As soon as it was brought to my attention, I started putting on my shoes. Instead of giving me a chance to correct the issue, the manager, Noah, became rude and aggressive. While I was putting my shoes on, he said, "Fuck this, I'm going to cancel your membership." I was shocked because I was already complying with the policy. ( mind you in the mix of everything he was saying he did mention to call me a bitch ) and I've worked customer service all my life and not once have I ever called someone a bitch The situation escalated to the point where the police were called. I never expected something so minor to turn into that. What should have been a simple conversation became an embarrassing and unnecessary ordeal. Afterward, I tried calling the gym because I wanted the contact information for the general or district manager so I could report what happened. Noah told me he was the manager and refused to provide anyone else's contact information. When I called again simply asking for the manager's number, I was threatened with having the police called on me again. Planet Fitness advertises itself as a "Judgment Free Zone," but that was not my experience at all. As someone who was brand new to the gym, I expected patience and professionalism. Instead, I was treated with hostility over an honest mistake that I was already correcting. I hope Planet Fitness takes customer concerns seriously and looks into how situations like this are handled. No new member should be treated this way.

My fitness level has improved so much in the two years I've been a member. My favorite thing about this location, though, is the community- coaches and other members. The coaches are so positive and supportive, they will really help you modify your workout so it works best for you. Members would report concerns, but staff often seemed understaffed or uninterested in responding promptly. Seeing what appeared to be blood on equipment and other unsanitary substances in locker room areas was unacceptable and made me question the gym's cleaning procedures. What made the situation worse was management's response. Rather than taking concerns seriously and communicating what steps were being taken, complaints were often met with vague assurances that someone would "look into it." The same issues continued to appear week after week. A gym should be one of the cleanest places you visit, not a place where you're worried about hygiene and safety. Until management demonstrates a genuine commitment to cleanliness and member well-being, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
