She's great at keeping appointments, but this is where her professionalism ends. I felt very confused and disoriented during her sessions and she seemed intent on projecting things onto me that were false. I even went to another doctor and they said she was so far off base that they were surprised that she even received a license to be a therapist. When my current doctor went to ask her about her evaluation of me, he said that she couldn't give him a straight answer and refused to hand over any notes. He proceeded to throw out her evaluation, saying, that if she were just a grad student trying to write a paper on a case study, she would fail any decent program. I learned this about her, after the fact...To her credit, according to some of my friends who are attorneys, in East Texas: If you're looking to screw someone in the court room, she is a perfect find for you, because she'll make up about anything, if the price is right...One of the guys said, "She'll even say that Santa Clause might be dangerous pedophile for about $2000." Again, we paid in full on the date of the visit. I see another similar review about this type of billing practice. We don't have insurance, so this wasn't a matter of them waiting on insurance to pay. This is just sketchy. AND, the sweet receptionist on the phone actually said she didn't know why we were billed because our bill was actually high in the first place...oops...did she let something slip??? I won't go back...If you go, I suggest that you get a receipt that says PAID IN FULL!

U.S. Dermatology Partners calls part of their facility a "Surgery Center" which is just another room with an examination table with lights above. This gives them the opportunity to call it a Surgery Center which entitles them to charge patients an additional co-pay of $255.00. On May 12 this year I had a follow up on a biopsy that required removal of additional tissue and stitches. At checkout I was told by the office clerk that my charge would be $335.00. I mentioned that this charge was highly excessive and was told that the procedure was expensive. After contacting Humana Insurance, I was advised that I overpaid the copay by $80.00 of which I have requested a refund. U.S. Dermatology is very elusive about furnishing the refund. This is my first encounter with U.S. Dermatology and also my last. It remains my fault for getting into this trap by not doing my homework and reviewing their patient reviews. After some research I found that I will use Ephythamy Dermatology in Tyler. Their copay for this procedure is $45.00 with no Facility charge. Looks as one is for the money and the other is to help the patient.
