Sort of hidden in the back of the building there are 11 more spots. If those are taken, you're left to fend for street parking on narrow streets in the vicinity. If you want to come here to get work done on your laptop, seating with nearby outlets is limited, and there are no quiet spots in here, so you'll need high tolerance from library banter coming from the kid area, front desk, and the section where they are playing mahjong and other such games. There's a chess board, unfinished jigsaw puzzles, and comfy old style furniture around. Basically, this place is more geared towards a community center type of place for socializing rather than a "heads-down", getting work done type of place.

My daughter really likes this library and has the chance to play on computers and pick out all types of books to read. The librarians are helpful when you are looking for a particular book and would look up in their system to see if the book is available in other libraries close by if you really need the book. Its not the biggest library in Philly, but it still has a nice amount of reading materials, CDs, and movies to choose from to take home.

Staff is friendly and helpful should you need assistance. I try to go later in the evening to avoid the flow of traffic (cars and people) when school is in session. It's not the best library in the city but it's there and it's free. I you need a larger selection of books I would recommend visiting the Cottman Ave. location. If you aren't too picky, don't require a huge selection/variety of books and are looking to get in and out quickly this location will work for you.

I have lived back in the northeast again for about 4 years. This is the first time I recall being back to this library in almost 20 years. Not much has changed. Very spacious. Big selection. I didn't use the library portion today. I went because I was in the area, and wanted to look if they had any free books or ones on the discount 1.00 racks. I found several good ones in mostly good condition. I recommend this library, even if you don't live directly in the area. It's much bigger than many of the other libraries in the northeast.

Because they're part of MCLINC, you can order stuff from other libraries in the county and have it delivered! They will surely have anything you are in a "taste" for whether it's fiction and you want to go on an adventure; learn about gardening; increase knowledge in history; or anything else that suits you--it's a smorgasbord!! Plus many free events, activities and programs are offered monthly. This branch is smaller than some of the others but doesn't fall short at all. I almost always find a great read and if there is something specific I don't have, I simply ask for it to be sent here or any other close Library. I like that it is more intimate and has a cozy feel to grab a book and read. During the week many students stop in after school and get homework help. Glad some of the tax dollars are used for good! There's parking on-street and a drop off bin outside of it.
