I had to select between this and the other fitness center in central Nicholasville since both were about the same price with similar equipment. I liked the elliptical better here so I joined about 18 months ago, and I'm glad I did. I never am impeded from getting the workout I want. There are plenty of machines that are never monopolized at the times I work out, which is mostly evenings, sometimes daytime on Fridays and Saturdays. The experiences have been positive, my fob gives me entrance in the middle of the night if that's when I want to go, and the annual fee is only $35 with $10 a month to maintain. It is clean, and there is a shower in the locker room which I haven't needed to use since I live close by. No gimmicks. My only complaint is that the TV's built into the ellipticals sometimes fritz up during a program, and they always play pop music on the loudspeaker that is loathsome and repetitive, but I'm an older guy and a music snob anyway; You can't have everything! It is significant too, that the other gym shut down late last year! So I would have ended up here either way. I'm glad I chose this at the outset.

If that's what you're needs are then I would say absolutely use the state credit and then enroll your child into public school or Model if you are looking for a real private school. My child was enrolled from PreK to 3rd grade after the huge downward spiral in the 3rd grade we pulled him due a number of issues including bringing solid proof to the principal that his teacher was harassing our child. We were told in so many words due to staffing issues that she will always pick the teacher over the student. We copied the superintendent with every single email as well and this was ignored. The teacher in question still works there. St. Marks used to be a safe place for my child and the third grade year was met with extreme anxiety due to this teacher. We were told to trust and there was no way this teacher was causing it. I feel ashamed I didn't pull my child sooner. You will not have the protection of a 504. My child is immunocompromised and I remember saying to the principal I am sorry my child doesn't have a cookie cutter illness like cancer. This year we have been going back and forth to Nortons in Louisville and will start having to travel to Cincinnati. The 504 I have in place with the public school protects my child. The teacher from last year refused to do a single thing the OT therapist requested, yet the public school and 5 teachers have not one issue. Save your money. Use it as a daycare and find a better place.

We have had our oldest in their Pre-K program since she was 2 and her development has been amazing to watch. Along with an exceptional K - 5 program they have the only Pre-K program in which children can go full time/part time, full day/half day. The best part is they can continue up through 5th grade so that they really get a sense of family in addition to a quality education. Character is what helps to set this school apart from others. The Pledge of Allegiance is said daily, and they actively encourage student prayers. At the end of each school day they set aside time where students can give "shout outs" to other students for their acheivements, as well as apologize for when their behavior may not have been up to par. This accountability comes from the students, which makes it even more special. The principal works day in and day out to ensure her students and staff have the tools they need to ensure a quality education. She is actively involved in the parent/teacher associations as well. I have never met teachers more devoted to the success of their students than those at Saint Mark. With small school sizes, they are able to pay more attention to each student as an individual and cater to their learning style more easily.

All of the instructors are awesome in helping me make any modifications I may need. It is truly my practice and I love the peace and wellness each class brings me. There is a class for everyone regardless if you are new or experienced. Attending a class is my favorite part of the day because it allows me to take time for myself. It has helped reduce stress, gain flexibility and help with pain relief.

i love the environment. the games are fun. the first time i went in and didn't know what to expect…read more someone gave me a dollar so i could play a game of pool. the people there are very kind. they also have a training stick for pool. there are many options available, free and paid. free options include their selection of board games, giant connect four, corn hole, and the play axe throwing. the arcade games, air hockey, pool, and darts can all be done for a very low price. they also have a machine where you can pay to play any song you want to hear. for a higher price (but not too high), you can do the real axe throwing. i did not do this, but my friend did and he enjoyed it so much that he did it twice in the few hours we were there. bathrooms were also clean and the staff was nice and offering tips while playing games when we asked and it was extremely helpful. they do also have food and drinks, though i did not try this. i live very close to this place, so this will become one of my regular hangout spots.

The old fort site has a marina and some signage, but it was brutal hot, so I wandered up to the Kentucky River Museum and stumbled right into a fascinating tour! The guide's family has operated the lock (Lock 10 to be specific) since practically conception, so he had stories, pictures, letters, journals, and a deep connection to the home and site. Awesome tour! This tour is included with your purchase of a fort ticket, so I headed over there to get mine and wander around the replica fort complete with cabins, crows, period demonstrations, and a video about the one and only Daniel Boone! You know, that guy, pretty famous in these parts....
