I think NOT I live a very clean, active lifestyle as you can see in the photo of me on the rocks. Along came menopause, and the dreaded unwanted weight gain. I was thrilled to see that Airsculpt was offered in Birmingham, MI. I was honest, very vulnerable, and led to believe that I was going to have outstanding results due to the success rate and the active lifestyle I lead. I was told by Dr. Chau that all of the fat cells will be taken out! Do you think that is represented in the photos attached????? NO! By the way, Dr. Chau said to me that "he does this with his eyes closed" I followed every protocol that was given to me from the beginning of my post op. I began to question the lumpiness of my abdomen during the months to come with multiple unreturned texts, returned phone calls, and photos, aside from the 3 month post op visit and the 6 month post op visit. There were no clear answers given. I was told this is normal and the lumpiness will go down with time. NOT TRUE! and UNACCEPTABLE. Now I am a fat lumpy monster with vascular discoloration! Also, my inner thighs are uneven and lumpy. I was told,the human body is not even. That is how this was addressed. At my 6 month follow up I was told that there is nothing to be done. I don't need to come back for any more post op appointments. I was discharged. This was very dismissive with no conclusion to what is now a gross lumpy uneven mess. I am told that is the risk that one takes. Yes, I signed consent to treat. Nothing like this result was discussed. I paid $14,000.00 dollars in full! and this is what I am left with. Now I am left to try to find a reputable physician to revise this disgusting result. I firmly believe that I should be reimbursed for services rendered. If not the whole $14,000.00 dollars than at least half. I need to find a financial way to fix this monstruous mistake.

I spent over 4K, and the procedure produced no results, just downtime, swelling and numbness, one full year! I came to his office in distress because I was teased over the years about a particular area that's hard to lose weight in even when small. He looked at me like I was dirt initially because I was so casual and not one of his normal wealthier clients, I suppose, but he warmed up when he noticed that I could actually pay for the surgery, so he performed it, no questions asked. Only after he took the money and the procedure didn't show results, did he say, "Well just lose weight. Cut out the soda and pies. Eat in proportions. Eat more vegetables. Yada Yada." You mean I spent 4 grand just for you to tell me that? He did tell me that I could come back and have a redo for free just pay the hospital stay and anesthesia costs, but I was hesitant because of the long downtime. I know drs. aren't miracle workers, but he should have declined this surgery because as a physician, he knows that you can't spot reduce on an already heavy person because the remaining fat cells will just fill in the gaps/spaces that are left behind from the liposuction in no time if the person is not losing and/or maintaining wt loss. I had been small before, and still have this fat issue in this area, but it would've been better had I lost the weight first and maintained it. The money was wasted and the downtime all for nothing. Yes, this is common sense, but I was in distress at the time having noticed this issue, as stated, even when I was smaller. I was just at my wits end, so I opted for surgery.

I've gotten surgery, fillers, and non-invasive procedures (facials, microneedling) and have never had anything but a wonderful experience. I've referred people here and they always have wonderful things to say. As a background, I have been to other plastic surgeons and medspa businesses both in and outside the area and have never felt as comfortable as I do here. Dr.Z is patient, friendly, and honest. He will tell you what is realistic for your goals. The staff is great, too, and they even know my voice when I call on the phone. The one not so good experience I had was with a microneedling procedure with PRP (I'm not good with blood draws, so it was more my own fault), but they wanted me to have a positive experience and treated me to a complimentary facial the next time I came in. As for all the negativity, I really don't get it, other than there always will be those few disgruntled people. Not every surgeon is for everyone, and that's ok. However, i can't speak for other areas, but I have never been to one plastic surgeon who does not charge a fee for an initial COSMETIC consult (maybe the talented physicians in Beverly Hills are just so prevalent, or they're so rich they can spend time on free consults day in and day out). This fee can be applied to a procedure, and I've always thought that was standard practice. Dr. Z also works with residents, so it's usually him, a nurse, and a resident in the room. The future surgeons and doctors have to learn, too. I found him on RealSelf, where there are lots of reviews. I would also encourage you to look him up on Instagram or Facebook.
