Thank you Postino, Yelp, and CM Audrey L. for a yummy midweek "nightcap"! Staff was quite accommodating in letting me a sub a mocktail for wine, and the aptly named Mockingbird (Lyre's Dark Cane, Lyre's Italian Orange, pineapple, almond bitters) made an excellent complement to the Hot Donut Dots (housemade ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel, and vanilla glaze dipping sauces). Happy to discover that desserts here are just as tasty as the bruschetta boards Postino is more well known for!

Good vibes and cool ambience! Thanks Audrey and Postino's for a great experience and having us Elites in. We loved the open patio and being dog friendly. We started with Holly's Way chardonnay. Very smooth and good finish. I went with a chicken sandwich and salad. Both were good and id recommend. My wife had a half sandwich of prosciutto and bree and a bowl of loaded potato soup. She liked both. Then we had the doughnut dots. They rocked with the Carmel sauce. Nice place to hang eat and be merry.

Thank you Audrey and Postino Del Mar for hosting this Elite Experience! Surely the restaurant had that kind of vibe. The server's Alex and trainee (apologize forgot your name) were on top of it, not missing a beat to make your visit a great experience. Excellent customer service, as well as from the manager on duty, JD. My complimentary wine I selected was a sweet wine, a 2023 moscato, Italy... Fiore. Delish! For lunch I decided on a Prosciutto & Brie (prosciutto, Brie fig jam, arugula, balsamic vinegar and olive oil). It was quite delicious, it worked for me some may find it a tad sweet. Postino treated us again with a complimentary Hot Donut Dots! It was moist and tasty! My favorite dip sauce was the caramel. Thank you Postino for welcoming Yelp Elites to experience an Elite experience in your restaurant. This will not be my last visit here.

The wine-tender, Shay... Great service. Very personable and she hooked it up... We had the glass of wine and the donut holes... I had the Chardonnay and it was oaked and perfect. The donuts were good but nothing that spectacular... So this postino is one of my local spots (I'm the Yelp "duke" lol). I'm a wine club member and it definitely has it's benefits. The true way to max your $ here is go on Monday or Tuesday night after 8 and get a board of bruschetta and a bottle of wine for $30.. they also have happy hour every day until 5pm. $7 wine and the real deal is the pitcher of beer for $7 - it's one of those mini pitchers and you'll get 2.5 pints out of it. Btw the parking is in the big parking garage on the del Mar heights road side There's Tesla supercharging on the roof... Looking forward to the little Italy postino Yelp event. Haven't been to that one yet... Hope I get in... ;)

I love Postino! I've been raving about their bruschetta board since the last elite perk, and now I'm going to have to rave about their hot donuts too! Delicious, perfectly fried outside, so fluffy inside. It came with a trio of dipping sauces - caramel, sugar, and chocolate. Sugar was definitely my favorite. For the glass of wine, I chose the nonalcoholic rosé. It's delicious, lower calorie, and allows me to get a better workout in after to use up those extra donut calories. Thanks for the treat!!

Had a wonderful time visiting Postino again for this terrific event, and hanging out on their comfy patio with excellent heaters. Postino had promised a free glass of wine and their delicious donuts with three dipping sauces. I brought a friend along, and we added on: -A glass of Pinot for her -their very delicious brussels sprout salad minus the bacon -the cheeseboard And for my glass, I wanted something full bodied. They let me taste the Costa red blend, and then the Tempranillo which my Yelp friends Bridgette and Fernando had tried on their visit. Carly was a terrific server and said she prefers the Costa. But in fact my taste buds lined up with Fernando. The Tempranillo was very yummy and it was a generous pour. The cheeseboard varies but we really liked the current incarnation and how the cheeses were served. The whipped ricotta with spicy honey was our favorite. I love the vibes here, and it was so nice that Yelp and Postino Del Mar worked together to offer a great excuse to come out with a friend, and to get some freebies and splurge on more. Thanks so much, Audrey, Yelp, Carly, and Postino!!

Incredible Indian summer fall day so the patio was a must. I sat in a comfy couch seat in the shade and Alex immediately took my order with a smile. It took some time for the hot donut bites to arrive but I was enjoying the afternoon chatter and warm day and great music, which wasn't too loud so conversations could easily be had. The theee sipping sauces were fun; salted chocolate in the large section and a little bit of glaze and caramel. The chocolate was the best and just the right amount of salt, the glaze and subtle caramel sauces were good to have in between chocolate bites. Also, mix them all and enjoy that too!! I easily polished them all off and my tummy was smiling. I just love this space and the people and the menu. Absolutely delightful outing. Thank you Postino and Audrey for a joy filling experience!!

Thank you Postino, Yelp and CM Audrey for a wonderful and delicious midday treat! Great coastal California weather, and the perfect vibe for a Friday Eve Most definitely returning for an afternoon or evening date. Warm welcome from the staff, and the menu is very inviting.

POSTINO @ DEL MAR Parking is available in front of this restaurant, however it can get extremely limited and packed, I'd recommend to park across the street (next to Omomo / Steak 48) for free and available parking. I've been to Postino in Little Italy and in Del Mar, and have already enjoyed their food and drinks. The happy hour menu is one of my favorite parts. My friend and I got seated immediately, and we loved how the patio is a view of the road, and it was a great sunny day! We got the donuts, drinks, and a bruschetta board to share. Our server was very kind the entire dining experience. I really enjoyed the Prickley Pear Lemonade, it was on the sweeter side but was delicious. The donuts were incredible as well, soft and the sauces that came with was incredible. Smooth and had a sweet flavor. Overall, I had an incredible experience at Postino in Del Mar, it's always a great vibe in this area, and the service and food is incredible. Thank you to our incredible community manager Aubrey L for allowing me to share this experience!

The Yelp Elite deal was Hot Donut Dots and a glass of wine. Before jumping into the donut dots, we ordered lunch to go with a glass of Chardonnay (followed by a bottle, lol). My lunch was a half panini of prosciutto and Brie and a cup of potato soup. Hubby (Mark D) had Tuscan tuna and a mixed green salad, and fellow Yelper Elite friend, John M had the half Italian beef dip and Cesar salad. The wine was Holly's Way Chardonnay. And the hot donut dots! Be careful! With three sweet dipping sauces to choose from they are addicting! You really can't go wrong with the food and service here. Whatever you decide is sure to be a winner! Patio seating is dog friendly and there were several including ours who joined their owners to enjoy the lovely outside seating area. Thank you Audrey/Yelp and Postino for welcoming us in with this very generous offer of wine and Hot Donuts Dots.

I had an amazing experience at this event! My friend and I were seated right away and treated the second we walked in. They took us to our table outside and it had perfect people watching. I was driving, so I asked if I could substitute a glass of wine for a lemonade instead and the manager was very kind and let us both switch to a non alcoholic beverage. We got the Cucumber Honey Lemonade and the Prickly Pear Lemonade - they were more on the sweet side so I would recommend if you like sweet lemonades to try it but it can be a little much. However, they were nonetheless very refreshing on a hot day. The donuts were very crispy on the outside and soft, warm, and doughy on the inside. It comes with 3 different options for dipping sauces: Chocolate, caramel, and my favorite the glaze. The donut itself isn't very sweet which makes it perfect when you dip it! Very lovely event and a great excuse to hang out with friends! Thank you Audrey for the amazing experience today :)

Another great evening at Postino! From the time we checked in to the time we walked out the door the entire staff was helpful, friendly, and very personable. With our Elite Experience we got a glass of wine and their infamous hot holes. My daughter and I went and decided to grab a bit to eat as well. Food was delicious as always but alas.... we snacked too hard on our bruschetta and charcuterie boards and asked to take the donut holes home. Even reheated with the sauces (caramel, chocolate, and I believe a cinnamon type dip) they were amazing! Plenty of seating inside and out (with outdoor heaters and a fire pit as well since it was a chilly night). Great place to hang out and grab a bit and a drink or two. Thank you Audrey, Postino, and Yelp for another fantastically fabulous event!!!

Thank you to Audrey, Yelp, and Postino for a lovely evening. We were provided with a glass of wine of our choice and an order of the hot donut dots. I chose the Tempranillo wine and I was very pleased. We also ordered a cup of the soup and the bruschetta board. Everything was very good. I was most surprised by the hot donut dots. This is something I normally wouldn't order. They were so enjoyable. I will definitely be back to get some. It was great to discover a new favorite. We also had excellent service from our server Sam. Thank you for the great experience.

The Costco pack for $100 is a great deal: 4 tickets, 40 ride/game credits, parking and the passport to savings book. This year it also came with a 15% off fair merch coupon. The passport book contains discounts to many vendors food and regular items for purchase. Be sure to check out the fair's daily specials: Fridays are free for kids 12 and under, half of the fair tastic foods (18 items) and only 4 credits per game/ride (although some still charged 5+ like the Ferris wheel that was 7). Parking at the fair is $25. Get there around 10:30am to get the paved lot vs dirt lot parking. I like entering through the side gate vs the main gate as the lines are shorter. They have a security check point on entry. For kids there are two ride/game areas. Old kids go to one area and younger kids (under 10) go to the upper kids area with safer rides and easier games. Game credits were $1.25 each so think about the cost when each one costs 4 credits to play. One of the duck games is a guaranteed win small stuffy that was pretty cute and you can trade up. Recommend this one as everyone is a winner. Check out the acts and performances and set reminders. The turkey run, pig races, acrobats and parrot show were great. Butterfly exhibit ($4 per person) was cool. They give you a stick with nectar and butterflies will fly to you to lick it. Food: Always have to get the Maui pineapple from chicken Charlie's ($27 after tax). Kid likes fried Oreos $12. Lobster nachos were popular this year, got them half off $14. They were just okay. Strawberry matcha $13 from Tropical Garden was good but was $3 more than last year. Dr Pepper dip n dots regular size $10 were new, tasted just like carbonated Dr Pepper. The Taylor swift inspired lucky lavender lemonade was huge $16 and pretty sweet tasting. The plastics cup is reusable so take it home. Lots of walking and lots of dirt so don't wear fancy shoes. There were no dog shows either and the falafel burger at Roxy was so bland. I enjoyed looking at the cows and some of their sheep though. The crazy mouse ride is completely different and has not as many twist and turns. I would had given them a better rating if they offered better customer service and acted professional. The upscale dining room was warm and inviting and it was fun to eat with a new group of friends. We shared mouthwatering appetizers. The brussel sprouts and beet spread were divine and I could not stop eating them. The well endowed charcuterie board boasted lovely mustards, cheeses, meats and hickory smoked nuts. The nuts overwhelmed my palette as I was not expecting the smoky flavor, so I dipped some of the cheese into fresh mustard which filled my mouth with yummy flavors. Jonas took care of our table with great finesse. It is so obvious that he loves his job and has the utmost confidence in the chef. His animated descriptions of the menu brought everything to life. I love a perfectly poached egg, as the yolk burst open the golden fluid encapsulated the savory gnocci. A constant stream of delicious food and wine filled my belly and put a giant grin on my face. Before dessert time came around and I thought that there was no room left, however seeing the delicacies up close changed my mind. I really liked the cheesecake with kumquat glaze that provided a nice contrast to the undertone of the silken cheese. It was not too sweet which is my preference. Good flavor, cooked to order, and the a artists, broccoli, and mashed potatoes with pistachios were yummy. I cleaned my entire plate! The beer was amazing! Smooth, creamy with coffee, chocolate, and malty notes. With an ABV of 13.5% this was a good beer to end the night. Hubby enjoyed his Schnitzel with Stone's Rumination. Our oldest arrived halfway into our meal (cheap Uber :) so we treated him to a True Craft Burger which he polished off in 5 seconds. Gotta love those those youngsters. LOL We finished up the meal sharing the brownie. It was a huge portion topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, perfect for 3 people. Thanks again to Brad, Danny, Ron, Maddie and the rest of the Stone family for a wonderful night. Looking forward to our next visit.

1st Time at TinyFest…read more TinyFest was a good experience! If you've ever wondered how people can live in such small spaces (i.e vans, tents, shipping containers...) you'll definitely want to check out the festival. You get to see the size of different living units up close. Inside, they have sales of items that are useful for living minimally. Some of the units had an odd odor, which I found out later that the units on display are currently being lived in. The food was pricy, but expected. Overall, a good experience.

Such a fun event to be able to attend! Thank you Yelp and all who took part in this amazing…read morefestival of tiny homes. My hubby and I stopped by after church for a few hours. I've always been interested in having an Air bnb...and tiny homes seem like the perfect way to do so, affordably. I had no idea there were so many different types and options! Seems like most tiny home live on wheels so they aren't considered an actual ADU. Fascinating. There were many homes to see and tour. There was an indoor section of more homes and some van homes which were amazing. You could even rent the vans to go camping to see how you liked it. There were many other snack and art vendors inside but the focus really was the tiny homes and vans. Out back, when we went outside, there was another whole section of converted buses and more vans. There was some live music going, a kettle corn station, and even a bar. Overall a very fun event! It definitely has room to grow and could hold many more vendors but I was impressed by how many exhibits there were!

This was the back half of my North County Treat O'Clock doubleheader last week. I have visited SD's…read morefirst Matcha Cafe Maiko location in Kearny Mesa and was aware of the newest shop in Mira Mesa, but I did not realize until I signed up that the business had a presence in Escondido. The suite was in the Plaza Las Palmas which was very busy when I arrived during lunchtime. The inside had a limited seating capacity with fewer tables than the Kearny Mesa spot. For this weeklong promotion, the complimentary offer was a latte drink of choice with a free topping or a soft serve of choice served in a waffle cone or a cup. There were four flavors and two swirls for the soft serve. I asked for the Ube and Vanilla swirl in a cup. Initially, the worker was going to place the product in a standard serving cup. When I told her that I was going to be driving, she changed the cup to a deeper one that normally holds a small size drink. Not only did that make sense, but it was going to be much more convenient for me on the drive back home. As for the frozen treat, the menu photo depicted the ube as a shade of midnight blue. What I received was a more traditional lavender hue. The ube flavor wasn't as strong as I had hoped. The texture of the soft serve was reasonably creamy and didn't melt quickly while I was consuming it in my vehicle. Thank you to the owners of Matcha Cafe Maiko for hosting a Community Experience simultaneously at the Escondido and Mira Mesa locations. Indulging in your soft serve ice cream during this summer heat was certainly a pleasure. Thanks also to Audrey and Yelp North County San Diego for organizing the logistics of this Treat O'Clock experience.
