I can attest to Elizabeth's character, as I have known her for several years personally now. She cares for adults and children in the same attentive manner and gets her work done. She puts in long hours, does 95% of the work herself (except on major holidays when she does 94% of all of the work, due to hiring holiday assistant due to busy season). Personally I have seen her triple check doors and locks and redial numbers she thought was incorrect. Use her service, get to know her as a person because she personally (cannot attest to anyone else related to her or working for her) works harder than anyone you'll ever know. We have been using Elizabeth's services for the last few months and she has been an excellent caretaker of our elderly chihuahua, Buckles! She is super quick with responses, reliable, and works with you to schedule times that work best for your dog. She has been so easy to work with and texts us pics and updates during visits to our home when we are away for a few days. Due to health complications, Buckles is fragile, needs medicine during his meals, and cannot travel too far from home, which makes traveling for the holidays sometimes difficult. Elizabeth has been so great at being gentle with Buckles and caring for all of his additional needs as a geriatric dog. If she is unable to make any requested dates, she is also great at offering referrals, who she trains and works with to care for your dog. My partner and I are new to the Davis area, but we would not have been able to do visits to family during the holidays without the help of Elizabeth! She gives him walks, provides him with medicine, provides him with much-needed love while we're gone, and even goes the extra mile sometimes through kind acts like filing his nails. Leaving Buckles alone for a weekend was a scary idea at first, but I feel much better knowing Elizabeth can fill in for his care when needed. read more

DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR ANIMAL!!!! She is a cocky, rude, know it all that supposedly specializes in senior dogs. She did not listen to my instructions and left my 15 year old German Shepard out in the extreme heat in his urine, resulting in maggot infested sores, hospitalization, an in the end I had to put him down. She is an absolute nightmare! Refused to refund my money (even when she told me on the phone she would refund my money if the app wouldn't pay for the vet bills, so that would help with the vet cost) and the app, Rover, I used to find her refused to pay the hospital bills. read more

Elizabeth watched my dog Luke for several years while I was in Davis as a college student and post grad. Luke is a very anxious chihuahua that I rescued, and has a very hard time trusting anyone besides me and my family. After Elizabeth watched Luke a few times, Luke totally started trusting her, and loved going to stay with her for either day trips or weekends. 1. Repeatedly delayed drop-off time. 2. Said that my cat would have her own space, I have reason to believe that was not the case. Made no mention of any other cats on premises. 3. Delayed pickup because she was "off the waitlist for a dinner." 4. Told me I should pick up earlier than planned the next day because she had a zoom therapy session. 5. Didn't return everything I had brought. That's when I was told that she had other cats and apparently intermingles things amongst them. Consequently, I got back a different litter scoop, catnip in a sandwich bag labeled "noon treat", only one of the two scratching boxes I left (she said the other one was "destroyed" - interesting in that my cat has used them for many weeks without remotely destroying them, so was my cat so stressed she went crazy on one box - or did the "other cats" get access? I'll never know. Also, cat's brush is missing. 6. Returned litter box empty saying it was standard procedure. Cat was very loud all the way home and then went under the couch and is just now starting to come out. Didn't feel right about the situation from the outset but had no other options at that point. Elizabeth is amazing!! When I was in dire need of a long term boarder due to economic hardships leading to an emergency pet situation, she lent a helping hand. I am truly blessed to have met her; not only did she welcome my two dogs (one a schnoodle and another a terrier mix) with open arms, but she also offered me an extremely affordable price, given my situation. She offered to meet with me before they were boarded to assess their behavior as I was worried they were not socialized enough, she explained that in her professional opinion one of my dogs was not in fact aggressive, but fearful. This was information I had never been given by professionals as they all labeled that specific dog as aggressive. She told me that under her care she would help me slowly immerse them in other dog groups and socialize them. All she needed from me were their vaccine records. Due to my situation, Elizabeth cared for my two dogs for 30 days, during that entire time she was great at communicating and kept me updated via text, phone calls, and with pictures. She kept me updated on their social progress and anytime my dogs needed any supplies, she let me know. She takes the dogs under her care on early walks before the heat begins, but during the rest of the day, when the dogs need to relieve themselves or play outside, they are exposed to some heat. My dogs are not from climates with extreme heat, so when she noticed my dogs were not doing well in the heat despite other cooling methods, she suggested I buy them cooling vests as many of her other clients use, and drop them off to her. This demonstrated to me that she cared for the welfare and comfort of my pets and others. I picked up my dogs once a week to take them to training, supply drop-offs, and vet appointments. Each time I saw them they looked healthy and happy and excited to see Elizabeth when I dropped them back off. Elizabeth took great care of my dogs during their stay. I could not be more thankful that she took them in when I needed emergency boarding and no other boarder in the area would or could take them in. She is the reason I was able to keep my dogs and I will definitely be using her services in the future! If you need someone to tend to your pets, just know your pets will be cared for with Elizabeth!! read more

I, too, had a bad experience with Elizabeth. She was not willing to come over in June to talk about what was needed to care for my pet while I was gone. Her excuse was that she was too busy during weddings and graduation week, that she needed to go the movies to relax. Really??!! When you're a business owner, you don't say that or turn clients down to "relax at the movies"!! Previous to that time, she did not take our trash on collection day and we were left with overflowing trash for an additional week. I really appreciated Elizabeth accepting my pup so last minute since my usual sitter wasn't available. However, I had to ask for picture and updates as she never offered. Without asking me, she trimmed his nails. At first I thought it was a nice gesture, until we got home and I saw that he was bleeding heavily from one nail. She had clipped his quick too far and I had to do damage control myself. It really upset me that she did not ask and that she did not notice, or if she had, treat the bleeding. Elizabeth is a Godsend. My dogs LOVE going to her house. She has watched them for 3 years. In that time, I have seen Elizabeth's care and love of dogs. It amazes me that anyone has a negative review. I guess there are always complainers out there. The dogs LOVE her and I know that they are safe and cared for. It takes all the guilt out of traveling and leaving them. Elizabeth was a life saver! My husband and I stayed at a pet friendly hotel which is apparently only pet friendly when you're with them. We were in a bind since we had to be at a graduation very early the next morning--so at 9pm that night we thought there was no way. Until we found Elizabeth. She said no problem at all. My dog always comes back tired and happy from Elizabeth's, and that's the number 1 thing to me. The environment might be a little hectic for some smaller or older dogs, but for my big lolloping greyhound mix it's absolutely perfect. It took Elizabeth a while to get my dog's name right, and I do have the minor quibble that my dog didn't get her medication during her stay. It was no big deal in my case, but for a dog with health issues it might be something to consider. All in all though, Elizabeth is a great match for my dog and me. She is always flexible about payment and timing, very willing to drop off and pick up, and independent and a can-do kind of person. I especially appreciated when she was willing to watch a somewhat unpredictable foster dog with a history of dog aggression. She kept her completely separate from other dogs when unsupervised and that took some serious coordination considering how many dogs Elizabeth has in her care! Most sitters would have turned tail. I wish my cat could have told me what in the world happened in that week he stayed with Elizabeth. One week only and he came back traumatized. After I got him back, as soon as we walked home, he ran under the couch!! He's NEVER done that! And for so many days he's had this very deep and loud "meow" that really left me perplexed. He was scared of being alone in one room or hallway and I had to be with him all the time. It took me a couple of weeks to get him readjusted and trustful that nothing bad was going to happen to him. Also, I did not like the way the carrier was brought back to me. I left my cat in his new fabric carrier... and when I got him back, his carrier was crazy stinky, dirty inside, probably a full bag of untouched treats thrown inside, and the fabric a little damaged. Again, I wish my cat could talk!!! I do have to admit, though, that Elizabeth has been very professional to me personally, and able to accommodate my needs. I am really happy of that. I am sad for my cat, though. All in all, I think that Elizabeth must be a very good dog sitter... but based on my experience, I would not trust her again with a cat or with a sensitive dog. read more

She would always leave little notes letting me know how the pups did too which was much appreciated. Not a good environment for dogs who suffer from anxiety or are sensitive. When I arrived for the initial consultation I showed up literally to Elizabeth and her neighbor arguing over the chaos that was in her back yard. Her neighbor was asking her to please have the dogs be more controlled so they wouldn't bark day/night and she wouldn't have to resort to yelling and screaming at the dogs. I was most definitely put off by this, but know how people can be so I gave Elizabeth the benefit of the doubt. But unfortunately, once I was inside her house I understood exactly what her neighbor was trying to stop. There were dogs sectioned off in her whole entire house.... Two in the kitchen, one in the hall way, three in the living room... it was a house FULL of gates... NO organization.... It was stressful for me just to sit down and speak with her. She was screaming at the dogs to be quiet, she was even telling me how this dog or that dog is difficult or bad..... The entire environment was Stressful! I brought my dog in so she could meet him, and there was this huge dog in the same section as us and he was just out of control! He was attacking my dog and I was waiting for Elizabeth to do something about it, but she didn't do anything until I finally walked over and grabbed the dog to keep him from bitting my dog. It was an awful experience and I don't know how anyone could leave their dog with her if they truly care about the atmosphere they are in. It was high anxiety, stress, screaming, out of control dogs and dogs were in little sections of the house.... She is not organized to handle the amount of dogs she has. I opted out of this type of place for my dog because as a puppy I don't want him exposed to this type of stress so early in life. It may be fine for your dog, but I would never recommend Elizabeth for anyone's dog or cat. read more

I can't believe this woman is still at it - she brought about 8 dogs (large and small) to the dog park this morning, and they were totally out of control. She brought them all into the small dog area where one dog immediately started humping another, a small dog squeezed through the fence into the large dog area (as she walked back to her car, which was filled to the brim with more dogs) and another dog wouldn't stop snarling and barking at my dog through the fence. I'm so glad someone finally confronted her (nicely!) about her behavior this morning - and she had the nerve to argue with them! Fortunately I was planning on leaving right around the same time, or I would have said something as well. This behavior is habitual for Elizabeth, and frankly, I know that a lot of people are tired of it. I would caution against leaving your pet with her, ever. read more

I have used Elizabeth to care for my two senior dogs at my house. Per my instructions, she comes and feeds them breakfast and dinner, makes sure they have fresh water and spends some time with them. However, after my last time away from home and a few strange incidents, I will not be using her services again. one incident; My keys have been lost or misplaced (my gate and house key) that I had given to her. I keep an emergency set of keys outside hidden as I have locked myself out in the past. Well, apparently she has been using my emergency set of keys for some time now as she can't find my set of keys. She told me that she has over 300 sets of keys and that her mother had been cleaning and so now my keys are misplaced. I have finally given up contacting her about my lost keys and now will have to re-key my locks etc. In my opinion, she is not being a very considerate pet provider. read more

Elizabeth has been taking care of our dog when we're away for the last three years. She comes to pick him up, thoughtfully times pickups and drop-offs so that he gets maximum park time, and gives all the dogs under her care a lot of exercise and affection! Our dog even comes home with his nails trimmed when he needs it. We are so glad to have found her, because we know he is going to have a GREAT time while we're away. We've been leaving our two dogs (Labs) with Elizabeth for probably two years now whenever we go out of town, from a short 1-day trip, all the way up to a 10-day trip. She is wonderful! Our dogs come home so happy and exhausted from all the fun at their "babysitters" house. Whenever we go out of town, I feel like he's going on his own vacation when we board him with Elizabeth. I called her and she was great with all my dogs - 3 of them! I began using her to get my dogs out and socialize!
