They removed our dying ash tree with amazing skill and in what seemed to me to be fairly short time, considering the complexity and risks of taking down a large tree in a built up urban area. We've invested well into 5-figs into our yard with Elite since 2013, and we are quite satisfied with all their work. (I posted several receipts but I think I missed a couple.) This has been for tree removal, stump grinding, two huge hedge installation jobs, some shrub transplanting, etc. We've been pleased with their work conduct/quality/efficiency/courtesy, and the quality of plants bought through them is excellent. I grew up on my family's tree orchard that sells mainly to showcase homes in the Hamptons, so I know and appreciate quality horticulture. Cale has been who we've mainly dealt with. In 2013, they had a frontman, Aaron, doing customer service but I know for me, I had so many technical questions Cale needed to answer, I think they now have customers deal directly with him. Cale is extremely busy, so it can take time to get a reply. Landscaping is really only an emergency if you have a scary situation like a fallen tree, so I am fine being patient waiting a bit for replies from Cale. He gets to it. Honestly, I trust him, and that is worth the wait. I absolutely take his word for what I need to remove or keep on my property, and it has always been beneficial to follow his recommendations for care and maintenance. Cale came out to check on his work a few years after a big job, and he seriously cares about these trees. Our most recent job was removing several trees in our backyard. Cale's guys are just as expert as he, and have tons of info to teach. They were in and out in a day, did everything required, stacked our lumber neatly by the road, and as a huge bonus, gave us the name of a local logger who takes piece orders for the mill, so we could make money on our removed trees. They had high-tech remote control stump removal equipment, that made short work of our huge stumps, and they left our yard in great shape (no divots or misshapen earth, nor stray brush/sticks). Although we did not actually employ Elite Tree Care, i just had to take a minute to share my experience with them. We had some trees come down in a recent storm, so I called a few different tree care companies. Rick from Elite responded quickly and came out to give an estimate. He was so friendly and HONEST! Instead of providing an estimate, he let me know that he did not have the correct equipment to do the job efficiently, and he told me what to ask for when calling around for other estimates. Rick's knowledge, honesty and professional integrity are to be commended, and I would definitely recommend Elite Tree Care and call them if I have other tree needs in the future. Rick came out quickly to do an estimate. Their price was reasonable compared to other quotes so I hired them to do the work. This was at the beginning of August. They picked a day that I would be out of town but they said this was fine and they knew what needed to be done. They were supposed to completely remove one large holly tree, trim a neighbors tree to the property line, remove three shrubs and grind all the stumps. When I returned, the neighbors tree was only partially trimmed and none of the stumps had been ground. They said the stump grinding would happen on a separate day so I waited a while before contacting them. It never happened. So I let them know that the neighbors tree wasn't done all the way and the stumps weren't done at all. It was only then, after including the price of it on the estimate and invoice, that they let me know the stumps couldn't be ground because they were close to the house. This was never mentioned when they were here for the estimate. They came back to finish the neighbors tree. The invoice I got still had stump grinding on it so I asked for it to be adjusted before I paid. I heard nothing from them until the end of March when they again sent me an invoice for the wrong amount. Not only that, but the owner Cale wanted to come by in person, the next day (a Sunday) to pick up a check. Pretty bold to wait six months to send an invoice and then expect payment in person within twelve hours. The work got done but they're kind of a mess. Updated to add: I sent them a check over a month ago and they haven't even cashed it. Maybe I should increase the number of stars because they're such a mess, you may never end up paying for the work they do...! read more

We were very disappointed in this company. The work was originally scheduled to take place on the Monday before Thanksgiving. That morning, Cale notified me they couldn't be there because of equipment problems and said they would be there on Wednesday. I asked if they could come the following week as the day before Thanksgiving was not convenient for a number of reasons. He said no, they already had the crane rented for that day. I was disappointed but ok. When they left at the end of the day on Wednesday, numerous huge tree trunk sections were left on our front yard and on the street in front of our house. The initial proposal specified these were to be hauled away. When I called Cale, he said, again, they were having equipment problems and one of their trucks was out of commission and they would be there either Friday or the following Monday at the latest. It is now 13 days later and the tree trunk sections are still there. No word from Cale after numerous repeated phone calls. We are furious and will never use this company again. read more

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! It's great watching these guys work! If you know about trees you know that they're doing it the right way unlike some other services that I won't mention. They are fast, thorough, clean, and very reasonable with certified arborists on the team! Tree work in general is expensive (these guys so far have been low to mid range on all the jobs I've had them on) but knowing someone is doing it right as not to cause further damage to my trees saves me a lot of money in the long run and gives me peace of mind. We scheduled them to come out and give a quote and they responded very fast and gave a reasonable quote. The guy who came out was very nice and knew a great deal about trees and shrubs. When I called back to schedule them to come out I was told they would call me back with a day in about 2 weeks. Since then they have not called and refuse to return my calls time and time again. If they don't want my business they should at least call. read more

Elite tree service did a fantastic job clearing the back of our property that was full of trees, brush, trash from previous owners, and an asphalt basketball court. It also required a significant amount of grading to make our property into a lawn. Additionally, they performed cleanup work on a number of trees in our front lawn. Their estimate was affordable and actual cost did not vary from it. Given the amount of work involved I went out for multiple quotes and Elite's couldn't be matched. Work was scheduled shortly after receiving the estimate and the owner and staff were professional and friendly and I would recommend their service to anyone looking for tree removal and related work.
