I paid almost $500.00 for a regular visit with a follow visit up 2 weeks later Just to ask questions about HRT options. They also collected my blood to see my hormone levels. This is my first pregnancy, and I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this office. The most frustrating part is that the doctors themselves were kind, knowledgeable, and professional--the issues I encountered were primarily with the administrative staff. I was referred by my doctor to Memorial, but when I contacted them, they had no record of the referral. After following up with the office, it appeared the referral had been sent elsewhere. I politely asked for it to be resent to the correct location, but despite multiple follow-up calls, Memorial still did not receive it. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I was met with noticeable frustration and dismissive behavior from staff, including interruptions and an unprofessional tone. I was also contacted and told I needed to repeat my bloodwork because it had been drawn in expired tubes, and the lab would not process it. There was no apology--only a comment that it had "only been expired by a day," which felt dismissive. When I declined to return and instead requested the order be sent to Quest so I could complete it there, I was told I would receive a call back. That call never came. Most concerning was my most recent interaction. I began experiencing spotting and, as this is my first pregnancy, I was understandably anxious. I called to ask if I could be evaluated or at least receive guidance. I was told to contact my new OB/GYN to see if they had sooner availability. I was also told that the staff would ask the doctors, but if I did not receive a call back, it meant they could not see me. Not receiving any follow-up during a time of concern was very discouraging. Overall, while the physicians were excellent, the lack of communication, follow-through, and basic patient support from the office staff made this a very stressful experience--especially during such an important time. read more

I've been here 3 times in the last few years, and have waited more than a hour for the doctors appointment. I ask myself if they can handle appointments at this rate. How many patients need to complain before this is addressed? Today, I'm sitting here and they seem like they are skipping me because I asked the front desk when I can be seen. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I scheduled an appointment with a lady that could barely speak english. She kept getting my name wrong, asked me 4 times for my address, email. etc. I book an appoint for 9/15. Showed up on 9/15 and was told my appointment was NEXT MONTH. I said I would never had made an appointment 1 month out. So the office manager called me back and made an appt the next day 11:05. I got a text to CHECK IN so I completed all the steps to CHECK-IN. At 12 pm I went to the front and asked what was going on. I was told the DR was going to see me now. A girl came out and said the DR left for the day and I did not "sign in". I told her I did the app CHECK-IN and she said I needed to do both. THERE IS NO SIGN THAT SAYS THAT. At the sign-in has a picture to CHECK-IN on your mobile. Then she wanted to reschedule AGAIN for the next day at noon and I left. My recent experiences at Dr. Mehta's have been deeply disappointing, prompting me to change practices in the third trimester of my pregnancy. My original doctor, Dr. Shepard, who was absolutely amazing and worth the headaches caused by the practice, moved right before I got pregnant. I decided to stay with the practice but wish I hadn't. There are some main issues with communication, unprofessionalism, poor service, and lack of personalization. Communication Problems: Every call involves a frustrating 15-20 minute wait on hold before you can even speak to someone. Messages regarding health concerns sent through the patient portal went unanswered for days, with the office staff telling me "well the doctor is busy seeing patients" and then placing me on hold. Unprofessionalism: The front office staff have been dishonest. They "assured me they canceled a hospital appointment", even when I told them I was looking at MyChart and could see the appointments they scheduled on there. They recommended I call the hospital but I even asked at my first phone call if that was something I had to do or they would do it. After multiple calls over several days and being told repeatedly "I assure you the coordinator has canceled the appointment because we don't see it on our end" the hospital confirmed no such cancellation and that the practice had never even contacted them. Overall Poor Service: Extremely long wait times in the lobby and in the patient room, even when having the first appointment of the day. Once, I was left waiting in a patient room for an hour and a half without any update, forcing me to leave without being seen. They literally forgot I was there. Lack of Personalization: During a recent visit, the doctor forgot she had delivered my first child (2 years ago) which I don't expect her to remember but at least take a moment to preview the patient chart. This just highlights a lack of attention to patient history. Dr. Mehta's office may be fine for routine check-ups but the declining standard of service, long wait times, unaddressed concerns, and lapses in professionalism make it hard to recommend, especially for pregnant women or those needing attentive care. read more

I REGRET ever going here. My appointment with a gynecologist became an appointment with an advanced practicing nurse without me knowing until she told me. My bloodwork in the office was messy. The order for my mammogram was at the wrong location. And almost 2 weeks later I still have no results in my portal. Calling in to resolve this has been a 2 week back and forth with no succes. Ultrasound results will not be in my portal until I see the practioning nurse while I do not want to go back. I have never ever had any issues ilike these and have moved all over the USA as well as internationally. I am just fed up with being told of on the phone and treated condescended. STAY AWAY as far as you can! I gave birth with Dr Mehta, what a horrible experience! They called her as soon as I got to the hospital at 9pm on Sunday. I almost ended up giving birth with a hospital doctor since she didn't care to show up on time. When she finally walks into the labor room a few minutes after midnight, doesn't even look at me to acknowledge me, say hi or anything of that matter. Just gets into the spot where the hospital doctor was before and says something about traffic jam to the nurses. Sorry lady, I seriously doubt there was a traffic jam at I-95 on Sunday night, we drove there a few hours earlier and it was as fast as you can ever go on I-95. She extracted my daughter with vacuum, "yanking her out like crazy" if I use my husband's exact words. Without any communication to us as of what is happening, what should the next step be, what do I AS A WOMAN IN LABOR want to do, what decision I want to make. After things finally calmed down and I had my daughter on my chest and I asked her if she already extracted the placenta. Her response "yes, I'm just stitching you up". Stitching me up? Apparently she performed episiotomy without even informing me about it too, much less asking for permission. This was my first birth and I started pushing way after midnight, my daughter was born 0.47am. Clearly it was a rushed birth, i could've pushed longer but she didn't want to be there at all. She did show up in my recovery room a few hours later and said she will check on me the next day as well. Surprise, surprise she never did. Tnx to Dr Mehta, my first birth experience was completely ruined. I even questioned having another kid because I didn't want to feel like a piece of meat on a table again but I switched offices and got blessed with wonderful midwifes second time around which is the reason why I finally took time to write this review. If I can help only one mom and make her birth experience better, then please do yourself a favor and stay as far as you can! It's not just Dr. Mehta, the whole office is unprofessional. My appointments were always as soon as they opened and multiple times I had almost missed my work at 10am (my office is 5min away from their building). And the phones... gosh! This practice is particularly bad in several areas : wait time and follow up care and keeping up with patients needs. I was recommended certain medications. Only one out of three was sent to pharmacy. This happened twice. I had to request the other medication via portal, then on the phone. My pharmacy messaged me to say they did not have it and had contacted my doctor to ask for the appropriate substitute. Three days later the pharmacy messaged me that doctor's office never replied to them so no treatment for me. I do not recommend this business. Not serious! Not professional! read more

I strongly advise against getting care here. The office is so disorganized that they forgot that I was supposed to have a IUD removal followed by the insertion of a new one. Instead they just did the insertion. Had I not asked if the removal was complete, I would have left the doctors office with 2 IUDs inserted. I had been having heavy cramping from the first IUD, which is what prompted the switch to a new smaller one. I cant imagine how painful it would have been with two IUDs. Where to begin with this wonderful place they are located on commerical and federal. Commercial was completely blocked off with police, so I called the office to let them know id be late. The office manager does not answer the phone. I called 5x, finally on the 5th try Carla (office manager) answers and says they need to reschedule my appointment because they close in a few minutes (1pm) and they refuse to stay until 1:05. I explained this is just for an ultrasound to see whether or not my eggs are viable and it's extremely important this happens today. She said "no mam, we leave at 1pm so we will not be here. An HOUR after my scheduled appointment time, I'm still sitting in the waiting room waiting to see the doctor. After checking in with the receptionist twice I was told "The doctor is here, we're just waiting on a room to become available." So, I continue to wait...and wait...and wait some more. Finally, I get called in to see the doctor, whom I thought was great. My time with the doctor: 15 minutes. My time in the waiting room: 60 minutes. If I had been late for my appointment, they would have required me to reschedule the appointment for another time and/or I would have been charged a fee for a missed appointment. Horrible. It's a "mill" type of place where they have no idea who you even are. Pump you in, get you out. I call over, and over, and over and over and over again for my prescriptions. No one answers. When I saw the mixed reviews on yelp I should have trusted them, but I needed a new gynecologist and they took my insurance so I figured why not. My first appointment was great, I saw the nurse practitioner Katina and she was amazing. After this experience I was excited to go back for my further OB-GYN needs. My next appointment was with Dr. Sam and it was TERRIBLE. She was maybe in the room for 2 minutes, didn't let me ask any questions, and to be honest did the bare minimum at her job. I have never felt so unimportant at a doctors office during my own scheduled appointment. Not only is the doctor MIA but the staff in the office is impossible to get a hold of. I would have to call about 7-8 times over three days to actually reach someone because they do not return your voicemails. Half the time the line disconnects on you and you can't reach anyone to get your test results or schedule an appointment. When it came to my yearly exam I choose to go elsewhere, told the office I was leaving, asked for a copy of my chart and was greeted with the snippiest attitude. THANK GOD I changed doctors. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because of Katina and the nursing staff. They are the saving grace to this place. I know you ladies understand the discomfort this yearly visit brings you. Elite Obstetrics makes it a little less uncomfortable. Not only does Dr. Sam have a fantastic "bedside manner," but everything about the office strives to keep things easy and relaxing. This is an all female office with oodles of extras for you to partake in. Along with the normal obgyn dealings, they offer things like a weight loss system that Dr. Sam herself used (and she looks freaking fantastic now), massages, microdermabrasion, botox, laser hair removal, and many many other great services! It is seriously like a female's haven. Their website has a complete list of services on it. I live in Boynton, but started going here when I lived in the Fort Lauderdale area. I still continue my annual trip here just because this office is so great for such an annoying yearly necessity. read more

I've been waiting for roughly a month to find out what was discovered on my trans vaginal ultrasound. During a recent procedure, I asked Dr.Mehta to please discuss the ultrasound with me, because two weeks had already gone by with zero explanation. She said I would need to wait an additional two weeks to discuss these findings. My previous obgyn would just give me a phone call instead of making me pay $60 for a 5 minute conversation. I had a wonderful birthing experience with Dr. Whitney Shepard. I'm a 1st time mom with an almost 9 lb baby born via normal delivery. Dr. Shepard is a highly skilled OB-GYN. She made me give birth with confidence and success. I had an overall beautiful labor and delivery with her at Memorial Regional Hospital. Together with Dr. Tina Mehta, I was provided with excellent prenatal care at Elite OBGYN clinic which made my pregnancy, labor and delivery a successful one. I definitely want them both again to take care of me for my next baby and I will highly recommend them both to everyone looking for an OB-GYN. read more

I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer and they still haven't called me back! That's right. I started bleeding from my vagina and lost so much blood that I became anemic and ended up needing 3 blood transfusions. I ended up in the hospital needing to have the blood transfusions and an emergency D&C in order to determine why I was bleeding so badly. Ultimately, the gynecologist that performed the D&C and a pathologist determined that I had endometrial cancer and needed a full hysterectomy. During this 3 week period I called Lanalee Sam's office of Elite Obstetrics repeatedly for help and guidance. They still have not called me back. I came in for a yearly pap and was charged a $55 copay as a result of the office filing a wrong medical coding. Not to mention, I called repeatedly with no luck. Year later, I went back for another annual pap and the moment I walked in, I just knew this would be my final and last time at this practice as a result of the following: lack of transparency, wrong diagnosis, professionalism, knowledgeable and more. As with most large companies you're probably switching insurances frequently like I am. So of course some years back I lost my awesome doctor and had to look for a new one. Enter Dr. Sam. I'm not crazy about female doctors all up in my hoohaw (I've found men are actually more gentle) but alas she was great location so I gave her a try. This was probably four years ago now, and I haven't looked back. I don't see her more than my once a year check up, but I feel comfortable every time. The best part, there's usually no wait when I check in and I'm called back into a room within 10 minutes. I have been a patient of hers for over 12 years and find this inexplicably unprofessional behavior by any medical office. I found her through my health insurance directory, but I hit the jackpot with her. If I wanted to waste any more of my time, I'd take the time to write a detailed review about how incompetent the office staff of this place is. I actually like Dr. Sam, but after about 4 years, I am changing providers. They cannot accomplish the simple task of returning a phone message in which I specifically stated, twice, to CALL ME BACK. After leaving a second message, someone finally answered the phone the third time I called, a week after leaving my first message. This is only one instance, out of many, as I have been a patient there for about 4 years. The only person who is worth anything there is Raquel, and as sweet and helpful and competent as she is, I cannot expect that she has the time to provide me with personal attention every time I call or visit so it is time for a change. I really don't know how they get such great reviews.This started months ago when I moved to FL from a small island where healthcare is poor and PCOS is not well known or treated. I moved here specifically to get help for this very painful condition which is getting worse as I age. I also have pretty embarrassing clinical anxiety and especially as it relates to doctors I get very nervous and anxious. I made my appointment and as I always do, I told them about my anxiety so they are prepared. The ladies in the office were not exactly friendly (red flag) but I read they were specialists in PCOS so I decided to go ahead with the appointment. My first appointment I waited and waited well past my scheduled appointment time. I finally saw Dr. Kushlack but sadly she was pretty dismissive of my concerns and kept focusing on my anxiety and not my PCOS concerns. At the first appointment when I was leaving the receptionist gave me cards for primary care doctors. I was curious as to why, as Elite is a specialist and why do I need a to see a primary when I am already seeing a specialist? She snapped back at me and was EXTREMELY rude to me. I decided I wouldn't go back to Elite and made an appointment at another office. About a week later they messaged me on their portal to schedule an ultrasound. I told them I was very hesitant because of the way I was treated at the last appointment. Quickly I received a call back from Dr. Kushlak's "assistant" who was VERY nice and assured me that wouldn't happen again and offered apologies so I canceled that secondary appointment with the other provider. Thinking that maybe I just caught them on a bad day and desperate for answers, I agreed to another appointment but I was told that Dr. Kushlak had left the practice. I would have to go over all of my issues once again with their new physician. I agreed and hoped that she would have a better bedside manner, but I made sure we could do bloodwork at this time also since I asked for it to be done when they did the ultrasound, saving me trips and time off work which they failed to set up correctly on my 2nd visit. Third appointment, I arrived on time and sat in the waiting room where they were late for my appointment again by 45 minutes. When I saw the new physician, Dr. Shepard she stated PCOS "was her speciality". I was so excited to FINALLY have someone who would understand PCOS! The next thing she said was about calorie intake and loosing weight. Honestly, after this I just shut down and knew this was my last appointment at this practice. It doesn't take a degree to know that weight gain from insulin resistant PCOS is not like a normal persons weight gain. My head sunk. She handed me a tissue box. I wasn't crying I felt utterly defeated and dismissed yet again and by a "specialist" this time. So BEFORE a drop of blood was drawn, (other than an ultrasound that did show cysts) she basically tells me to loose weight. Anyone with insulin resistant PCOS understand its not as simple as "just lose weight" and we are tired of hearing this, especially BEFORE you have any information on what's actually going on in our bodies. During that consultation she asked me the exact same questions that were already on my chart from the initial visit but I obliged because being thorough is good. Honestly, I do blame myself. I should have known the moment I got treated like garbage that they could care less about me or my problems. We are walking paychecks (likely why you have to pay first which I find super odd). Then I received a certified letter from Elite stating that I needed to find another doctor because of "bad rapport" ME?!?! You must be kidding. I have given them EVERY opportunity to treat me with dignity and respect and they have done the polar opposite. The worst experience I've ever had at an OBGYN!!!! Sure, the parking is nice, clean office, nice people. Visit was quick, but in a way that it felt sped through. They are incapable of calling a patient back and handling an issue they created. 0 recommendation, 100% avoid this place!!! After my yearly visit, I receive a bill in the mail and am told by my insurance that the doctor incorrectly filed the diagnosis code which caused me to get billed for my yearly Pap smear which is my right as a woman!! Do not waste your time. I have been calling the office to have this bill handled since August of 2017 (currently May 2018) and now the bill has gone to collections. I have been going to Elite OB/GYN for over two years. It hasn't been ideal. My original provider was a kind woman named Dr. Crystal Tallman. Unfortunately, Dr. Tallman left and I was transferred over to Dr. Mehta. My experience with Dr. Mehta has lacked the warmth I had with Dr. Tallman. I brought my mother with me on many visits, and she raised concerns about Dr. Mehta's unenthusiastic bedside manner. I ignored these complaints because I understand that everyone can't be friendly and charming on the job. However, from many other visits, I determined that she didn't have the patience or understanding that I would expect from a physician. Today, I left in tears. I suppose other patients prefer the curtness of a stoic physician. I brought my husband with me today for the first time, and he was appalled by her demeanor. It's not aggressive; it's cold.
