and additional spices! We'll definitely be coming back --and I've already asked other vegetarian friends if they'd like to come with me next time I'm in the city! The one thing I will note tho is that the crust can feel very thick and less palatable. I do wish there was a thinner crust version because the toppings are phenomenal. OK, I'm not gonna lie, when I heard a vegan pizza my response might have been less than enthusiastic. Thanks to this amazing event I got to try it out and realize just how delicious this could be. Cashew cheese, who would've thought? I tried the potato pizza which came with cashew cheese, potatoes, and rosemary end it was absolutely delicious. I don't know if I would necessarily call cashew cheese cheese, but it served it's purpose well on the pizza and was seasoned perfectly. When it comes to cocktails they had a lot of delicious options but since it was a school night I went with the war of roses mocktail version. It usually comes with empress gin and I can only imagine how yummy that would make it! This is such a cute spot, and the staff are so incredibly sweet. My one bummer about it is that parking in the garage is so insanely expensive, 0 to 20 minutes is seven dollars and it only goes up from there... That is a little bit ridiculous. But even then, I know I'll be back to share my love of pizza with a few of my vegan friends to show them they don't have to be missing out. read more

Upscale vegan food that exceeds expectations even for someone like me who almost never eats at vegan restaurants (I'm allergic to cashews which are heavily used as a vegan substitute). I ordered the pesto pizza which was one of the few items that didn't have some kind of cashew substitute (although one can substitute cashew cheese with cheese made with rice) in addition to a root beer in lieu of a cocktail. I also ordered the pizza with gluten-free crust. At first glance it looked quite unappealing with the crust almost looking like concrete but none of that mattered once I started eating. The flavor was definitely different than traditional pizzas but still very appetizing in its own unique way and I enjoyed it very much. The greens and pesto were fresh, the macadamia nut ricotta wonderfully creamy and not too salty, and the crust was quite flavorful even if it was a bit too thick and chewy for my personal taste (I prefer crust paper thin like they do in Italy but that's quite rare in the USA so I didn't expect it here). I was also impressed by the ambiance and decor here, it is very clean, elegant, and upscale but also quite friendly and welcoming. The staff were wonderful and the service was prompt even though I made sure not to say I was here for the Yelp Elite event until I paid in order to not receive any special treatment. The only downside is there isn't any outdoor seating which is less than ideal during Covid but they do have quite a robust carry-out business. I was actually planning on doing carry-out but when I arrived I was the only customer there so decided to eat in instead. A few more people trickled in as the afternoon became evening but it still felt fairly safe. Overall I'd highly recommend for anyone, vegan or otherwise and even for people who have cashew/nut allergies - I didn't have any trouble so they definitely do what's necessary to avoid cross-contamination. read more
