We brought in our newborn at eight days old, and Beverly (we have dubbed her "the Baby Whisperer") was so gentle and patient with him. She knew exactly how to swaddle and pose him, while Steve was a true artisan with the camera. Steve captured the most expressive shots at all the right angles. Beverly and Steve were also very receptive to our requests! My husband is a rock climber, so we wanted to create a couple of newborn pictures that included his climbing gear. Beverly made it come together so beautifully! Steve and Beverly were also patient and kind about newborn messes (spraying during diaper changes, spit up after feeding, etc.). They've seen it all (they are parents themselves), and the mess doesn't faze them. In addition, they gave some great advice to ease my anxieties as a first-time mom. What a wonderful experience I had at Love Me Silly Studio! I can't tell you how easy and can and stress free this experience was. I decided last minute that I wanted newborn pics and they graciously rearranged their schedule to accommodate me. Not only this but they didn't even bat an eyelash when i asked if could bring my two French bulldogs to include them in the pictures! I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. I loved my experience shooting my maternity photos at their home studio. They're very accommodating. Our session was scheduled at 11am, and they let us come 2 hours ahead to do our make up and hair. We also ended up staying till pass 1pm, which is almost an hour longer than what we paid for. So we took a total of 4 hours of their time while only paid for 90 minutes. During the shoot, they were patient, helping me change into 4 different looks. And best of all, they kept encouraging me, making me feel pretty and confident. I think that's really important. And when we saw the photos, I was in love... This experience and the amazing photos made our first pregnancy memory even more special. I did my research. And seriously they are really affordable. We just did a session for my son's cake smash session and it was wonderful. Steven and Beverly were really great with my son and got him to smile for most of the pictures. They also made my husband and I fell really comfortable and it comes across in the photos. I usually come out very awkward and nervous in photos, but I actually came out looking like myself in the family photos, which is always a nice surprise! We have now used Love Me Silly Studio for two newborn sessions: our daughter back in 2018 and most recently our son in April of this year. We've had consistently wonderful sessions both times! Beverly has such a warm, nurturing demeanor; the way she so carefully and gracefully works with newborns isn't something that can be taught. She's so natural, and it really comes through in Steven's beautiful photography. As a team they are so patient and really care about getting that perfect set of photos for you. Their home studio is immaculate. I was very nervous about taking my newborn and 2 year old for indoor photos with COVID, but Steven and Beverly maintained professionalism and curtesy throughout the entire session. Everyone wore masks (they wore KN95s) and all backdrops and accessories were freshly washed and sanitized. I was really hoping to duplicate a photo they'd captured with my daughter for her newborn session, however my son kept popping out of the position. It was taking soooo long. I'd imagine many other studios would have just said they couldn't get the shot, but Beverly so patiently waited until she could get my son settled - and they got it! I had procrastinated and was worried i had missed my window to find someone for my son's 1st birthday but Beverly responded promptly and explained everything clearly and we were able to set it up in time! There are so many studios to choose from in LA, and after calling several I found on Yelp, I decided to book with LMS; their photos on Yelp are beautiful and I was hoping to capture a similar look with my little girl. I am SO glad I went with Love Me Silly. Steven and Beverly are a dream team! The moment we walked into their home studio, my anxiety associated with taking my 10 day old baby to a photo shoot was instantly eased. Their studio is immaculate and they are both such lovely people. They keep the studio warm for the comfort of your newborn, and have loads of accessories you can use, all of which are cleaned between each use. Beverly is very gentle with how she handles your baby when swaddling, accessorizing and posing. During our session I never felt rushed; it was definitely a very personal and fun experience! Untouched photos were uploaded and sent to me within the time promised. Steven was fantastic to work with during the editing process. He took great care to ensure my photos had the look I was going for (I can be a pretty picky client, unfortunately for him - ha!). I have been looking for a photographer for my baby girl, and happened to stumble upon this studio on Yelp as well as Instagram. I was immediately drawn to how close they were to us. Everyone knows how hard it is to travel with a newborn, so the distance from us was a plus. I also loved the all the photos that the studio had posted on their social media accounts. I decided to book them, and immediately got a response from the couple. They were quick to reply and schedule a photo shoot session. When we arrived to their studio, I was happy to see that they were well equipped with everything needed to keep baby comfortable. Having my first child everything is unknown , I was definitely nervous but Beverly and Steven were so professional and organized they made this experience memorable.
