Dr always in a rush, if you like doctors that take time to talk to parents and get to talk and know kids, this is not the right dr for you. She knows medicine but lacking bed side manners, now my daughter hates going to drs becsuse of this experience. Plus office needs a good remodel, clean but looks like from 1970's. read more

Amazing!!! I am a mother of 8 kids.. we moved to Florida 8 years ago and Dr Altenburg is the best pediatrician my kids have ever had!! She goes above and beyond to make sure her she is doing everything possible for her patients. I am happy that she is now the Dr for my first grand baby! Dr Ellen has been an amazing physician for both my kids. This week we saw her for my son's last appointment since he is off to college. I moved from colorado to Florida with a 2 month old. Before leaving colorado I called to schedule appointment with Dr Altenburg for 4 month vaccines. Before this visit, my child developed severe reflux. I called her office several days in a row and left messages. No one would return my calls. I found a different pediatrician to address the acute issue. Fast forward to the day before her scheduled appointment for vaccines....her office left a voicemail canceling. I took off work and made this appointment months in advance. The reason....she isn't taking new patients during the pandemic. I am a physician myself and would never treat patients this way. Do yourself a favor and find a different pediatrician. read more

Love Dr Altenburg. She has been our dr for about 10 years off and on (moving around for school) and I trust her over any other dr I've been to. We have been with Dr. Altenburg for nearly 11 years and have nothing but great things to say about her and her practice. Dr. Altenburg listens to our concerns as parents and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Altenburg is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. She has taken amazing care of 5 of 8 of our children. In fact our older children all complained when they graduated from high school and couldn't see Dr. A anymore. I cannot imagine trusting anyone else with my children. read more
