I had such a great time here. Service was fantastic. Leo is such a sweet dog. Customer service here is 10/10. I felt so welcomed and I love the friendliness and kindness I experienced here. Jill and Casey were amazing. The performer Sammie J was awesome. Her voice is smooth as butter and crisp like a Pinot Grigio. From my flight I enjoyed the Red Door the most. The Petit Verdot was great along with the Cabernet Sauvignon (but you can't ever go wrong with a good cab sauv). There is plenty of seating indoors and a variety of seats outdoors. Parking is a bit of work but when you get in, you're good. I can't see this being a good place for groups, solo or a date. I would for sure come back to try more of their offerings and even their events.

Found this on Groupon and it was well worth the drive. The fist thing you will notice is the wonderful scenery while you are driving out. It was very easy to locate it as it sits on a major road. The vineyard is pretty small so there is not a lot of parking g available. Lucky for me that someone was leaving when I arrived and I was able to get on of the 5 parking spaces next to the main building. There was a sign for overflow parking in the rear but I did not venture over there. When you enter the tasting room you will be greeted by two friendly dogs. Just be aware that they will come right up to you if you have any apprehensions. My Groupon included a free tasting flight and $10 dollars off a bottle of wine. I am not big on wine so I had to ask the staff for some recommendations. He was friendly and took the time to explain several of the wines to me. I e joyed the three that I tried. I did explore the grounds a little. The outside seating areas have a lovely view. I imagine it looks even better in the spring or summer when everything is in full bloom. They do have a small stage outside as well. I definitely would come back again just for the view.

My girlfriends and I really enjoyed Elk Run! I found a Groupon which prompted me to try this vineyard as it's a little further away from me than other options and I'm so glad I did! I love the smaller size of this vineyard - it's more intimate and relaxing. For awhile, my girlfriends and I were the only people there so we could truly enjoy our conversation and company without distraction. The views are amazing and the employees are very kind and helpful. Plus, there was the bonus of the dogs to pet!!

My boyfriend and I bought a Groupon about two months before going. We hopped into the car one Sunday and said let's do it! It is located in mt airy. When we arrived they were very welcoming. They have Two watch dogs as well. The person was very attentive. They don't sell food on the premises so she suggested an Italian place about 10 min way! Thank you to her because it was delicious! Once we returned to the vineyard we had our flights and enjoyed the views. It was great Sunday. I suggest you bring some food and water to just relax at the place. They do have tables and had live music too

Led here by a Groupon deal I enjoyed a very laid back Friday evening at Elk Run. A very easy ride up Liberty Road from BaCo I highly recommend a visit. I was pleasantly pleased there was plenty of outdoor seating to spread out during these COVID times. The Groupon allowed for two tastings (3 wines each) and a $10 credit towards a bottle of wine. I would estimate we were given a list of roughly 20-25 wines to choose from. I enjoyed 1 of the 3 of my flight choices (unfortunately 2 were not of my liking) and opted to purchase a bottle of the Sangria to enjoy onsite. The live music was a great addition to the wine tasting experience. The website provides details of upcoming performances. Note: there is a $5 cover per person for live music. I noticed others seated outside brought "outside" food to enjoy with their wine. Elk Run does offer cheese, crackers, and light snacks-but I can easily see how packing your own treats would be preferred. There are a few vineyards in this area and Elk Run is worth a stop while exploring the area.

I had a good time at this winery. There was a cute golden retriever that greeted us when we arrived. For the tasting I had a Pinot noir, Riesling, and a dessert wine. They were all great. I liked the Riesling the best so I got a bottle. We also had some cheese and crackers with our tastings which were good.

Had a nice little trip out to this winery over Labor day weekend. It was about a 40 minute drive from Columbia, where I live. The place is small and the shop is very basic, so it's probably not a place I would go to and plan on sitting indoors. The outdoor space is large, so on a nice day it was very pleasant to sit and sip wine. I got the Groupon for a wine flight, so tried 3 different wines. The German wine (can't spell the name) was really light and refreshing. The Autumn sunset and Sweet Katherine were both sweet without being too sweet. I bought a bottle of Sweet Katherine to take home. Glasses of wine were mostly around $8, which seems like a great deal on wine! I don't know if I'll rush back given the distance, but if I'm in the area again I will make a point of stopping by.

I stopped by here for wine as it has great reviews online. It's a very small winery and I found all their wines to be a little too much on the earthy side for my palate. The girls working here were great, but the wines just weren't to my liking as I'm not into earthy wines.

Used a Groupon for (2) wine tasting flights and a bottle credit. Server was super friendly and asked someone to give us a tour which was not scheduled. The wine room/building itself is small but well decorated. The property is beautiful and the owners dogs were very friendly running around keeping each guest company.

This winery had a very unique aesthetic to it. The atmosphere kind of felt like i was at a blue grass concert. The tasting room was beautifully decorated, and the staff were very ready to help. We used their Groupon and received 2 flights and a $10 coupon towards a bottle for $18. A steal if I say so! I was most blown away by their wine Sweet Katherine. It was perfectly balanced and I used my credit to buy a bottle. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that some of the wines just weren't my personal favorite. If you are looking for traditional a Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, these are something a little different. They were good overall though, and I enjoyed the experience.

We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.

Highly recommend stopping by, whether for a tasting, a cocktail, brunch on Sundays or to support a local gem that's doing things the right way.

The whole place is a vibe. The decor is thoughtful, intentional, cozy, and inviting. The staff were welcoming, genuine, and extremely knowledgeable. Whether your are vino virgin or a cultured connoisseur, this spot is unpretentious and overwhelmingly welcome. But make no mistake... these ladies know their way around a grape, and they are well equipped to tell you whatever you need to know about what's in your glass. Let's get into these wines. I highly recommend the flight to get familiar with the different wines they have to offer. The Sparkling Vidal Blanc is not included in the pairing, so go on and get you a glass of that too. Trust me. The "Community" Vidal Blanc is easily one of the best bottles of white that has ever blessed my palate. Crisp, refreshing, full of bright, summery flavors but not too sweet... it's practically begging to be paired with a delicious plate of seafood (preferably one cooked with butter and lots of garlic). This is a great sipping wine, and an even better one to pair with dinner. The "Free Spirit" rose is another great sipping wine. Light, slightly sweet, and full of character, this was also a really great glass of wine. I like my reds a little bolder, so the "Living Legacy" red was not my favorite. It was still a good sip, and if you enjoy reds a little on the lighter side, this might be for you. Still worth a try in my book. Now I love bubbles and the only thing I enjoyed more than the vidal blanc was the sparkling vidal blanc! There's so much character in this bubbly... you'll have to taste and experience it for yourself. For me personally, it's high on the list of the best sparkling wines I've every had. If a plain glass of wine is not your thing, no worries. They also offer a number of wine-based cocktails, as well. In partnership with nearby businesses, the winery offers a limited variety of snacks including charcuterie boards, flatbreads, cake flights, as well as trail mix and popcorn available at the bar. I got the Smith Island Cake flight. While it's definitely not authentic Smith Island Cake, it's good to curb a raging sweet tooth. Speaking of partnerships, the winery also offers products from other local small businesses for sale: spices, body care products, jewelry and other items... So you can sip and shop. A few small areas of improvement I would recommend. -More, bigger and better signage...especially on the street. I was driving all around the area, then roaming all over Savage Mill Shopping Center before I finally found my way. -Provide more parking details, landmarks and directions on the website. (I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood, only to find that there was a free parking lot available). -Expand snack offerings... perhaps sell individually packaged snacks from local businesses for purchase within the winery. -Consider adding a flight that will allow patrons to try all of the wines available. Shoutout to Eden and the crew for such a fantastic afternoon of good vibes and great wine. I'll be back... and I'm bringing friends!

Excellent service & friendly staff from the welcome at check-in and throughout the experience. Cute touch with the Polaroid picture they took of us outside at the beginning to commemorate our time there. The lounge area is beautiful; loved all the overall style and vibe. They mentioned they will add seating outside in June, once the weather gets warmer! They also have farm animals roaming in the grassy area in the back. Food: the menu for lunch was pretty limited to some salads, small pizzas, a charcuterie board, and a few other small bites. We ordered the margherita pizza (made with sourdough focaccia) & the charcuterie board, for which I selected salami and several cheeses. Decent food, but not filling for a real meal. I assumed there would be more menu options after reading about the chef's tasting/kitchen. The wine: for the first bottle, I ordered The Stonehold, which is a red blend. Our server told us that it was one of their newer wine offerings, limited to only 100 bottles or so and once it's gone, it's gone. We all enjoyed this wine, so I highly recommend if they still have it available. For the second bottle, I ordered our server's favorite, which was the Fieldborn (another red wine), but we all still preferred the first bottle. At $88 a bottle, although they were good, we weren't particularly blown away by the wines. Overall, 4/5 for price to value ratio and limited selection for food & wine, but 5/5 for the service and ambiance.
