This place…read moreis nice, but I don't know what the architects were thinking when they decided on high ceilings. This place is a giant echo chamber. There is so much noise here. Even the receptionist at the information desk was loud when she was talking to a resident. She didn't even try to speak quietly. People can be heard laughing and carrying on, the sound of phones ringing and beeping from scanning books can be heard from the other side of the building. Not an ideal place to come if you are looking for silence. I am astounded by how many people come into a library and do not bother to turn their cell phones on silent. Every few minutes I was hearing someone's phone ring. As I sat in the computer area, almost every person who sat around me had their cell phone on. They do have a really nice children's section, but it would help if they closed the doors so you can't hear the children carrying on from the other side of the library.

They also have the best media selection out of all of the Bucks libraries I have gone to. Like walls of DVDs. They have a HUGE children's section. Their selection of fiction doesn't look as large as other libraries but I don't think it really is smaller it's just in a smaller space. They have a great selection of books for sale. Much nicer than Warminster library. They are currently under renovation so I'm sure they will look even better when it is all done! I have been coming to this library ever since I was a little girl and it never disappoints! One of my fave Bucks libraries!

Their selection is not half bad as well, and they have a larger film section than most other libraries at the area. Since there's less traffic, it's easier to find something of interest. A decent location in the Bucks Library system.

This library is close to my home but I don't frequent it as much as I should but I rarely go to the…read morelibrary. Ive come here a few times to check out some kids books and always enjoy the kids library which is kid friendly. My daughter really likes this library and has the chance to play on computers and pick out all types of books to read. The librarians are helpful when you are looking for a particular book and would look up in their system to see if the book is available in other libraries close by if you really need the book. Its not the biggest library in Philly, but it still has a nice amount of reading materials, CDs, and movies to choose from to take home.

The library itself is rather small with a limited selection of books, however it is the closest location to my home so it is usually my go to. Staff is friendly and helpful should you need assistance. I try to go later in the evening to avoid the flow of traffic (cars and people) when school is in session. It's not the best library in the city but it's there and it's free. I you need a larger selection of books I would recommend visiting the Cottman Ave. location. If you aren't too picky, don't require a huge selection/variety of books and are looking to get in and out quickly this location will work for you.

Depending on the undergraduate degree you want to pursue, you might even stay for all four years! They're flexible and have night and summer offerings. Of course, contact the staff there for more information on current course offerings. Already done college? Besides being a fantastic satellite campus, Abington offers continuuing education courses and is host to cultural events open to the public, such as musical performances and movie showings. Words cannot adequately describe the impact that Penn State Abington has had on my life and the opportunities it has provided to me, and for a reasonable cost. Penn State Abington comes off as more than just some simple satellite campus. It has a life of its…read moreown with plenty of offerings and experiences to be had for those that attend. Yet, the campus is small enough to ensure you don't get washed out amongst the crowd. Every staff member I've interacted with are friendly and student focused. Speaking for the continuing education side, there seems to be something for everyone. It is easy to access from public transportation and has parking to spare, attempting to make everything as easy as possible on the students.
