I disagree with much of the Mathias reviewer wrote, but perhaps the hotel has improved since that review was written.
The hotel has an incredible breakfast with lots of options and the room has many tables. We stayed for two weeks and always found the breakfast a big treat (example: eggs in 3 different types, caviar, 2 types of herring, pickled cucumbers, Swedish pancakes, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, cooked veggies, bread rolls, croissants, yummy(!) breads/crackers, yogurts, sliced meats, cheeses, fruit preserves, cookies, lots of cereals, dried fruits, juices, coffee, tea).
The staff was very attentive and tried to be helpful when we asked for recommendations.
I wish the gym was included in the price, but it's not a deal-breaker that it wasn't. Big minus was the lack of wifi-internet connection at the gym.
The bathroom needs updating, was a bit nerve-wrecking getting out of the wet tub--there are no handles to grab onto and the door isn't helpful as it is made of glass and seemed delicate.
Not having A/C was expected and it wasn't a big deal once we opened the windows. Although a fan would be good. The nights are quiet, so not a big problem to have windows open.
The windows had black-out curtains so that was great.
The decor was fine and was contemporary modern. Bed was comfy. read more
