I had a huge leak from my water heater. It looked like water was running out of a faucet. He educated me on what things to shut off. The leaking stopped. He fit me in the same day and discovered that the pressure relief valve had failed. He replaced it. Also, he found the gas igniter was not working. He replaced this as well. I was told a plumber would be out to home in the morning. I called at noon and was told that he'd be at my home between noon and 3 pm. I called at 5 pm because he didn't show or call. His phone number could not receive messages as his message space was full. After several calls, I gave up trying yo contact him at 7:30 pm. My house is an old house from the 1950's with galvanized piping and I was getting no hot water pressure. I knew the piping needed to be replaced so I started calling around. Of the 8 or so plumbers I called only 2 showed up on time with multiple no call no shows. Ryan showed up a few minutes before our scheduled time. I showed him around the house and we talked about what options we could take to replace the plumbing and install some water boxes for the fridge and washer to replace the stub-outs the house had. Ryan was knowledge about and friendly during the whole interaction. We agreed on a price to do all the water lines from the curb to under the house. The other plumbers had quoted 2 days to complete the job but Ryan and his crew were in and out in one day. All the work was done as described, on time, and most important is the woman of the house is happy to have hot water again. TL;DR Ryan is a honest plumber that showed up on time and on budget. My insurance company sent him out to repair water leak. I had told them it was just outside our garage about a foot down. We had already dug it out. I think it might have been caused from a recent repair up above. Anyway my regular plumber was on a lengthy job out of town. Ryan came out took a pic, did not even check it out further as there was a little water in hole. He said they would probably not pay for it due to being outside and we wanted it repaired at our cost anyway if that happened. He was supposed to be there bright and early next morning. I had to give him a check before hand so he could have the number to give to insurance co. Thought that irregular, but maybe true. He never came back the next day and kept putting me off. By late afternoon I he finally took my call and told me they would not pay. End of story, he just did not want to do it I guess. He deposited my share of cost of $75.00 to come out take a pic, really? I think he never intended to come back. Still waiting for refund from insurance co. I am old school, if you say you are gonna do something, do it or work with me somehow. Also, the insurance company had to call him and reschedule because he never showed up when he was supposed to or even called. Red flag I guess! read more
