Sara did so much more than just take amazing photos. She helped me plan the timing of the whole day, with expert guidance and perspective on lighting and flow. She dedicated a lot of time and energy to help plan and prep with me so she really understood what we wanted for our big day. She was responsive and professional and also personable, sweet, and funny. When the day arrived, Sara and her second photographer Cecilia helped everything run so smoothly. She even knew how to calm me down when I was freaking out. Sara wrangled our big rowdy family and had lots of tricks for getting natural facial expressions and poses out of everyone including the children and the awkward adults. She kept us laughing while also moving us through the many groups we had lined up. I just looked through all the photos from the ceremony and I can't believe how many angles Sara and Cecilia captured-- they were everywhere... but how??? I swear they went into ninja stealth mode and nobody actually saw them... that's some real photo magic. And of course, the photos themselves are divine. I found out about LJ studios through the moms group on FB. I submitted an inquiry on line and pretty much did all communications via emails. Since there is some uncertainty to dates, Laura did a great job of keeping in contact to lock down a day after delivery. Day of, we showed up on time to her studio, which is in a house in the Lindberg park area if you are familiar with Culver City. So lots of parking all over in residential area. She gave us some options for color schemes and looks and whisked the baby away for her shoot. Then before you know if, it's done! She is really good with communicating ETAs and sending previews. We did a view thru zoom to pick photos and i think it was less than two weeks later they were edited and in my inbox! The photos all turned out beautifully.

I was completely blown away by her skills and the final results of my photoshoot. I was nervous initially booking the shoot since I've always felt extremely awkward in front of a camera. I tend to freeze up and have always been told to "relax my face" a million times. Whenever someone is about to take a picture, I suddenly realize I have arms and hands and don't know what to do with them! Enter Cindy. Her sweet, warm, friendly energy put me immediately at ease. I had specific edits for her... my hair had flyaways, my clothing had wrinkles, and basic beauty stuff. She executed every request I had.
